A shameless liar and a thief. The menu showed old prices, he said 'everything on the list was now just £1 extra'. The starter, one sheesh kebab portion the size and shape of his middle finger, I asked him 'Where's the other half?' He replied ' this is london, pay extra for the other half', one half cut small piece of chicken tikka and one small onion bajee. The main was 2 butter chicken baltis very miserly portions the same with the chicken biryani together with 2 nans and 4 stale poppadoms. The rat charged Michelin price, oh and he kept the bill(???) The next day I am proud to say that I stopped an innocent couple from walking in and ordering food from there. I also tried to stop a lone Indian girl from ordering, but unfortunately it was too late for her and later she told me about her bad experience. I am happy to pay extra for generosity but fairness should come with no extra charge. I sensed that this rat takes great pleasure in scamming his customers. You know who I am you rat, feel free to respond.

It's a tourist trap! A real heist! Don't go in there! The owner or waiter is very nice when you arrive but once you order he brings you what he wants and charges you three times what it will really cost in a legal restaurant. To report to the police really! Worst experience in London. A potty!

Honestly at this point, given the current rating, any tourists that comes here without checking the reviews first deserves what's coming to them. This restaurant is never busy and for a good reason. The owner tricks you into thinking he's giving you food on the house while actually charging you for it, then adding on mysterious prices to the bill that don't match what is on the menu. He will sweet talk you and act friendly but it's all part of his scheme. The bill is a paper with barely legible scribbles with arbitrarily written prices. Avoid this place at all costs. The owner clearly preys on unsuspecting tourists. I have a feeling locals know better.

Would give it a zero if I could. Those who are working here was rude. Come here if you want attitude. They are telling they are giving NHS discount and it’s shows outside, while billing they-where not ready to give discount and later they agreed but after the discount amount, they put some additional charges ..and they made the bill was same .. u can see the bill im attached..

Older guy flags our group down and tells us about the menu. One person in our group has a disability scooter and asks if we eat there can he charge it. They say yes. After spending 55 pounds on food and drink the guy adds a 10 pound fee for charging. Horrible nickel and dime service and he was extremely rude while listening to videos on his phone full blast while we ate. Stay away

At first glance, the restaurant looks cozy and authentic. That's the only good thing you can say about it. You are presented with a menu card with incredibly low prices. These have become higher when you have to order - and even higher when you pay. All sorts of mysterious things are added to the bill! On top of that, the waiter took my payment card out of my hand and completed the payment without my consent! For example, they took 20.85 pounds for 2 very small mango lassi (tasted more off water than anything else) and 1 small beer. They also charged £12 for rice for 3 people - mind you portions which were so small that even a 1 year old could have eaten all three bowls. ALL the portions were extremely small and the prices high. But only when you got the bill. Total waste place. Our hotel had heard well about the place and said it was a disgrace to the whole area. They advised us to reject the payment in our online bank! Stay away from this disaster of a restaurant!!!

I guess if you're reading these reviews it's already too late!! You've been had off by a guy taking advantage of people wanting some late evening food and drink! The host is quite clever by mostly quietly serving you and pretending not to hear any negative remarks or criticism knowing that at the end of it he's taken you for a pretty penny! Food is awful, the beer is totally awful and tastes stale and flat. But then you already know all this cause here you are reading the reviews after you've already been mugged off! Pretty sure in hindsight you could refuse to pay and just walk.

Worst experience in an Indian restaurant. Food was average in taste yet very expensive considering the very small portions. Portions are not enough to feed a baby let alone a hungry adult. The waiter kept talking to us , constantly over our heads, no privacy at all . Paid about 3.5 pounds for a small naan with little butter brushed over it, although originally asked for a plain naan.

Watched a review of a group of young women eating here, absolutely scammed them and the food looked disgusting and old. As a South Asian I am disgusted by these people. You should be ashamed to call yourselves Indian, we are supposed to be good hospitable people and yet here you are being dirty liars. Shame on you and this awful restaurant. I promise anyone reading these reviews, on behalf of India, we sincerely apologize and we do not claim these terrible thieves!!!

