Excellent service with helpful friendly staff. They have a large selection of gin and whiskey to choose from. Gentlemen I spoke to on the phone to find out if they had Brokers kindly saved the bottle for me to collect and buy which was very much appreciated

Super duper nice staff at this one. Went in on feb 8th, 2020 and immediately was met with a kind man who asked if I needed help. I ended up buying some smaller bottles of whiskey as gifts and they were nice enough to provide some bubble wrap so I can check them in my suitcase. Super nice, they let you taste before you buy, if there's a bottle open, and if not, they find you something similar to taste. Love the customer service here.

Great experience if you are Into whiskey or even if you are not you can still leave educated! Viny our expert was great and has excellent knowledge on all types of Whisky. Not many of these in London! One small suggestion would be to maybe offer a small discount after the experience if consumers wish to purchase something from the shop... other than that it's great

Went here with my husband for what we thought would be a quick trip to hunt down some locally produced spirits before our flights back home, but ended up getting a whirlwind tour of world gins in what was easily the best sanctuary of spirits i’ve ever seen. shout out to Pete, especially, for the wonderful experience and the encouragement to try new things through our flight tasting. Pete’s knowledge of gin, its intricacies, and its history really made our visit here an *experience* and not just a trip to a bottle shop. we ended up purchasing a bottle of whisky and a south african gin that I wouldn’t have tried otherwise. next time we’re in london, we will be heading back to the whisky exchange. cheers!

Lovely store with nice vibes. Staff members I interacted with were very pleasant and welcoming. I did not feel as if they were being judgemental towards me, unlike the staff in Covent Garden. If they were, they did a very good job of hiding it as I was not able to detect a thing. A gentleman who was handling my requests – I think his name is Pete as that is the name on the receipt he gave me after I purchased my goods – gave great service from beginning, middle to end. Nothing was overdone or exaggerated. None of that fake nonsense. He also carefully gift wrapped both items for me and placed them in a bag. This was a lovely final touch to a delightful shopping experience. Future visits to The Whisky Exchange will be at this store.

I have to say this was one of my top 5 shopping experiences. With extremely short notice and a fairly demanding brief that I gave them, the shop managed to engrave my bottle of rather lovely George T Stagg Kentucky Bourbon with a special message to a client, find a beautiful wooden box to present it in, and worked tirelessly for half a day on pulling it all together in time for me to make my flight to Montreal for the next day. Special thanks to Pete for the meticulous work on the engraving, and to Val for keeping me occupied whilst I waited in the shop for a couple of hours - lovely chaps and fantastic service. Needless to say my client loved the gift. We'll just have to wait for him to taste it now to round off the feedback. :)

A simply amazing alcohol store. One floor is dedicated to whiskey and another floor has other alcohol. There is a descent selection of wine, modest selection of beer but the key feature of the shop is the selection of spirits, liqueurs and other stuff for cocktails making. Overall it’s my favourite alcohol store in London so far. There are certainly a lot of much better wine, beer and cider stores but if you are looking for whiskey, spirits or cocktail components this is the place to go

Placed an order online and picked up at Great Portland Street shop. All went like clockwork and very friendly service in shop when collecting. A+ from me and Happy Christmas!

Enormous range of spirits and liquors, with helpful staff. A whole floor of whiskeys (in the basement), from Scotland, Ireland, the USA, Japan, and places I never imagined would produce whiskey. On the ground floor, rum, gin, vodka, brandy, tequila, cachaca, mezcal, and all sorts of other drinks. I thought I knew my rum, but there were a large number I'd never heard of. One of the few (or only?) places in London that stocks a range of Haitian Clairin. The staff are friendly and approachable; if you need advice, they are there to help. Highly recommended; I had to leave before I cleared out my bank balance!

Fantastic place to find novel whiskeys. Sure they have the expected distilleries. But if you tell the staff your usual, they will often be able to direct you to a new or less poplar distillery. Was purchasing a bottle for friends birthday, he is smokey and peaty (Laphroaig fan). They reccomended the Torabhaig, very impressive indeed.

Lovely new store with a large selection of all spirits. The whisky cellar is nice and big. Staff were helpful and not pushy.

I went in to browse the rum selction. Told them what I liked. That was the beginning of a great tasting adventure that led me to buying a bottle that I'd never heard of, and a truly funky Mezcal. There was zero pressure to buy, just a really great conversation with people who know their stuff. I've never posted a photo before, but these guys were awesome.

Terrible customer service experienced at this store today. Was interested in purchasing a few bottles of whisky to take home with me (overseas visitor). Staff completely condescending and rude when asked questions. Not helpful at all and practically had to beg the employee to bubble wrap a bottle that I purchased. Clearly they don’t need the business. Won’t be back and would rather support other establishments that value their customers and take the time to engage with them.

We went through almost all the whisky shops during our London trip but this probably has to be the most impressive of all. A museum on its own, old and rare vintage, from Scotland, Japan or the USA. A wonderful selection of more classical bottlings but also an extensive list of rare and old bottles. Staff was very nice, we could taste some newly released Waterford.
