👍👍 Friern Barnet Retail Park is a lovely spot and I went to Curry's to get a chromebook and it's been great so far. The staff was friendly as well and there was a lot of gadget options to choose from. People often mention park, parking, retail, shops, good, stores, nice, shop, McDonald', Costa,

Nice little retail park limited number of shops. It is not buzy and the car park is free. However a nice place to come with kids. It has a nice Costa Coffee place as.well which is quiet and useful when you need to chat with a friend.

BEWARE - they have some cowboy firm called UKPC enforcing 3 hour parking limits. No signs I saw. Get £60 fine a few day later. Why would anyone park there unless for genuine shopping? So clearly they don't want you to shop long on a huge retail park (or they do - and hit you for £60)

What a day! Went to sports direct for socks and bought a football for the kiddo, Halfords, unfortunately they didn't have a replacement rear wiper for my car, pet shop to have a browse around with my very interested son, then to the toy shop and I thought he was a very helpful good boy this week so I got him some Lego. We went to Currys/ PC World to have a browse around for Google home accessories to no avail, and that ate a bit of the afternoon.. great result

I parked outside Pets at home for 10 minutes having spent £120 on dog food. I received a £100 parking fine because my wheel was 30cm over the parking bay line in the car park at 10 am in the morning, the car park was empty ! . I will never use Friern Barnet Retail Park again to shop. What a terrible way to reward a loyal user of the retail park for the last 20 years.

I like the shops here but it's a long walk to get to - no buses pass this way - so one needs to have a car to get to it - its impossible to shop here if you have difficulty walking far.

The Friern Bridge retail park home to stores such as: McDonald's, Costa coffee, Subway, SYMTH'S, Furniture village, Sports Direct, B&Q, DuneLm, Currys etc. A good little stop off if your looking for some furniture or even a toy shop with great deals. Easy to find parking with their free parking space which I believe runs for 2 hours. It is also accessible via Tube, Bus and Rail way which would be followed by a walk. Around the corner not too far away you can also find Aldi and B&M if you fancy some grocery shopping to get it all on a days work.

Plenty of parking, good selection of large stores. Great easy access on the week ends. During the week, you may want to plan your visit around the rush hours. But; at the same time, it's quieter in the stores during the rush hours.

Pedestrian access to the retail park is terrible. There are some crummy wooden steps caked in mud leading up to the retail park from the North Circular Road, and that's about it as far as official access goes. Pedestrians can also get there from the other side of the retail park, near Sportsdirect. But you have to walk down a steep grassy slope and there is no welcome or recognised access to pedestrians there. They really do not care one bit about pedestrians and it has been like that from the very beginning.

This Toy Store is one of the best and my all time favourite place to be with my children. You can find toys for babies, kids, teens and even adults! The staff members are very friendly and extremely approachable. Please Keep up with the good work and know that you have a customer here that really appreciates every detail you all put into this shop….

My local retail park has the necessary stores I need most for DIY, household items, house decor, furniture, sportswear, and of course, a couple of places to eat or have a coffee/tea. I like shopping here as there are loads of parking spaces and all shops are on one level and within walking distance of each other.

The company employed to monitor parking at this retail park is guilty of practices close to extortion. I drove my disabled neighbour to get some pet food for her dog and to allow her to get out of the car was forced to park slightly away from the next car, my car just touching white parking line. For this I was fined £100. I will no longer do any shopping at this retail park which should be universally boycotted.

Never coming back again !!!! I got a PPC (parking charge) for being there for 2hours and 10mins . It is a shame to be able to stay there just for 2 hours. If you want to eat, have a coffee and shop with kids - it would be impossible unless you sprint and get lucky. Be careful as it is not easy to see the sign regarding the parking. It is best to use another retail park instead of worrying and checking your watch/phone all the time.

Made the mistake of trying to get here by public transport as I had to go to Dunelm. Totally impossible and involved a scary walk through a woodland path. Only suitable for car users.

This is a pretty decent retail park with useful big box retailers like Halfords, Dunelm, Sports Direct etc. There's always space to park although the numerous speed bumps are a threat to life and limb.

Best road humps in the country. If you want to mess up your car real good then this is the place! You're guaranteed a hump every 5-10m. Car suspension playing up? Finish it up here!

There's a bunch of shops. Level roads for parking. Annoying and too high spoed bumps. No public restroom. Always a reason to have annoying kids, ie McDonald's and subway and even a Costa if I'm not mistaken. It was great to get here. But even better to leave.

These store sells good products but never have things in stock which is frustrating best to order online. When needing assistance no one there to ask only staff available is on the tell i believe the store needs to invest more into there stores with better layout more staff and better stock. And not so overly priced items as there are online and other stores that sells similar items for less eg bedding sheets and covers and curtains.

Carpark an absolute nightmare with the over zealous speed humps. Although B & Q opens at 7am, do not enter before then as you will get a penalty ticket of £55. Overall experience is naff!

