Mixed feelings about the hotel: - Breakfast food was excellent - but I found shards of glass in my coconut yoghurt, some large enough to properly injure me. I notified the waitresses, who called in their manager. The manager apologized, mentioned that she notified the chef, and offered to waive fees for my breakfast. The breakfast fees were included with my room reservation so nothing got waived anyway. But beyond that, I was surprised that a manager’s reaction to having fed glass to a customer, was as light as that (when really they should have done whatever it took for me not to sue) - Hotel premises are just gorgeous, but the rooms themselves are a bit disappointing in my opinion: i was staying in a Chambers suite, which, beyond its really high ceiling, didn’t differ much from a standard room. The noise and high luminosity from the station (my room had a view inside St Pancras station, and curtains would not close entirely) also made for really complex nights. - Speaking of my room view, i asked for a room with no station view when I checked in absurdly early. When I came back at night to pick up my keys, i was surprised that I was assigned a room with station view. When I asked to change in accordance with my initial request, i was told that a mistake had been made but that no other similar room was available and that there was nothing that could be done for me. The hotel staff was genuinely nice and i was in a rush, so i didn’t complain further, but was surprised that such a high standing (and over expensive) hotel could just ask one of their customers so naturally that they made a mistake but won’t even try to fix. Once again the premises are gorgeous, the staff is really nice (but powerless), food is excellent (when it doesn’t contain elements that can kill you), and the hotel is very conveniently located. But it was my second time at Renaissance St Pancras and while I was on the fence the first time, I’m this time 100% sure i won’t book there again. It’s a combination of too many little (and not so little) things.

Stayed for 7 nights (Aug 2022) Location and common area facilities were amazing! Beautiful building. Worthy of a 5* hotel. Service was definitely lacking for a 5* hotel, closer to a 3* or 4* hotel. Door men were outright rude sometimes, questioning if I was a guest once even. Did not feel comfortable walking into the hotel after that incident. The saving grace were the managers at the hotel desk, quite courteous, and able to assist with questions and requests. Rooms are solidly in 3* hotel category. I understand that in the UK hotel rooms aren't as big and luxurious as other parts of the world, but this doesn't deserve a 5* hotel rating. Window is tiny and with no view, furnishings old, not 100% clean either.

I have both stayed in the hotel but often use it for business meetings, drinks and then lunch. Staying - the rooms are disappointingly plain. Business location, TBH I have given up on it, I may want a 3 hour meeting combining drinks with lunch, which turns into quite a bill, but the staff want you in and out within an hour. It's fine as I guess they want quicker table turn around as I guess they feel it gets more income, but I won't be returning.

Don't get me wrong, the St. Pancras hotel is beautiful and we had a lovely time there. It is upscale, clean, and conveniently located next to King's Cross / St. Pancras stations. The staff service left much to be desired, however. As an example, on our last day we asked for our luggage to be held for a few hours, an otherwise common request than much lesser establishment offer by default. The front desk at first said "there is no space." (This is a gigantic hotel with whole empty floors.) Then that holding our bags would be a "security issue." (A security issue which would magically go away if we had an upcoming reservation and we were planning to return.) Even when we politely explained that we would miss our train if we had to find alternative luggage storage, as indeed we did miss our train, the hotel remained inflexible. This profound lack of hospitality renders this no longer the lovely five-star hotel I had in my memories. (We had stayed there several times before.) I will be looking for establishments in which thousands of pounds actually translate to high-quality hospitality in the future.

