Place is dirty and filthy. Even moldy probably. Hair in the bathroom and shower. Floor doesn't get vacuumed it seems. All documented in the photos taken. Place is super tiny which isn't unusual for London, however, the beds are only 120cm wide. It's the small print and it's not something you check before when you book a double room for two people - you are practically getting fooled. Also rooms are very loud. For what you get and what you pay under no circumstances I can recommend this place. Staff is not able to solve requests and obvious complaints unless you argue for hours for getting the basics right.

*UPDATED* Today (9/9/23) i have received an email from London House Hotel accusing me of a 'false and unsubstantiated' review whilst threatening legal action (even though my post is accompanied by photographs of the grime) As anyone is able to see by my previous reviews of businesses, I have only ever posted positive reviews as have never felt the need to leave a negative review and I 100% stand by my review.. Today I feel very shaken up by the email but will not take my review down, knowing I have spoke nothing but the truth. Please take a look of the pictures of the shower area of The Garden Room 108 and make your own mind up whether you think this review is 'false and unsubstantiated ' *The actual review* The location worked well for us. The reception staff were not very approachable as were always talking amongst themselves. We stayed Saturday until Wednesday and not once did they say 'Good Morning' or any acknowledgement when we had been out for the day. The rooms are very small, there was no light over or around the dressing table/desk area for use when applying make up or doing work. The cups and saucers were dirty and had obviously just been run under the tap from previous occupants as still wet and drips of diluted tea on them. The shower area was very dirty (pictures included), there is a rack in the shower, the area could never have been cleaned as thick and black. The shower door area was equally dirty. The bonuses of the hotel was it was in a quiet, safe area with a lovely bright foyer area. The negatives cleanliness, friendliness. I would not stay again even though it was reasonably priced.

Beautiful building inside and out. Location is great for the price it offers. However, a few things in terms of our room (Double bed room)… It was a little dirty on the carpet. The room was not as described on the booking page (AirBnB) and the room was much smaller in person. You could hear people very clearly walking past the door of the room. I noticed the photos on booking website do not show the room we were in but instead mostly showcase rooms that have a garden view and one or two ground floor rooms but they make them appear larger than they are. You can store luggage for free in the hotel if you arrive before check-in time. For those looking to book in the future, I would ask for a room with a garden view. Any room that does not have a garden view is at the back of the hotel where construction is taking place for the moment and the rooms are very small. I have attached photos of the bathroom.

Stayed here for a weekend in May 2023. The location of the hotel is great and not too far from Hyde Park. Approximately a 7 minute walk to the tube. The staff was very friendly and helpful - easy check-in and check-out. We booked a basement room as they had bigger rooms - which was totally fine for us, however if you are looking for a view you won’t find it in the basement. The room was clean and room service did a good job with the cleaning every day. Would definitely recommend and come back for another stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The front desk employees were above and beyond friendly and helpful. The room was very clean with nice amenities. And we felt the location was very safe with easy access to restaurants and the subway.

Great communication via email prior to the trip. Booked directly with the venue. We arrived early morning, introduced ourselves and left our luggage. We were a family of five in two rooms. My daughter came back first and was able to get a key as the receptionist recognized her - no checking of ID. When my husband came back he was refused a key as the receptionist did not recognize him. (the booking was in my name). No attempt to confirm his access via contacting me, or checking his details - same address and surname and I said in the booking that I was travelling with my husband and three adult children. He was exhausted after long flights and had to wait an hour for me to get back to the hotel to get the key. The rooms and beds were small. The pillows were too soft (some people might like this) with no firmer options available on request. I had a headache and stiff neck for the whole trip. Location was excellent, close to public transport and easy to get around. Delicious bakeries for breakfast close by, and pubs for simple dinners.

We had a wonderful stay at the London House hotel. The hotel is lovely and the room was a good size and very clean. We are a family of 4 and stayed in the ground level room which was perfect for us. (It’s not a basement…if you’ve been to NYC it’s considered ground level). It had a big window. A little more storage would be good—the room had tables & a wardrobe but not many small cabinets for all our stuff. The bathroom was a very nice size, modern, and sparkling clean. The lobby is beautiful and the location is near 2 different underground stations which makes it very easy to get everywhere in the city. Kensington is quiet and we loved the calm neighborhood after a busy day. The staff at the front desk were friendly and so helpful. We loved it. We will be back.

