Great open space. Kids love it as they can run around freely. There is dedicated space for bbq's. They are planning on closing one of the roads which will make the space nicer and connect all three fields. Adventure playground alongside for kids to enjoy as well as a leisure centre with swimming pool. Further up you have tennis courts and a football/basketball court. We usually go swimming and then spend time in the park. Good location. Closest tube Highbury and Islington underground and plenty of buses. No free parking except on weekends and evenings.

Highbury Fields is a quiet and beautiful green oasis just off the the high street. It’s surrounded by a mixture of well-kept Georgian and Victorian terraced houses. There are ample public tennis courts, football pitches, basketball hoops and two good children's play area. Locals walk their dogs and stroll about with their children through the day making for a homely and peaceful atmosphere.

Highbury Fields is our local park/public green space. We spend lots of time there, walking, exercising, passing through en route to elsewhere. It’s not an especially large park (although I gather it’s the largest continuous outdoor space in the London Borough of Islington) and parts can get quite busy, but if you know where to go you can find some quiet space. There are tennis courts, other sports courts, enclosed areas which are supposed to be free from dogs (albeit they sometimes get in when the gates are left open and owners are irresponsible), a children’s play area with a range of toys, a small cafe and three public toilets, with Highbury Parade shops, lower Holloway Road and a range of public transport options nearby. One word of caution: I’ve heard reports recently of some phone snatching and muggings, so you should be vigilant, especially when walking with your phone out. I don’t know how crime rates here compare to other green spaces in London. All I can add is that I haven’t experienced any crime in the Fields myself, and I’ve lived next to the park for c.15 years.

Much loved and actively used, this relatively small but beautiful park seems to have something for everyone, from tennis courts, cafe, multi-purpose courts, children's adventure play area, fitness centre and more. It is actively used by joggers, or a place to relax on the benches or the grass.

A lovely open space with lots of greenery and plenty of seating. A relaxing area only a short distance removed from the busy High Street

I must say, a lovely gem slightly hidden from the main street of Highbury. The playground has a relatively big sandpit, a splash area and a section for older kids to play. The rest of the field is well kept. Excellent place to gather for a picnic.

Not a very large but a pretty Islington park, surrounded by a mixture of impressive Georgian terraced houses and Victorian villas. Has public tennis courts, football pitches and a very good children's play area.

My local park. Decent but nothing great. The worst thing is that the soil is so wet, I went for a walk with my dog 3 days after it rains and I almost got stuck in the middle of the park- the whole surface was muddy it felt like quicksand! My new trainers were ruined but I manage to escape lol Dog owners in the area are very friendly, there is also tennis court

Lovely park. Does not allow bbs since covid, and council like clipped rather than wild design. But beautiful and lovely anyway.

The play area was fun with equipment for different ages, sandpit and adventure area with zip swing and climbing frames, pretty cool tbh. Other kids and adults were pleasant 🎉 The grass area was ok, quite a few dogs with pleasant owners. There was lots of clean benches dotted around. Beautiful trees and view of the sky, its nice space for a breather. We enjoyed it and was clean, would go again.

Good grounds for practice. Has grass and hard surfaces. 10 minute walk from The Emirates. I had a good day and the kids had a good practice.

Very lucky to have this as my local park. It is a great place for a run or to walk the dog and meet other dogs/owners. Great to sit down for a picnic with friends or family too.

Gorgeous set of parks and surroundings. Perfect for jogging, outdoor workout or for walks with doggos (kids). Lots of park benches around to take a rest and read a book. Lovely views on typical old victorian London houses.

Nice sms park , in nice ish area Despite its size it has multiple tennis courts . A astroturf pitch , concrete multi-sports area including basketball and netball Indoor Swimming pool and gym And 2 children's playground. 2 gated and fenced green area no dogs allowed and a unfenced open field area . The only problem I have with the park is the gated areas ..one of these should be made a dog area as the fence mkes it safer and don't have to worry about dogs gettin hit by cars . But more importantly during the summer everybody sun bathes in the open field it gets packed so you can't take your dog off the leash and uses that area as it is always faced to the sun conversely the gated area have tress which provide shade and tend. To be much more empty perfect for dogs in hot weather

Love this place just across the road from Highbury and Islington Station. Puppy central when I was there earlier. Lovely place to chill after a long day

Highbury fields is a very unique place. You'd never think that parallel to it was the busy road and roundabout of Holloway and Upper Street. The fields are a great place for park activities. Whether it's walking your dog or playing football or taking your children too. The historic long slide and climbing frame are iconic features of the area.

A lovely Park with houses around it dating to 1789. Swimming Pool and wonderful kids outdoor play area; one of the best in England.

Nice park with some opinions for sport. The are outdoor tennis courts and an indoor leisure centre at one end. The park itself consists of several meadows, not that much flowers like a royal Park, but every green in the city is appreciated. Some meadows are not surrounded by a fence and therefore open to the public the whole day.

It's a park. It's clean. Nice people come here. It's great for hanging out with friends, playing games and picnics. Find a bench, contemplate life and watch some really pretty sunsets 🌇

Nice park with facilities and coffee ☕️. You can spend time with your children 👧 and family or friends in small coffee shop. If you are not local residents and walk or drive you need find a pay and display car park as most of areas are residents permit holders area, so be careful if you don’t want ruin your time when in return to your car 🚘 and don’t like to see parking ticket 🎫. Park is not very big but it’s enough big you can walk around and exercise in half hour, enjoy your lovely time together there. I recommend this field for anyone.

Great grass area in Islington, you would never believe busy Holloway Road is not far away. You have the option of sitting in an enclosed field which is great if you have young children. The larger open fields is popular with dog walkers and large groups. Always clean and tidy a nice and relaxing area in the heart of London.

Lovely place to chill out. It was a very peaceful place! I especially loved the blossom trees which made me feel that when you look at them it gives a sense being in heaven. A few squirrels 🐿 were lurking around and up the trees 🌳 Lovely fields and definitely like to visit again to do some photography! 😊

Nice place to sit back with a few friends and some drinks during the summer. It gets quite busy but the park is huge so you'll have your own space. There's a children's playground next to it too. There's also an ice cream van on some days.
