What a discovery! I’d seen the signs to this place a while ago but had never been. Really enjoyed being here - great atmosphere and vibe. The children were enjoying the water fountains in the warm afternoon sun. Good mixture of eateries and places to sit to watch the world go by. Spent a good couple of hours here.

I walked from work to Samsung store located nearby and passed by Granary Square. What an amazing place. Families with kids aying in the dancing waters, friends enjoying the sun oby the canal, couples enjoying lunch in different restaurantes and street food stalls. Summertime is a MUST to go to this new place. You will love the atmosphere.

Lovely area which effortlessly combines history, culture and consumerism. Easily accessible from Kings Cross St Pancras. A great place to socialise and explore. Good range of independent and chain outlets to eat and drink which means that one visit will not be enough. Great setting by the canal More people need to be aware that it's here!

Magnificent public square on the banks of the Regent canal by Kings Cross station. Amazing display of fountains. Very relaxing. Good choice of food at the many eateries that surround the square.

This is an area with an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, bars and spaces to walk or meet up with others. It is in an area converted from the former coal and goods yards between Kings Criss and St Pancras Stations.

What a decent place. Great open space in the midst of the city. Next to King Cross Station. A canal, loads of sitting spaces, great food options, some shops small and big ones.

Granary Square is one of the newer attractions in the rejuvenated Kings Cross area. Previously a place to avoid, this is now a buzzy area with lots going on - restaurants, shops and a fantastic water fountain in the summer. I love the fact that London has so much to see and do for free, and you can easily spend an afternoon exploring this area, without needing to splash the cash.

What is not to like about this place? This place has something for everyone; open space for children to play, roam and explore. Good restaurants and cafes for grown-ups. Regular special events, big screen TV during major sport events like the Wimbledon tournament, cinema by the canal during the summer months and more. Anyone living in London or passing through who doesn't visit this place is missing out.

A charming square near King's Cross Station, perfect for a tranquil moment. In summer, kids enjoy the water display, and during winter, the twinkling lights in the trees create a serene atmosphere. The surrounding restaurants and boutiques add to the peaceful ambiance, making it a pleasant spot for a leisurely stroll in London.

With its tranquil vibe, it is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a leisurely day. The picturesque canal, adorned with fountains, create an atmosphere that is great if you want to sit back and people-watch or take a leisurely stroll along the waterside, Granary Square caters to both relaxation seekers and those seeking a touch of culture.

Clean and tidy, security staff over there, is a very good place to bring your kids on a sunny day! Water 💧 has a strong smell of chlorine... it's good to pay attention to this as well! Green steps to regent's canal, very good for a picnic or relaxing.... Well done 👏 ✔️ 👍

Lovely square next to King's Cross Station. In summer, kids play with the water display and in winter it's designed with lights display in the trees. Beautiful. And of course, the many restaurants, boutiques and bars make it a very convenient and enjoyable area when strolling in London or in need of shopping therapy!

We stumbled upon the fountains at Granary Square whilst looking for old Bagleys/Canvas nightclub site. For us oldies it was a real treat to be there and see what the regeneration had done to the old dark dank Road we'd walked many many years earlier. The little fountains are a lovely addition and although it was daylight I can imagine how pretty these would look at night lit in different colours. Kids were happy to get their feet wet, lucky we had changes of clothes & towel handy. Nice little treat for kids and adults alike. Plenty to see, eat & drink. Toilet facilities & hand sanitisers well placed and accessible by the little footbridge.

The fountains are pretty and so much fun for little ones. There's also ice cream close by, restaurants and shops, and a beautiful view of Regent's canal. A lovely spot for a date or family day out

Such a cute place to sit down and have lunch or takeaway. Unfortunately for me, there were bugs and bees coming after me and my food so you just have to be careful with that.

Have been here a couple of times. Has a lovely outside area, however, inside it is stunning. Amazing decor and a touch of luxury. We went for the set menu deal which was great value for money with tasty food. Staff were friendly and efficient. Will definitely recommend and definitely return.

We were so well accommodated! Busy, sunny Saturday and had booked inside table for dinner, but staff rustled us up a table for drinks outside beforehand. Tasty food, opulent environment, attentive staff. Would definitely recommend.

On a hot sunny summer's day there's nowhere better to spend some time between trains at KGX. 10 min walk away and any amount of choice of food and drink on offer around the square. We ate at Caravan for brunch and this was delicious. You also get the benefit of being entertained by all the children messing around in the fountains. Great place to sit, relax, eat and enjoy the surroundings in a pleasant traffic free location.

Such a lovely place to visit especially in the summer months. King’s Cross has really been rejuvenated. So many restaurants, shops and the water fountains for kids. We spend a long time during the long summer hot days. Beautiful views every where and it’s all free.

Great place. Nice part of London to be. Went on a very hot day, plenty of decent bars and restaurants. Courtyard had a giant water feature in the square. Full of kids playing. Great oasis on a hot day to cool down for a moment.

Granary Square is located behind kings cross and St Pancras international stations. Cross over the canal and you are on the square many vendors and and market under the arches, super cool area to chill and recreation. Local small business, stalls and restaurants. Seating area available there is very large wooden benches on the square and around the area. Enjoy your walk around 😉

Great place for food, or even a stop gor for a drink. Outside has great views of Coal Drop Yard, inside very smart indeed. Stopped for a tea and coffee which were both excellent.

Almost impossible for to believe that this former canal basin was once bustling with barges delivering coal to London. Now transformed into an elegant area of restored buildings, now serving as an eclectic mix of shops, eateries and bars. More than 1000 fountains with contemporary lighting, providing a nighttime spectacle

A fantastic place to take the kids on a hot summer day. The fountains provide fun relief from the heat and there are plenty of concrete benches to sit on for those keeping an eye on their children. Walking distance from Kings Cross Station and completely FREE!!

I saw it for the first time in a place I had never seen before and it felt very different. I would recommend a place with large areas, beautiful venues and shopping malls that are different from what I am used to. I will come again with my children.

Great family & friendly area. Perfect open spaces for a walk and exercise. The boats & river view is spectacular. It's only not much chairs to sit down like it used to be thanks to the pandemic.

Incredible menu for veggies and vegans and great ambiance. Only downside is no warning from the waiters of portion sizes being huge so unfortunately wasted more than necessary.

I love Granary Square lots of places to sit, lots of space, which is important particularly during this time. You can pop into Waitrose for snacks and get some take away coffee or tea and enjoy your time. There is also the canopy market which is good to have peek, buy the wares and shelter from the rain.

The review is about the Christmas lights in the square. The Granary Square is one of the popular tourist attractions in London. Walking distance from King’s Cross St. Pancras station makes is easily accessible for tourists and Londoners. The Christmas lightings in the Granary Square are always eye catching but this year (2020) are nowhere near the best. Moderately decorated Christmas tree makes it more dull :( The canopy market in front of the Waitrose is very expensive as usual.

It's a place where you can genuinely linger without spending any money and not feel you're in the way. Not the highest bar, but most of the other recent redevelopments still miss it.

  • 4/5 Sanjiv S. 3 years ago on Google
More security guards leaning against walls than visitors. And they don't seem very welcoming. Restaurants (Dishoom) trying very hard to create a welcoming atmosphere and succeeding! A lovely brunch with attentive service.
