Gunpowder Park has a car park for about 30 cars and costs about a quid an hour to 4 hours then Β£5 for up to 24 hours. There are toilets by the car park. The grasslands are pleasant without being spectacular and it is a shame that you can't walk along the Lea River. I would say that the Lea Valley north of M25 is a more attractive destination than this bit.

This is a decent size park that looks a lot like it's been reclaimed from scrubland. So it's not particularly pretty but it is quiet and there are both tarmac and natural paths available to suit your inclination. Good if you fancy a run or somewhere to walk your pooch.

A Country park located on a former military ammunition testing site, admirably administered, spread over varied terrain with associated wildlife habitats. Well maintained pathways, cycle-tracks and bridle paths afford ease of access over mostly fairly even surface. A Field Station, toilets and parking located at the Sewardstone Road entrance on the Waltham Abbey side. Picturesque, pleasant, peaceful and relaxing with an abundance of flora and flora. Scattered swathes of biennial Teasal stalks an unusual touch here forming a delicate tracery against the meadows and skyline . If you’re attracted to nature, prefer quiet and solitude - this park likely to appeal.

This park has surplanted Belmont Recreation Ground as my new favourite park in all of London. On a beautiful sunny day, the park is unlike any other and the silent ambience is truly in keeping with the naturalistic beauty of the park itself. There are a few quiet spots where you can just lose yourself for hours reading a good book, having an afternoon picnic or a taking snaps of the breathtaking views surrounding you. A real gem of a place and one I constantly return to during the Summer months to truly appreciate all that the park itself has to offer.

It is a perfect place to go for a walk by yourself, with friends or family and if you have a dog you can take it for a walk too.

It's a nice small wetland with good paths. Suitable for pushchairs. Boarders with paths up and down lea Valley so walks can be extended. Very limited parking.

I'm sure it is brilliant but I think I took a wrong turn into the carpark earlier!
