Beautiful location with lovely views. An unsurprisingly expensive menu but not unreasonable. The steak and chicken parmigiana were excellent. The service left a lot to be desired…felt rushed at times but also we were left unattended for long periods. We were given a two top in what felt like a walkway where we were pushed so close up into the planter that we had leaves hanging over us until we pushed the table further into the walkway. Requested a table closer to the views but were told we couldn’t sit there because it was a table for four. It wasn’t a particularly busy night and the table remained empty throughout our entire meal. It was disappointing that more effort wasn’t made to get us a better table location, especially given that we made reservations almost a week in advance. The music was eclectic and lively at times, loud and unpleasant at other times. Patio had an overall nice ambiance which we would have enjoyed more in a better location, nearer the view. The highlight was the chocolate dessert platter for two. If you love chocolate, it’s worth it! If you go, ensure you land a good view spot. Hard to justify the prices if you end up in a less than ideal location. Or perhaps go as a group of four or more. Maybe you’ll get better service because they anticipate a higher spend.

It’s a rooftop drink place full of noises and energy if it is what u are looking for. There is a restaurant inside. The music made it very difficult to have meaningful conversations in the restaurant and everything the waiter said, he had to say twice. During summer days it was hot inside. Prepare to just sit and sweat. It was 1.5 hours later when our mains arrived. Obviously the order didn’t reach the kitchens. Most of us ordered medium rare steak anyway. We were given some bubbly for the delay. Food is not too bad. Just the mood was gone when waited too long and it’s too hot and noisy. Nevertheless, the view over St Paul’s is stunning being on 6th floor.

Okay, for the price I was expecting more. The atmosphere isn’t great. A bit noisy and packed. We were in the rooftop but didn’t exactly had a view as we were sat near a wall very far from the small balcony where you can actually have a view. I would say obly 20% of people would have a privileged seat. The food is tasty in general. Presentation is good. The gnocchi was bellow average. Too much flour and very little potato. Nothing very creative really, just your average steak with chips, or if you want to be fancy you can order a lobster. My salmon was beautifully cooked and tasted delicious though. The service is too slow. They forgot our dessert and we could only remind them about it when the server gave us an unsolicited bill. Also they didn’t have some of the wines on the menu. For £136 per person -we had 3 cocktails each - I’d rather go to Lyle’s.

I came here on my own with a Travelzoo voucher. I do like rooftop bars/restaurants and this one does have spectacular views across the beautiful London city! Unlike many 'deals' with limited menus, the menu had several options I was interested in. My server, Tahmid, was well mannered and attentive. The service was so fast I had to suggest leaving time between the main and dessert course! My only niggle was that it was only lit with tea lights and I'm not used to eating in such darkness! All three courses were delicious and the glass of prosecco to wash it down with was much appreciated. I intend to buy another voucher for two and hopefully get nice sunset photos later on during the year. It would also be lighter outside and I'll be able to see my food properly!

Beautiful place with Stunning view! We came for a brunch, for £35 it was definitely worth it. Starters were lovely, chicken Parmesan was not seasoned properly but our wonderful waiter Javier took care of that. Deserts were divine, strongly recommend the prison fruit sphere. Terrace for drinks was super lovely as well and even though I was bit worried about the live music, it wasn’t loud at all and created a nice ambiance. Thank you Jamie and Javier for taking care of us!

Cute place for a special date night went for dinner. They food was tasty, ample and beautifully presented. The drinks cocktail were very tasty. One thing to say they were accommodating and aware of my allergies. Only thing I would say for dinning in winter go for inside dinning.

Had a nice evening at Madison, firstly the views are amazing and you can’t go wrong there, loved the music and a cool vibe. As being my partners birthday she was given a complimentary bubbles and a birthday plate which was a nice touch. Cocktails went down well albeit a bit expensive. Waiter seemed a little inexperience but manager cleared up his mistakes well. The main area which needs addressing is how allergens are dealt with. After a couple emails and a phone call I wanted to confirm that there was a gluten-free menu/options for Coeliacs. I was told on the phone there will be options. My partner sadly fell a little sick after the meal, which was because of the allergens. We were never shown an allergen menu/matrix, it seemed a little off the cuff. One and done for me, lovely experience but for the price and lack of detail in allergens sadly let it down. Didn’t let this ruin our evening and enjoyed the drinks/food.