The location of the hotel was excellent! 3 min walk from the tube station and 2 minutes from all amenities! The service from the reception staff was outstanding. Can’t speak highly enough they were Soo warm and friendly and even checked us in early! All information was clear and they stored our luggage on the last day free of charge, enabling us to enjoy a further day in London luggage/ hassle free. The communication via email was excellent too, explaining about what to expect, check in and check out times along with other services and at what cost. Very clear and concise! The service staff were 1st rate. Discreet, quiet, polite and helpful with a sunny disposition. Their attention to detail in the rooms regarding cleanliness was also outstanding. The room was exactly as shown online both with the view and decor. Overall a first class stay. We will be back!!! Thank you😍

We’ve stayed here three times before and have always been very happy with the double rooms on the 2nd floor facing the garden. However this time we brought our children and booked a family room in the basement. It was very noisy all of the time. We could hear every footstep and case moving across the reception above us. These rooms are not suitable for families. We all found it very hard to sleep. The lady on reception on Wednesday night was very nice and did move us but it was still very noisy in the 2nd room.

Loved staying with you. The location is perfect for us, right in the part of town we love and easy walking distance to many restaurants, shops, etc., and the underground stop. This proximity is especially important for older folks like us. Everyone we dealt with at your hotel was very nice. The breakfast was very good and our room, while quite small, was just fine. I can't really think of any complaints we had. We'll be back!

Small, attractive boutique hotel in a quiet upscale neighborhood. Understated but very, very nice. Quite pleasant and surprisingly inexpensive. Indeed a great value. We stayed 3 nights and loved it.

Good location and nice view of neighborhood garden (private, so can't access). Room was clean. Full set of towels including washcloths, which was a nice addition in the UK. What would have made it better: larger sheets and duvet that fit bed better, replacement of biscuits each day, housekeeping not replacing their toiletries into bathroom every day when I was specifically moving them out of the way.

Loved this hotel. Small rooms but comfortable and perfect for a short stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location, short walking distance to 2 different tube stations.

All good, but the double bed was very small as was the bathroom for 3 people. Not your fault, but the noise from the building work opposite was not the best. Location and price was very good however, so we will book again when needed.

This hotel has TINY rooms. No luggage rack or chair in the rooms. The view and the windows are nice. The shower is not great if you are either tall or wide. I stayed alone, it was okay. The staff is great. The room was adequate but I think if I were with my husband, I'd need a bigger room with a chair.

I was specifically looking for lodging in Bayswater because I lived in the area for 2 years & enjoyed it. I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived at London House. The entrance is lovely & the staff are very friendly & accommodating. I reserved a twin room for 5 nights. It was clean, modern & just enough space for my belongings for the duration of my stay. The location is within a short walk of 2 Tube stations, many restaurants & several grocery stores. I highly recommend them & will definitely look into staying there again on a future visit.

Is my second time in this hotel and the experience was incredible. All the staff is amazing, the rooms are very clean and and it is very well located, close to the tube. I would like to highlight the attention received at the reception, they are wonderful especially the two Italian receptionists. I will definitely come back again!

London house was located in a lovely neighbourhood within a short walking distance from two tube stations, the staff on reception has been very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and had a comfortable bed. After the check out they were kind enough to keep our luggage until later in the day. We would definitely recommend and return when visiting London.

I was very comfortable as a single woman travelling alone and felt safe at this Hotel. All the facilities that l required were present in my room which was extremely clean but homely and quiet. A special mention of the excellent fine art work picture of Poppies was a delightful touch hung above the double bed. It was also very nice to be able to have a garden view with beautiful trees in full autumnal colours. I would have no hesitation in staying in this Hotel again in the future. Thanks to all staff at LHH: a well appointed, reasonably priced London Hotel, well run and welcoming to guests.

The beds are very small. Me, my mom, and my sister stayed here for one night and had a triple room. The room was extremely small. There was a twin bed and a full bed, and the bathroom was extremely small with barely any room in the shower. There were food options near by which were okay, we got some good ramen. It’s almost an hour walk to the main attractions in the city, though the park is nice. There was a lot of noise from the construction going on around it,

Booked a single room for myself, overall I was satisfied with the room, location, and service. The room was clean, window was openable for fresh air. And although the back alley was a construction site, it was nevertheless quiet from the evening to about 7:30am on weekdays. The hotel location is great, close to eateries/grocery shops/transit options, all whilst being in a safe neighborhood. The service at the hotel was also great, the lights in my bathroom did not work when I first arrived, but was quickly resolved thanks to the reception.