We really looked forward to our stay here and some parts of it were lovely, but the 3 star review is based on several bits that didn’t really meet our expectations. The building is clearly beautiful, but make sure you know what you’re booking (rooms on the old part with the famous staircases and architecture, or in the new wing that’s modern but still nicely decorated. We stayed in the new wing and expected this based on the price we paid, but the room was still to a decent size and well appointed to a luxury hotel standard. We didn’t have a great view but didn’t expect one either. Where we felt our expectations weren’t met was when visiting the pool & spa we had to walk through the main lobby bar area in our bathrobes. On checking, this is the correct route, and we saw other people struggling with the same journey, having to weave through masses of people and significant seating, since it’s the main bar for guests and visitors, as well as check in. I would have expected a remodelled 5 star hotel to have put in a corridor from our wing with hundreds of rooms to the wing with the spa! We went for pre dinner drinks and found our first 2 requests (cocktail and wine) were out of stock. The menu isn’t huge so that felt like a let down. And finally, whilst we liked the room, we couldn’t get the air con to go below 23 degrees making it too hot to get a good nights sleep. Lovely bed but just too hot! We also didn’t get any Marriott bonvoy elite status welcome, but did have complimentary water in our room. Overall, it was nice to finally tick this experience off our list, but we weren’t blown away. Paying enough to stay in the older, more elegant wing (without the embarrassing walk in front of 100+ people!) might have been better so I guess you get what you pay for.

My friend and I went here on Wednesday. We didn’t stay we were just there for drinks at the bar. It’s called the book club or something (go inside past reception and it’s on your right). We had two beers each, two cocktails and a small plate of food and it was £120. That might sound a lot but for the quality of this place it was worth it. We sat at the bar because it was too busy to get a table so advise booking. The beer/lager was smooth and our cocktails were out of this world. For the price of the cocktails I was very very impressed. Our barman was exceptional and everything we drank was sublime. The food was a bit pricey (£9 for truffle fries) but again for a place of this grandeur it’s to be expected. The decor is impressive and almost breathtaking at times. Perfect for a first date or if you want great drinks. Can’t imagine a business meeting there but might have a different tempo at night. Would and will go again!

Don't forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and usually will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. Wonderful stay and staff ‘in training’ were so professional and friendly. Melissa specifically when we arrived was fantastic. Beautiful room and amenities. Cocktails ‘off menu’ were perfect. Worth treating yourself for high quality. Breakfast buffet surprisingly vegan friendly too

Rooms are comfy. The check in staff are very friendly and helpful. The front door staff are very helpful. Thank you Benjamin! If wanting a specific room or view specify in your request. As my flight was delayed in to London, I checked in late, and was given the room with a not that great view. I was so tired from my flight that I did not ask for another room. *Just giving a word of advise* There was a tour of the hotel for guests Saturdays at 1030a, wish I was able to attend. Loads of history with this hotel.

Lovely building, shame about the inside Booked an overnight stay for the beginning of our trip to Scotland. Paid extra for a good quality room. On arrival we were offered two rooms - one on the sixth floor which we wish we'd taken but we had to wait for it to be ready, or one on the second floor which was ready on our arrival. Mistake. Room was claustrophobic with cramped furniture - wardrobe up against one side of the bed so no room for a bedside table. No opening windows, no view. Bathroom was clean but smelled strongly of drains. Rest of room was clean and bed was comfortable. On departure the staff were very sympathetic and gave us a discount on our booking, but this did not make up for the poor start to our break. Couldn't help wondering what we would have experienced if we'd waited for the other room. Also discovered on our arrival that the old romantic part of the hotel is at the front - our room was in a newer section to the rear. Look carefully before you book.

This hotel keeps me coming back time and time again, I can’t stay enough good things. The rooms are great, my only complaint is the bed. It is very conveniently located right at St Pancras and King’s Cross so getting on the tube/any train nationally or even internationally is INCREDIBLY easy. But what I’d really like to highlight the staff throughout the entire hotel who are just absolutely incredible. The folks at the front desk make an incredible difference in my stay every time I’m here. Everyone is so accommodating, helpful, and kind. Thank you for everything you do!

This property will not disappoint in its convenient location, the beauty of the building not really fantastic front desk staff. The lounge, has a great selection of services throughout the day, however we did find that there were great variations in the hours that the services were provided between what was posted and what we were told. None the less this is an excellent addition to your stay should you have access. Our room, a suite, was very generously proportioned, with a glorious washroom, very comfortable (fluffy)bed, beautiful views and a lovely seating area.