Cheating people by misusing the name of Indian restaurant, very pathetic food and too costly. The attitude of the host was pathetic. He is misusing the name of India and Taj Mahal for his business. Never choose this restaurant, choose some street food that will be far better than this . They are even misusing the name of NHS and not ready to give discount when asked for by saying that it's not for take away. Never ever visit this hotel even by mistake........

It's not an Indian Restaurant in any way. Extremely expensive, rude behaviour and very distasteful. Very limited food portion (kids meal) and they will force you to select their own choice of food. After eating you will realise it's a packaged food served on the table. No waiters, no kitchen, only 2 old guys running the restaurant. Don't eat if you want HALAL food. Not sure what license they have but they also sell liquor from same counter.

Very unpleasant experience. Deceptive menu (expect to pay twice as much as the menu suggests because nothing is included, not even rice), small portions (our lamb dish contained mostly onions and sauce) and dishonest waiter. I wish I had checked reviews before going there.

Most disrespectful customer treatment we‘ve ever experienced. Drinks are absolutely overpriced, which explains why they are not listed on the menu. A small glass of cheap wine was 12 pounds, a glass of the cheapest water was 5 pounds. When asking about the price the waiter completely ignores you. He called one woman a crazy lady after she politely pointed out that they overcharged her. The food is mid at best. Never again, would give 0 stars, if possible.

Avoid!!! Portions for birds for extortionate prices and owners dares to push you for tip at the end of it. “Prices on menu are old prices” that’s how owner explained the difference in price, as if that was totally ok charging more than on menu. Scam of the place; don’t be fouled by authentic looking Indian restaurant as you will feel robed and still hungry after you just eaten.

The resturant owner is very rude, arrogant and also he insults his customers. He asked us to finish food early and leave early. He gave us extra food which we didn't even order. Also he was misbehaving with woman's.

The food was not good here. My vegetable curry was off, the kebab was so dry and tasted like it was 3 day old leftovers heated up. When I complained about this, the owner said they're supposed to be dry. We were also overcharged and the handwritten bill was ineligible mostly. I asked for tap water but was charged for it. Will never go here again.!

They wanted to scam us. We had to pay more than double and the service was bad. we were treated badly and we were not allowed to pay by card. We were also supposed to get a 10% discount but didn't get anything. Altogether this restaurant is anything but recommended

Mistake !! Pls AVOID this restaurant!! He charged me £35 for a food which only worth £10 at any similar restaurant!! No taste at all!! Should change the name of the shop its an insult to the Great Taj Mahal !!! Rude customer service !! He called himself as the owner and trying to bully the customers to choose the menu as he wishes👎👎 when i ordered a tea his employee was unhappy to make it as his shift was over for the day.. is that a customer's problem?? Seriously🤬 .. I was late reading the previous comments otherwise i wouldn't have visited this restaurant, never!!

I wish I’d checked the reviews before coming here. Food was ok, but not great, small portions, not authentic Indian, one or two pieces of paneer in the entire dish and I paid 12,50 euros for a glass of wine. Worst of all: i got really sick later on in the evening with diarrhoea which is probably due to poor hygiene🤢. The owner is pushy with wanting you to order things. I do not understand how they can still be open and not have changed anything after all these poor reviews. Clearly this is a sign of not caring. Do not go here! I highly recommend the Indian restaurant opposite this one instead!

The food was lovely and very good quality for the price! We had a lovely night, talked with the owner, it was all very nice!

The food was so bad it didn’t even taste like indian food. The waiter kept pressuring us to order expensive drinks and kept pressuring us to write a good review on our experience. When we asked for the bill, he wouldn’t give it to us until we written a good review. He only gave it to us after he checked the review and the total was so expensive with the small serving. Never coming again.
