Best steak restourant in London for sure. They are bringing the same meat from Argentina just like the expensive restourants and the cook is awesome. Try medium rare and was very happy of everything. Starters were also amazing, especially chorizon and empanadas. We meet the owner family and we meet Joe. They are so kind and lovely people. The only bad thing was for me to finish the meal and to be full 😊 You may need to make a reservation before you go. The place is not that big but you will taste the best steak ever in Europe for sure. Enjoy 😉

Small and cosy, excellent service, attentive staff. We tried the steak sampler, all were cooked to perfection and very tasty. Will be back for sure!

I lost count on how many times I’ve been to this delicious restaurant. Can’t recommend it enough! You need to book just to make sure you will have a table, because sometimes it can get very busy. This time We had the chance to try the chocolate cheesecake, and omg! Please try it

Amazing little hidden gem! We had amazing steaks which were really flavourful, clearly not the packaged ones and cooked to our liking for the first time in London! Paired with a great Argentinian Malbec. And then they finished us off with an incredible cheesecake and limoncello. All paired with amazingly friendly and helpful staff! 10 out of 10 def coming back for more.

We ordered two large steaks (Rib Eye and Sirloin) as well as a Calamari starter. The calamari was amazing and the steaks were nicely cooked (char-grilled). The service and staff were exceptional and lovely. We ordered our steaks medium rare but when the cook noticed my wife was pregnant he proactively returned to us and recommended a safer option, which was very thoughtful of him. The total came to approximately £110 for two (bearing in mind I essentially had 500g steak and my wife had 320g, where the 500g steak might as well be two steaks and we had 3 cokes and starter) so I think it certainly is reasonably priced. We came here for our anniversary for the first time and the lovely food and staff has made this a favourite spot to return to for great meats!

Small family business with a really lovely feel. The food is incredible. Really, really good steaks cooked to perfection on the grill. The chips are also good and from what we saw the salads and other sides look very tasty too. I had the 260g sirloin, done medium. It was cooked exactly to my liking, nice and tender but not cold in the middle. The peppercorn sauce that I ordered with it was nice too. We also ordered the bread basket as a ‘nibble’, which was very nice too. It takes about 5 minutes to arrive because it is grilled/toasted. For puddings, the churros are very nice. Very crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, with a nice dulce de leche dip/spread. Service is fast and very friendly staff. This restaurant is a hidden gem, we’ve lived in Mortlake for 7 years now and have never been, but it has some of the best steak in the area. Many thanks to the whole team at La Plata!

Our first visit to this delightful family run restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. We visited in the evening and were able to park right outside. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience. The staff were very welcoming and service throughout was very attentive without being intrusive. The menu offers a wide choice and we each selected 3 different steak cuts which were well cooked to our request. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. A nice touch was to add a lighted candle to my wife's dessert and orchestrate a chorus of happy birthday. An excellent experience - only 4 stars for atmosphere but we ate early and I'm sure when it is full, the atmosphere will be 5 star vibrant. Thank you.

Had a great experience dining for lunch with a couple of my friends after hiking at Richmond park. The food was great and there’s loads of meat!! Everyone’s satisfied and the service was lovely too

Gotta rate this place 5 stars! I stopped by for lunch with my friend yesterday before our yoga class and we both loved it! They do a really good lunchtime deal of £12 for steak and fries. The service was friendly and helpful. The meat is Halal which is even a super bonus! Will be returning again! :)

Friendly place where you can bring your friends to eat some real and genuine food. I very much appreciated the care that all the staff spent to make me feel comfortable and at home. The bread is brilliant!!

La Plata Steakhouse is a Family run restaurant in a really nice location with easy parking. If you are like me and appreciate a good quality steak cooked to perfection at very reasonable prices then I fully recommend that you give this place a try. I very rarely drink so needed to ask the owner to suggest a drink for me and each time I have really enjoyed their selection of Red wines and Argentinian Beers. We had a selection of starters, The Cheese with some empanada's (Beef and chicken) and some mini Chorizos, went down fantastic. Followed by my main of Sirloin steak while my friend has chicken. Finished of with some mini churros and pancakes filled with dulce de leche (unfortunately I didnt get a picture of the pancake)

Great experience, everything you could really ask for in terms of dining out. Friendly, polite staff - nice decor and above all great food. I had seen they had a lunch deal - in all honesty for the price I wasn't expecting anything wow. However I would say the quality of the meat served and the overall food was great. I hope to come again soon and try something different - highly recommended!

The food at La Plata is always superb. Wonderful hospitality and service too. I have eaten here on many, many occasions with family, friends, colleagues and clients and they never disappoint. The best stake that I've had in a while . It was juicy and perfectly cooked. The staaf eas really helpful and polite. It's a small cozy restaurant that I can confidently call secret jem in Richmond. Also it's great balue for money as I paid only 28 pounds for a 400g rumb stake with a side and the portions are very good. The same amount and quality of food in Central London costs at least 60 pounds. I totally recommend it