Perfect location above King’s Cross international station, most underground lines have intersections there so it’s super convenient to reach anywhere in London! Gorgeous architecture, Harry Potter movie film site and amazing looking building. The normal rooms are not fancy but cozy enough, suites seem to be fancy with balcony but we didn’t live there. Restaurant is very nice and services are great too, highly recommended!

Stayed here multiple times and generally doesn't disappoint. However for the best room experience you need to stay to the rear of the hotel, nicer, more luxurious rooms. Check in flawless, and the reception area a busy delight as it is combined with a cafe that is open to all. Definitely a go to if you have onward rail travel.

Generally, we love this place. Been multiple times. This time, they told us they put us in a nice room and it had no view at all, literally a wall or roof. They also put a welcome gift to another guest in our room, which basically tells me they gave him our upgraded room and gave us whatever was leftover. The lounge was good this time as it usually is, but has slimmed down both the number of offerings, but also the quality of them. I hope this isn’t a trend, but rather the exception to our normal experience at St. Pancras.

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Right from the moment we entered, the staff was caring and attentive. The bellboy was friendly, quick, and offered his assistance for additional help. The rooms are spacious with plenty of amenities. Can't really point out a single fault.

I didn't stay so can't comment on the rooms. It is however a lovely place for a coffee. Expensive but the surrounding is most pleasant if you like the historical side. A certain stair case was also made famous here by the spice girls in a music video. Located inside St Pancras station. Food is also available.

Excellent hotel. Five star service. Made you feel welcome. All staff offer a five star service. Has an excellent St Pancras Spa in the basement where you can quite happily spend the whole day and have a really enjoyable relaxation break. If you pay for a treatment from the treatment menu then you can get free use of the spa facilities. I always leave feeling relaxed and happy that I had spent time at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel and St Pancras Spa. Everything you need is here from the restaurant, bar and rooms for overnight stays.

This is a stunning hotel but there are many areas for improvement. I had the superior room which had badly chipped furniture, where the plywood was hanging off. I asked for the room to be cleared and made up at 10am. By 5pm it still hadn’t been. I had to walk to reception to ask as they were not picking up the phone. On checkout day, the cleaner walked in at 9am!!! Despite checkout being 12pm. We were asleep and thankfully not doing anything else! The queue for checkout was slow and long. I could have dropped the key cards off and not waited but I wanted to ensure I was not being charged for anything as noticed there was a £200 pending on my credit card which is a deposit which nobody mentioned to me. Must have been in small print somewhere. ..The hotel is beautiful as is the lobby and bar. Great location. But for 5 star and for £300+ a night, this isn’t ok.

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights, and our experience can really be best described as fine. Despite my partner being a Gold Elite member, we were placed in ground floor room that was relatively clean and spacious, but very dated and extremely underwhelming for the price. The bed was not very comfortable, the carpet was worn, and the bathtub had trouble draining. The staff working up front was not terribly welcoming or helpful (we had 5 pieces of luggage and were not offered any assistance, we were not given any information on restaurant/lounge use), and it often felt like they were more of bouncers than greeters (we were asked to show our room cards when entering the hotel lobby, which I've literally never been asked to do at any other hotel). For the price they charge (at least for the "regular" rooms), I absolutely don't think it's worth it, and I can't say I would stay here again.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Blown away by the imposing architecture of the outside that continued and didn't disappoint inside. Rooms were luxurious and sympathetic to the style/history of the building. Staff are amazing - from the minute you arrive at the entrance they are attentive, helpful and friendly. A real credit. Food was very good and we made use of the pool and Spa facilities. Located next to St. Pancras International it is ideally situated for all areas of Would definitely stay again - if you're looking for a top hotel it won't disappoint.

Very surprised . Very surprised. Even after contacting the UK management and the hotel directly after our experience they seem to not get customers. Before you stay with you or your family. Walk into the hotel and see the snobbery. We did this to possibly to arrange a big gathering linked to family and business. I would never put any business into this hotel. Family and business means every person is treated equal. Not his hotel. I won’t go into detail over their response. There are great hotels on London who deserve a well respected reputation. This one certainly does not. This is my perception.