We really enjoyed our stay at London House. It’s located on a quiet , residential street. Our rooms faced the garden in the square. Lovely view! The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The rooms were small but plenty big enough for our stay. The beds were comfy. The cleaning staff did a great job every day. Tea, coffee, biscuits and a kettle are provided. Very grateful for the hairdryer. One less thing to pack. We felt very safe in the area. We used the Bayswater tube every day and it’s only a 5 minute walk. There are a lot of restaurants and shops in the area, as well. We loved our stay at London House!

Location couldn’t be beat. Close to two tube stations and a ton of restaurants and bars. Overlooks a very nice garden area on a quiet street but still so close to shopping, dining and the park. The rooms are very small but they’re fine for two people vacationing who will be out and about. Rooms are very clean and nice and worth the price. Would highly recommend.

The entire staff here are very helpful, hard working people. We especially appreciate all the questions and help that the front desk clerks gave us--especially Dragos--who answered a myriad of questions, Manuela--who helped us get a reservation for a museum that I was struggling to get, and for the ice she got me to help my achy legs, and Lorena--who helped us check in our luggage before we could check in and kept it safe while we explored London. They were very welcoming. The house keeping staff was thorough and detail oriented. They kept our room very clean. The breakfast staff was busy preparing, restocking, and cleaning up the breakfast and breakfast room. They were also very helpful to those who wanted coffee or expresso. Our room was comfortable and had a gorgeous view. The bed made sleeping easy. The service and comfort was a great value for the price we paid. It was close to two tube stations and bus stops, an easy walk to Hyde Park , and surrounded by many shops and places to eat. I would definitely stay here again!

These folks were great and absolutely saved the day. We originally booked a different hotel a few doors down which we promptly left when, in addition to several other issues which we could have dealt with, we realized the door to our room wasn't able to close properly or even lock! At 6pm on a Friday evening Ryckie, at the desk at London House, immediately stepped up to plate and knocked customer service out of the park. She took the time to show me several different rooms and get pricing sorted, and made sure that we had everything we needed for our weekend stay. The rest of the staff were also pleasant and very helpful, and they even held our bags after check out while we enjoyed our last few hours in the city. While the rooms are fairly small we found them cozy and comfortable. The shower was plenty hot and had good pressure and the tea set up and mini fridge were just what we needed. The location is also great for food and public transport. I'd absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Just because its inexpensive does not mean its cheap! Place is everything you want in a major city, location 1 accessible 2 friendly 3. Made a error with my original room at check in but fixed it while i went for a quick walk. Even though the other room was fine just not with garden view. $60 odd quid a night for Kensington gardens (seriously) you could pay $300 next door. They must be laundering money! Even the 3 girls at reception were gorgeous, fact!

Great location in a quiet square behind Whiteleys. The rooms and beds are small but well proportioned. Clean and we'll maintained rooms and common areas. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We had the room with garden views which was lovely to wake up to. Breakfast was good too. We will def recommend and will return

Compact but well appointed and equipped room, making for a very comfortable and enjoyable two night stay. Only minutes from Paddington in a lovely tree lined ,quiet square. Reception staff were so lovely with a great sense of humour. Would not hesitate to choose to stay again and again.

Hotel in a good location everything you need on high street closed by, 25 mins walk to Hyde park area but right near Bayswater tube station. Reception staff very friendly, and reception area beautiful but I’m afraid that’s where it ends. I am not one to write negative reviews normally but I feel people need to know especially for prices charged. No where on our booking did it say if your sleeping in the back of the hotel you are facing a construction site, these workers start banging way before 8 am. Our booking said spacious room it certainly wasn’t that. It was very tiny and very dated. There are no draws and kettle is on a shelf with no plug so had to put on dirty floor to boil sit. The bathroom was so tiny you couldn’t dry properly with out hitting something. The shower didn’t work very well, mould along the shower trims, grout filthy and limescale terrible. The carpets were filthy, coffee stains up the wall and bedding wasn’t clean. The bed was a small double and creaked at every slightest movement, if you turned over the bed rocked from side to side and felt like could collapse and the mattress was rock hard so very little sleep for our stay. It’s a shame if the hotel spent a little time updating this could be a great hotel

Nice hotel, booked very last minute due to rail strike (so visiting London a day earlier than planned). Good location within walking distance of Paddington Station. Staff pleasant and welcoming, room clean and smart. Only complaint, TV small for size of room.