Very lovely place in the heart of the city - we’ve been at the restaurant for a birthday dinner and it was really nice. All staff was really friendly and welcoming, the food was tasty! Don’t forget to go the terrace section for the most beautiful close up views of St. Paul’s and panoramic views of London!

I recently dined at this restaurant, and I must say it's conveniently located near the church close to bank underground station. The outdoor seating offers a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The drinks were decent 15£ per cocktail, and the four-hour journey accompanied by good music made it an enjoyable experience. On average, it costs around £100 per person. However, what made the visit truly special was our waiter, Jamie/Javier.His exceptional service elevated the entire dining experience. I highly recommend requesting him to ensure top-notch service. Overall, a delightful dining spot with great ambiance and attentive staff.

Great views of St Paul's and across London, DJ, cocktail choice and quality, seating and vibe. Polite service but slow, interrupted in the middle of our drinks for payment and 15% added to the bill for service. Never had that before. We would recommend trying the Summer G&T and the Summer Breeze. A suggestion to Madison would be to ask for payment upfront if it's been an issue in the past for you. Overall, we would go again for one drink and the view. Wouldn't stick around.

Caught up for a quick drink at the Madison with a dear friend from College. The views are spectacular from the roof top setting. The place was packed at 5.30 pm mostly with the city crowd. Good music and amazing atmosphere! Great setting for an early evening summer drink ! Spectacular views !

Good food but the place felt a bit packed. We first had a table outside down the stairs but had to change as we were completely in the middle of the way. We got a table inside where the view was unfortunately covered by some sort of window shade. The view outside though was absolutely breathtaking

A luxurious 5-star hotel in London, and it exceeded all my expectations, the ambiance exuded elegance and sophistication. The staff were incredibly attentive. As for the culinary experience, every dish was a masterpiece. The lobster taco was a delightful fusion of flavors, perfectly complemented by the succulent beef steak cooked to perfection. The Winter in Japan cocktail was a refreshing and innovative blend that tantalized my taste buds. And let’s not forget about the dessert! The chocolate cheesecake was an absolute standout, with its rich and velvety texture melting in the mouth with every bite. To top it all off, they surprised me with a complimentary birthday cupcake, which was a thoughtful gesture that added an extra touch of warmth to the evening. Overall, The Madison offers a dining experience that is worth every penny. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for impeccable service and top-notch cuisine.

I came here on a solo date and briefly mentioned it was my birthday to the hostess who asked if I was celebrating anything. They immediately gave me a free champagne. I thought it was so cute, and went about ordering my meal. My server’s name was Giacomo, and he was extremely attentive. The food was so fresh and tasty, and didn’t take long to prepare. The atmosphere is unreal as well. I mean, that view?? They later suprised me with another champagne & a birthday dessert on them. It made me feel so special. One of the best experiences i’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. Will be back.

Visited on Saturday night with my partner to celebrate his 30th birthday, and we were amazed. The scenery is gorgeous, sat in the middle of the restaurant and still caught views of the London skyline throughout sunset, and the interior of the restaurant itself is designed beautifully. The food was beautiful - well cooked, always arrived at the perfect temperature, came very quickly and was delicious. We ordered a bottle of wine and the waiters were very attentive to make sure the glasses were always topped up. The menu itself had PLENTY of options to choose from for both food and drink, and because they have a set menu, you know the food will always taste great because they're cooking it so frequently. Definitely recommend the trio of desserts recommended for 2 because everything on that plate went down a treat! Both fillet steak and swordfish steak were done amazingly and their starters are incredible - the chicken pancakes & mixed mezze were done incredibly well. A big thank you to our host for the evening Jhoel - his service was excellent, very friendly and was there if ever we needed him without him ever coming across as intrusive into our evening. You were brilliant. Will definitely be returning.

Not the rooftop I'd expected. The only good view of London is when you come up on the lift. The terrace is walled off & the indoor area feels dated - like an early 2000s club. The windows are dirty and the view is just the building. Cocktails are average, wine selection below average. I'd have given this one star but the service was very good and attentive, and the terrace is quite nice, however there are many rooftop bars in London that far surpass this dated City addition.

First time at Madison and I do recommend it. The ambience is charming with a nice view. The service we received was great, Ashlam is friendly and made us feel welcomed. Every restaurant should have a staff member like him. We’ll definitely be back again.