Excellent service from check-in straight to check-out. We were here for 10 days and had 3 separate bookings: a combo of miles, corporate travel and personal travel. This was have been complicated in any hotel but the check-in staff at Renaissance gave us the same room throughout our stay and ensured that everything was sorted without a problem. The pool and facilities are a good size for central london. The cleaning was also very complete - attention to details and not stingy with products. Will definitely use this as my base in London going forward.

Beautiful hotel. The ‘grand staircase’ is located through to the left, as you walk into the main hallway, and is absolutely incredible and worth seeing! We had a pleasant hotel stay - most of the rooms are in the new part of the building, and not up the grand staircase. Rooms are very large with big walk-in showers. The let down was the waiting time for any drinks in the hotel bar (separate to the Booking Office bar). Whether it was an evening aperitif, cocktails, or coffee at breakfast, expect a 20 minute wait. The food at breakfast is exceptional with an impressive range of foods including smoked salmon and pancakes, and a chef cooking eggs to order (including delicious omelettes where you can select your fillings). During our stay, there was always a long queue at the reception desks of people waiting to check in and check out, making the check-out process very long, when really you should just be able to drop off your key card and go.

This hotel is too old. The infrastructure is very old. My heating system of my room didn't work. After a couple of visits, they brought me a heater which was noisy and not controllable. I could not shower once because the hot water was not warm enough I had to cut my stay in this hotel. They promised me to give me a good amount of pints but they only gave 10,000 points which is not even enough to book half day room anywhere! I called after a week to follow up but I was simply ignored. Personally, I will never choose this hotel to stay in the future. The staff were very respectful. The location is great. But I could not enjoy it as there were many many issues with the rooms facility.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The staff were excellent and we highly enjoyed being able to use the pool. The room was a bit small but provided an incredibly restful nights stay before leaving on the Eurostar. I hope to be back soon

I used the spa on two different occasions and each experience was better than the first. A very helpful and polite service was received from Ashley on the spa reception. Had the Time Traveller experience with Jessica her hands on massage and scrub was excellent and she checked how much pressure I required. I will definitely be going back. Thank you

One of the best hotels in North London. Lots of character and historic features. Super accommodating staff. I recommend you stay for the breakfast. It isn't super fancy but it's good relative to the other hotels I've tried during this pandemic.

We were really looking forward To our stay here. Amazing building sadly let down by the level of service and the fact that some of the facilities were undergoing renovation. Breakfast was poor. We had to wait over 10 minutes to be seated. The bar table we were sat at hadn’t been prepared. We had to ask for cutlery. The cooked breakfast from the buffet was cold. Our tea and coffee never arrived. You can do a lot better for the money.

DO NOT SYAY HERE! Absolutely appalling, only main foyer bar open where evening bar service was dreadful. Breakfast was unappealing, mostly cold and again drinks took ages to arrive and the juices were warm. I have since complained but despite being told that £503.20 and £123.75 would be refunded I have waited over a month for the two refunds, one for a nights stay and one for a mini bar charge which I was assured would not be on my Visa card. It is impossible to reach the hotel by telephone and no one has replied to my various e mails. I have even called the head office in USA twice but again to no avail. I have had to pay these amounts so as to not be charged interest

We are currently enjoying our 5-night stay, the hotel is gorgeous, the lounge is super comfortable and well-appointed, the staff is friendly and courteous, but what will keep me coming back is the access to the spa steam and sauna rooms that they provide to hotel guests. Love it. Checking out today, stayed the week. Ekram at the Chambers lounge made us feel welcome in the mornings and Tom was so gracious in the evenings. Highly recommend this hotel and its perfect location. Also, if you’re a Harry Potter fan or a fan of gorgeous gothic architecture this hotel is ideal.