Loverly place for younger kids reasonable prices. Just wish they had some items for teenagers other than computer games. I went in hear and there wasn't anything for a 13 year old girl, an area with some technology or book section or arts a crafts area might be an idea. Pottery stuff a kids haberdashery with sparkly stuff or wooden boxes to bedazzled something anything ..... 🤔

Good selection of stores, it's a shame cyclists seem to think they can use zebra crossings which are for pedestrians. I am a cyclist too. Love the petsathome. Could do with some better food outlets.

Friern Barnet retail park is not a bad place to shop and there are plenty of reasonably big stores to choose from. From BQ to Furniture Village and many more such as Pets at Home and Macdonald's and Costa Coffee and various other stores. Also it has a great car park and plenty of spaces to park. So in my opinion if it's just a simple DIY project your after BQ probably has what your after and I forgot to mention there's a Halfords there a Toy Store Curry's and Sports Direct. So this Buisness park really has a lot going for it. Also I would highly recommend this as a place to shop because all of the stores are within close proximity of each other.

Lots of shops that I needed. Only wish KFC will open a branch here. For those who drives there are ample parking. Be aware that there is a two hours, I think, restriction. Those who needs public transport there is bus 232, 221 and 382. Do google check the stops and it does not take long to get from the bus stops to the retail park. There is the New Southgate train station, where bus 232, 382 and 221 stops here, if travelling by train. Not sure which train lines as I am a 'bus' person 🤣🤣. In summer do use the greens, a fair size, bring your hamper basket or just have Mac, Costa or Subway .. hope you good time if you do come.

Good collection of shops, but those speedbumps ... Someone should be publicly lynched for them and then committed to an asylum. There are so many better ways to control the traffic. Not to mention that almost everyone drives carefully in such spaces. They close it for the night, so no need to worry about illegal races. Seriously, what were they thinking?

Go their later in the day and it's empty , much easier to look around . Go weekend afternoon and it's a different story , queue to drive in to park can take 20 mins . If you have time take a walk behind McDonald's into the park , did not know how nice it was ,

Limited range of stores. You have to have a specific reason to come here, not really one for browsing. Functional, and there is good free parking.

Free parking. Always spaces available. Nice green spaces to walk the dog behind, with a pretty little pond (when not littered with trolleys etc). But be careful not to get your car locked in over night.

Money pit if you have little munchkins like me. You will find most toys. A word of advise to parents. Don't go inside with the children unless you are loaded. Every toy they have seen on tv adverts in one place!!

Nice are, with a great parking spaces. Most useful brands are there like Dunelm, B&Q, Currys, Sport direct and more and at the end there is a large Costa and Mc Donnalds to seat. Thus, recommended.

Good collection of retail stores and fast food stores. The Retail Park boosts of stores such as Curry PC world, Furniture Village, DuneIM , sports direct McDonald’s , subway , costa, smyths toy store etc,. It has a nice open parking with no restrictions and ample parking space. Not busy

A great choice of shops and parking it's easier here than in a lot of areas. There's something for everyone here and a drive in restaurant, so no going hungry either! Ita feels clean and bright and being off the A406 is very accessible.

Big retail park which has developed and got better & better over the years Added a Costa and subway recently which gives more eateries, before it was just McDonald's. The shops there are good too, sports direct, b&q and Halfords to name a few. Many parking spaces so never to worry about that

Maccas, subway, Sports Direct, B&Q, Furniture Village, Smith's Toys, Dunelm, Currys, Halfords. All big. All good, but can be at low stock on a lot of things quite often. Car park has more speed bumps than I've ever witnessed.

We got a PCN for parking a few minutes more than the 3 hour limit which is insanely low for a large retail park, specially if you are with a 1 year old! We went over time as the employee in Smyths was at lunch which delayed the car seat installation!

  • 5/5 Gordon T. 10 months ago on Google
I've given 5 stars, even though there's a limited number of shops...the reason for the 5 stars is...when visiting friends in the area and especially the improving weather, I'll walk from Friern Barnet train station I'm able get a vanilla or banana milkshake from McDonald's in Friern Barnet Retail Park which makes the walk more enjoyable...added bonus there's a small Park with a lake that runs at the side Friern Barnet Retail Park...a heads-up if McDonald's runs out of ice cream go for the milkshake just as good with the ice cream melting down your hand...

A really well thought out retail park that is pleasantly green with well tended bushes and plants and not the concrete monstrosity of other parks!

  • 1/5 Steven G. 9 months ago on Google
I've given this place one star to draw attention to the recent draconian regime (starting a few months ago in 2023) which has been brought in to penalise those who do not park perfectly within the (almost visible!) white lines. And the underhand tactics used by those that manage the parking (who seem to be at odds with many of those who work within the shops at the retail park too).