Really cool bar. Staff are fab. Blankets are provided if it gets chilly. They're neatly folded on the comfy sofas. There are also higher tables available with bar stools. Toilets are clean and well maintained. The food was really good and the cocktails are well made! Great views for photos as well.

Realistically the appeal of this place is the view of St. Paul's cathedral. It is the best in London and if you want to really impress out of town guests I would recommend this place. Especially on a clear day for the sunset. It is pricey and full of socialites so if that is not your type of crowd or scene then probably best to avoid. Staff are well attentive and music is good.

Beautiful rooftop restaurant with an amazing view of St Paul’s Cathedral. They have an a la carte menu and 2 courses / 3 courses options, the food is delicious (I recommend the flat iron steak) and the service is very polite.

This was my 2nd visit here. This time was a Mother's Day treat with my daughters. The staff are lovely (except the guys who greet you maning the lifts going up) but once out the lift, the lovely lady who greeted us in the black jacket was very nice, and the young man who looked after us while we was there (his name was MARVEL) was amazing, so attentive, but not too much. All the staff clearing the tables and serving food were lovely too. And the security man who took a photo for us. It was such a great place, and I would highly recommend it.

Chicken was really good. Drinks were good, although a bit expensive for what it was - £90 for 2 of us. Staff kept pestering for payment while we were eating which was very strange and disruptive. Great view of London, especially at night. Really clean toilets.

Being from Manchester maybe a bit more pricey than use to but we had a great experience for my Mrs birthday, everyone from the doorman, staff hostesses and waiters and management were all very welcoming and were great! Loved the food and the atmosphere and the views are so good, thank you for a good night!!

Great place for brunch, service was 10/10! Gloria was amazing, thank you for looking after us! The food was only, the mac and cheese with lobster was terrible! Really disappointed with it, especially as there was a top up as part of the brunch.

  • 5/5 Brooke M. 2 years ago on Google
Reason for the 5 star is the service is excellent and the food served at Madison is excellent! Their good quality , taste and quantity is on top . You can say it’s pricey but it is London prices . Book your table before and the view is beautiful too. There is sitting for outside too and I believe they Jsut serve drinks outside . Service is quick and the staff are very friendly from security to waitresses. Definitely recommend this place for its food and service. However I found the music bit too loud for my liking inside the restaurant. The food was served pretty quick .

What a fun and vibrant experience this was! Service was amazing; it seemed like they worked cohesively as a team to take care of their diners. The food was solidly good. We had an amazing view. I was only sorry that we couldn’t stay longer. I recommend this place for dinner if you’re looking for an exciting night out.

Had a lovely time having a birthday brunch. The food was spectacular and the service was very attentative. We went with the set menu which we had two courses from and a bottle of prosecco to celebrate. The views from the restaurant area are fantastic and the music was enjoyable. After the meal we took the opportunity to take pictures on the large terrace with St Paul's Cathedral as our backdrop. Although it was quite expensive we had a fantastic time and would consider coming back for another occasion.

Overpriced and poor service but fantastic views. We had a table outside which I reserved a week in advance. However we were seated at a table outside with no heaters (every other table and drinks seating area had heaters). We asked to move to a table with heaters (as I saw two tables for our size had just cleared up) and they didn’t let us staying they had reservations (bear in mind - so did we… and this was 9pm so unlikely to have another seating after us). We also asked if we could move inside - again refused. They gave us blankets instead - but it was still freezing! The food was decent. I would say overpriced and nothing special - but you’re paying for the view. We had the lobster linguine and sirloin. Probably the standard of like a good chain restaurant. Ours was limited where we sat, and the cold took any enjoyment out of it. The service was also very slow and inconsistent. They brought out our mains before they even cleared out dishes from our starters. For the prices they charge, I would’ve expected better service or better food. The price is literally for the view. All the same, maybe I’d return for just drinks in the future to avoid all the negatives (lack of heaters, poor service, slow service, average food) - as the view is stunning, especially at sunset.

We went on a Tuesday afternoon for a love the city menu. The staff were friendly but they gave us the wrong menu which was more expensive. Also at the end they charged us the full prices without the discount that was included in the menu we chose. Not sure that was intentional but it was noted. The food was really good, especially the fried chicken waffle, the wasabi mash and the desserts. We also had a steak which seemed to be oven-cooked rather than in a pan. We paid 83 pounds and they charged us the steak sauce which was not clearly stated beforehand. Overall a good experience though and if you get a good deal its worth coming.