This is a review for a spa day which included lunch at The Hansom restaurant inside the hotel. So the spa itself is wonderful and would recommend. The deal also included a lunch & free smoothie according to the wording on the gift voucher I got. Firstly, it was almost impossible to actually book this spa day - every time I called, no one answered and after leaving 3-4 messages, I finally got a call back where I was promised a confirmation email which I never received. Fast forward to the actual spa day, and said lunch at The Hansom. Lunch was at 14:00 and when I went up to the restaurant, there was no one there to seat me so I had to run around trying to find someone. Once seated, I was given the wrong menu and then when I ordered, told only later that the dessert I wanted was unavailable (a good 20 minutes after ordering). All okay though. However, the main issue was the huge wait. I ended up waiting for over 55 minutes for my food, even after asking a couple of times (and never offered any complementary drinks or anything while I waited). Food finally arrived, at which point I had to rush to make my next spa treatment. Then, dessert time, and for the second time I'm told that what I ordered was no longer available and I got given something else (which unfortunately I didn't like). The cherry on top? No free smoothie. All in all, I ended up spending 90+ minutes at the Hansom, the vast majority of which was spent waiting or being told that something wasn't available. Really disappointing for such a nice hotel.

This has been my destination station for trips to London for many years and when I booked a theatre trip for my birthday, I decided to upgrade my hotel and stay here. The building is beautiful both inside and out. I was in the Barlow wing which has spacious, clean and a comfortable room which are accessible down a long corridor from the lifts. This is where I became disappointed. The view from the window was just a brick wall. The hotel was booked as part of a theatre package so it is difficult to say what was paid for it but the advertise it as £360 a night. I wanted to ask for a different room but my wife pointed out that we were going out and it will be dark when we return so it did not matter to her. Due to preparations for a conference in the hotel some of the facilities were not available and when we got to breakfast that was rushed so that the conference could take over the space. Whilst the staff made us feel welcome with the view from the room and preference given to the conference I felt as we were second rate. Do not stay on the 3rd floor and pay the full rate.

Gorgeous hotel and lovely staff! This hotel came highly recommended by a friend, and it did not disappoint! It’s a little pricier than other locations but 100% worth it, especially if traveling by Eurostar! We got in very early, and the moment we walked in, the staff took care of us. They told us they could check us in if a room is available or hold our bags in a safe location if not. The rooms are spotless with the most comfortable bed I think I’ve ever slept in. The downside is that you won’t want to get out of bed! For people who like to walk, this location is not a problem. If you do not like to walk or can’t walk, the Underground is very close with Kings Crossing next door (just swipe your cc). As it turns out, several people I know who travel to London often stay at St. Pancras every time. Next time we’re in London, we will definitely stay here again.

I went there at the end of Jan 22, with my teen daughter for the LKBENNETT afternoon tea. The hotel is in a beautiful building. The afternoon tea was good too, well presented, in a good ambiance and professional staff. A great place and way to spend few hours.

I called the hotel this morning to ask questions about what was included in the Chambers suites as well as whether there were any restrictions on the pool due to COVID etc. The man with whom I had the displeasure of speaking was so incredibly rude! I was shocked at how rude and unhelpful he was. He directed me to their website rather than answering the questions himself and then yelled at me when I couldn't find what he was trying to direct me towards -- turns out the website had changed and he was misinformed. I was prepared to spend a great deal of money at this hotel next week but obviously will be taking my business elsewhere. I have never before been treated this way by reception at a 5 star hotel.

  • 4/5 Guoyu H. 5 months ago on Google
After waiting almost an hour at check-in, no one from the lobby staff asked about me, which was a very upsetting experience. I can understand the hotel's identification policy and some of the additional certifications to be made, but I still think this is an area where your hotel needs to improve. Nonetheless I think the performance and attitude of the receptionist today was commendable and they were very sincere and positive in dealing with my questions.

Wonderful stay. Very good breakfast. Amazing building. All the staff is professional, very polite and friendly. Always with a big smile. The only remark I have to make is that the room is a bit faded (in fact you can tell it's been used) and that the bath is not very practical and even a bit dangerous (slippery even with the bath mat). Nevertheless, everything was charming!! Thanks.