  • 5/5 Lauren Q. 1 year ago on Google
Great stay! Standard single room is fine for a single (and ideally shorter) person. Special shout-out to the hotel worker who took my bags down 4 flights of stairs, when I needed to check-out while the elevator was undergoing maintenance!

Had a lovely stay at London House Hotel. This is the 3rd time I've used this hotel, it is modern and everything you need for a short break. It is less than 10 minutes from the nearest underground station and high street. You can be in the West end in 30 minutes, Hyde Park is 10 minutes walk. Would highly recommend staying here.

  • 2/5 Michael W. 1 year ago on Google
I gave the hotel 2 stars because the staff was very helpful and nice. Other than that, I would hve given it a one star as the rooms are extremely small and the breakfast was not worth the price. My husband and I stayed in room with 2 twin beds and when we wanted to get something out of our luggage, we have to put the luggage on our beds. The breakfast was a huge disappointment as it contained cheese, ham, lettuce and eggs. Thank god for the cereal or I would have thought I was having a light lunch. You almost need a college degree to use the coffee machine in the breakfast area. Even though it is a cute boutique hotel, I would recommend booking elsewhere.

Here in London for 4 days, great location, two tube stations less than 10 minutes away, near Hyde park. The hotel stored our bags on the day of our arrival and day of our departure which was very helpful. Room had everything we needed, and everything to be comfortable, air conditioning, shower worked great.

The room was super clean and close by it had tons of restaurants. Check in took less then 5 minutes. The room it's self it super small so only my wife and I fit with 2 backpacks and 1 carry on luggage and even that feels tight. But it's semi close to everything a quick Uber ride to the main attraction s should only be 10-british pounds. Over all I would definitely stay here again if I came through again. It's better then the last one I stayed at close to all the main touring stuff.

  • 4/5 Robert K. 1 year ago on Google
Great location with easy access to the Underground. Rooms were clean and adequate. Staff was efficient and responsive. Overall, a great stay. The only negative is the coffee machine in the breakfast room. It needs to be upgraded to a more user friendly model. Staff needs to spend too much time explaining how the machine operates, and it still only dispenses a very small amount of coffee.

Very disappointed with London House. My wife and I had reservations at London House for 4 nights at the beginning of November and unfortunately had a death in our immediate family the day of our departure, so had to postpone our trip. We asked if we could modify our reservation for a future stay, but London House was unwilling give any credit, future discount or any type of accommodation, what so every. Their reasoning was that the rate we booked was a special and was non-refundable or modifiable, for any reason. So they got all the money and had to provide no service. While I understand they may have the legal right to keep the money, it would have been so easy for them to charge us some penalty, but then to have given some future credit, so we would want to stay with them when we do go to London in a few month; they would have made more money and we would feel as if we had been treated as a valued customer. I wish I was online singing the praises of LH for going above and beyond to help us, instead of complaining about their lack of customer care. I guess the moral to the story is read the fine print and buy travel insurance. Unfortunately, we will be finding other accommodations on our future trip to London. Safe travels.

This hotel is great value for the small money you have to pay. Very clean, nice and modern building. Yes, it is a small room, but what else do you need for a short stay in London. Location is awesome. I would only deduce one virtual star for the breakfast, though we also enjoyed that, but were spoiled from the very good breakfasts you can get in many nearby restaurants...We rented a room for our daughter as there was no room in the "London Collection - Kensington Gardens Square Hotel" next to it and well, see review there.

This place is amazing for a solo traveler. I took a small single room and it was perfect considering the location and underground being a block away. Good restaurants nearby. Extremely friendly staff, easy check-in, I was early and my bags were safely stored in the storage area. Would definitely recommend this place.

Nice clean, well finished rooms, if not a little small. Note there is major construction work to the rear of the hotel, wasn't an issue for us as it was over the Christmas break, but could pose an issue we'll into 2022 for others. Continental Breakfast was good. Staff friendly & helpful.
