Absolutely awful and rude service. Went in last night and my drinks were poured awfully because the bartender kept looking and chatting to people and missing my actual glass I had to tell her twice to be careful. Went there three times this morning as the website said ‘open’ when in fact nobody was in at all, last time went back about half with a few people waiting around as door said 9am and website said open we called up and they said 12 as managers aren’t in yet then we had staff barging past us to get into the work place shoving us out the way. 12 came around and the workers were coming outside but kept locking up so asked when they would be open they said ‘we don’t know’ we stated we were told 12 as it was 12:15 at this point and he said ‘no idea could be another couple of hours.’ I then said ‘That’s not very good is it telling us three different things.’ He then went in and suddenly all managers were already there and they opened the doors but a big man who worked in the kitchen tattoos on his arm came and placed the table with rubbish in front of me and let everyone else in. I still went ahead he was definitely trying to intimidate me but when I got in and asked the bar and the ‘manager’ if the app was finally fixed and instead she started to do the ‘ma ma’ hand gestures like sharpay from high school musical when she ‘calms’ herself down. This was also on a glass 🤮 won’t be returning awful food, awful people. Other Spoons have lovely staff. Disgusting their behaviour.

A great atmosphere with plenty of folk enjoying the warm weather. The big disappointment was the interior scaffolding hiding the decor. I will have to return when the refurbishment is complete.

I was here a couple of weeks ago to get a coffee in the late morning. It was busy with mainly male customers eating their lunch, so there was no space for me to sit, hence I tried to see if I could go upstairs. Straight away I was told that part was closed (why?), and directed to a side tiny room where there were three small tables, but also the entrance for workers to the part of the building which is being renovated. As such, there was a lot of coming and going of people with helmets, speaking and stopping and crowding the space. The toilet facilities were out of order/not possible to use them, and was told to use the ones of the station downstairs! Since with the 1.20 Pounds mug for hot drinks you can get refills and it was a cold day, I tried to get a second coffee but... the machine was out of coffee and could only get hot chocolate or water! Couldn't be bothered to tell staff and since wasn't enjoying the place I just left after 15 minutes. Staff was not friendly either. If in the area, I would definitely choose another place for coffee and would not recommend this one.

Casual, relaxed ambience. Mixed crowd of pensioners, tourists, students & local workers. We visited late afternoon on a weekday. Comfortable temperature. Friendly staff. Food arrived promptly. Well presented, but not very hot.

(As I always begin reviews of chains) It's a "Spoons". So you know exactly what you're getting. Large range of beers at reasonable prices. No intrusive music. Cheap food. This one is having its rather grand interior renovated right now. Absolutely rammed as opposed to most City pubs on a Thursday post new year with a good mixed crowd of builders and office workers grabbing a few drinks before catching their trains at, next door, Liverpool Street. Service was a bit standoffish. Staff would stand back before one jumped in. Almost like they operate some weird cab rank system?

Very disappointed after a few years haven’t been to Weatherspoon… They used to have very delicious chicken wings and ribs on the menu, but now no more. We ordered some deep fried chicken with chips and drinks, they were alright, nothing special. But the place still look nice at least.

Didn't try the food, just stopped in for a quick grog while awaiting a train. Interior design is pretty spectacular. I believe this is the original station ticket office ( before it became a glass box) Staff were helpful, but the price of a single shot of rum is now the same as a pint was 2 years ago. I reckon it's probably better for food if you're looking for a bargain.

Plenty of bar staff to give serve drinks so even when it is busy you don’t have to wait long to get served. As it is at Liverpool Street station it gets busy so it is hard to get a chair or table. However considering location the prices are decent and always good for a quick drink. The decor is quite old but acts a bit of character

Ornate Wetherspoons, right next to Liverpool Street Staion. The former ballroom of the Great Eatern Hotel, its very well restored, mostly, & looks very grand for a spoons. Everything else though is standard spoons. Great, reasonable priced pub for a few drinks before the train.

This 'Spoons was busy on a Friday evening, lots of people were sitting outside on a warm September evening... Inside looks very ornate, I discovered it was once a ball room. All the decor details was captivating. Ordered a Guinness and their pancakes. Staff were nice too. Hope there are disabled toilets downstairs... Mens toilets were out of order. Will recommend to friends.

Conveniently placed Wetherspoon, just outside the main entrance to Liverpool street station, with information boards on train times and platforms inside. Reasonably priced for food and drinks, having a pint in zone 1 for a fraction of the price of other establishments. Plenty of seating downstairs, upstairs and outside, can get quite busy with the after work crowd and match days.

Another excellent Wetherspoons, although it was very busy, we ordered food and it arrived very quickly, by pleasant staff. The meals were all amazing value, tasty, hot and good-sized portions. A great venue

Loved the decoration of the place. It looks so fancy for being just a pub. It's neat that the sitting room of the bathrooms overlooks the train station. They had quite a few beers on tap and we drank lots of jäger bombs. The staff could have been friendlier though.

The best service in the 'Spoon' I remember during the long time. Very climatic place even though in refurbishing project. Food served quickly, quality as expected, the staff at bars and all those cleaning tables wonderful, really friendly and helpful. It's located in the former ballroom of the old Great Eastern Hotel. It's in the City namely in Liverpool Street Station. Great range of craft beers. Really a nice place to drop in.

I suppose it's the must-do when travelling, stopping off for a cheeky drink at the pub beside the train station. Some days, especially weekends, this place is hopping! People from all walks of life. Lots of variety on tap and their large glass of wine... is erm... quite large. I've met some of the nicest people in this pub. Go on, stop in for "one." 😂🍺🍷

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. My friend and I had the lasagne and it was really good. The service we received from Saen and Jada was excellent. They were quick, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Well done guys!

This is a Wetherspoon, so regarding the food, well, it is what it is, for a pub I think is good. I have used the app to place my orders and I was pleasantly surprised how fast I was served. It is worth mentioning the great service from the guys working in the bar who dealt very promptly and extremely professional and friendly, to correct a little mistake in one of my orders. Overall the best Wetherspoon I have been to. Good work guys, well done.

This pub offers a decent culinary experience with a 3-star rating for its food; the menu provides satisfactory options without being extraordinary. The service is consistent, earning another 3 stars, ensuring patrons are attended to but not exceeding expectations. The highlight lies in the inviting atmosphere, earning a commendable 4 stars, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to unwind with friends or family.

The decor was magnificent, loved it! The barcode for mobile ordering service was inoperable, should be fixed. Typical JD Wetherspoon service as is expected.

Good pub in a great location.. Good selection of beers, wine, and spirits. It's your typical wetherspoons pub grub. Good sized with a lot of tables inside out outside. However, be warned peak times it will be extremely busy. However, I popped in Friday, and although it was jam-packed, the actual queue for the bar wasn't long at all. Definitely a must of you missed your train.

I love this place, I always take a visit if I come to Liverpool street station. Even if it's 9 am. Now I had a nice breakfast with a beer. The interior always amaze me.

Building still ongoing so the atmosphere is dark, I miss the lovely ceilings and artwork. Food is delicious and always great deals and portions! I do wish they didn't discontinue American pancakes from the breakfast menu though

Located next to Liverpool Street station the Hamilton hall is a busy pub. It was previously a ballroom and now-restored hall of the old Great Eastern Hotel. It is one of the most impressive looking pubs that I have seen. Food was very good and the staff were very efficient at clearing and cleaning the tables. Located on 2 levels with bars on both levels.