Here with a larger group and the service and personal attention throughout has been exceptional. Everything from the room to the food are 1st class. The staff are all friendly and acknowledge guests, nothing is too much trouble. Special thanks to Giulia on the front desk. She went beyond what any visitor could expect to adapt and cater for my needs. For anyone to shine here is hard and she really stood out. Great hotel, Thank you.

Took us a while to write this review but, we stayed here on the evening of our wedding back in May. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, high ceilings and spacious en-suites with room service and the food was so delicious. We walked around to see the different restaurants, bars and architecture and the staff were so welcoming, polite and warm. Our favourite part was the breakfast buffet the next morning. Wow what a selection. Highly recommend to anyone. Thank you St.Pancras Hotel for making our stay so special. We will definitely stay with you again. All the best, R & C

Not a fan of the room we four ourselves in. Too small, and the bathroom was bizarre. I almost fell twice in the bath tub using the rubber mat that was supplied and recommended for use. The service in the lounge and the location is excellent. You can access two different train stations and the underground shops were fun to explore as well as the restaurants. I'd stay here again but would ask for a different type of room.

The service was top notch, nothing less than you would expect at such a prestigious establishment. We stayed in the Royal Suite which was magnificent on the whole. Great sized space, perfect for the birthday dinner with 9 guests. A professional chef was hired to cater for the event and the kitchen was just about adequate. Some of the furniture was little more tatty than expected tho...loose springs coming out of the bottom of the sofa for example.

Very disappointing hotel - would not recommend. On the plus side, the hotel is in a very convenient location with Kings Cross / St Pancras stations within a minute's walk. The external architecture is also very impressive. However, other than that, the hotel fell well short of my expectations, especially given the price and the fact it markets itself as a high-end luxury hotel. Some issues included: - The hotel is significantly understaffed, such that no one would answer the phone at reception. Every time I had an issue, I would have to walk down to the lobby (note that this is a big hotel and only has two elevators) and had to wait in a long queue with arriving guests to speak to a staff member. Each time I raised this, I was told "we are very busy right now", regardless of the hour. - Despite paying for a higher tier room ("Super King"), the room had a very small window and overlooked an internal courtyard. I was not informed of this, nor did it match the photos on the website for this room category. The website also doesn't disclose that rooms may be internal. Every other high-end hotel I've stayed at clearly discloses this online, and also has given me a heads up when booking that the room will be internal. - A staff member arranged to meet me at my room at a specified time to resolve an issue. They never turned up, meaning I had to go back down to reception (see above re phones not being answered), and I was told, again without apology, that they were busy with other issues so I would just have to wait. Even a quick phone call to let me know that they had been held up would have helped the situation. Overall, this hotel has a lot of potential given the location and architecture, but it falls short in almost every service category. I would not recommend staying here - this should be a two or three-star hotel, and priced accordingly.

Service is amazing. Staff are welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Facilities are superb and relaxing. It has a nice ambiance about it especially being in such a busy place in London. The spa facilities and gym are enough for your needs. Treatment is well priced, nicely optioned also very tempting. Food is very good amd drinks are suited. Service in the main hall can be slow but and is not a rushed experience by any means so if you need a quick coffee I wouldn’t recommend it as you could be here a while 😊🥂

Beautifully restored old grand dame of a hotel. Fabulous lobby and common rooms, which are spaces you want to spend time in. Great breakfast. Lovely spa. My room was in the extension and thus a little bland, but I had a great view of the Crick Institute.

Absolutely dreamy hotel, not cheap but such a nice place to stay. They have great food and drink offerings, and the staff are so kind and attentive. It's in a great place if you are taking the Eurostar, but also just to be in central without it being too hectic, you can reach a bunch of central London locations in 30 minutes on foot (or in a chair). It's also great for wheelchair access, and their accessible room has a brilliant bathroom
