Security on the door could have been a bit more friendly but other than that this place is gorgeous! Having been several times the beauty never ceases and the music hall is spectacular! Decent vegan food options too which is nice and great sweeping views. Highly recommend

Saw the London Philharmonic Orchestra playing music by R Strauss, the final piece was Death and Transfiguration which was amazing and the other pieces were lovely too. Great conductor and pianist too.

As always a super venue, easy access from Waterloo Station Been many times over the decades, but yesterday's visit was after a good few years. Acoustics/Sound engineering has been an issue in the past and sonitcwas yesterday. Issue with low frequencies and the snare drum was so over emphasized. If RFH continues to showcase top end jazz artists, I will be back. PS - very pleasant and helpful staff.

The Southbank Centre is an absolute gem in the heart of London, and my recent visit for the May, December movie premiere was an unforgettable experience. The venue itself is a masterpiece of modern architecture, boasting breathtaking views of the Thames and the cityscape. The Southbank Centre's spacious layout make it a perfect setting for such events. The May, December movie premiere was a cinematic treat. The movie itself was fascinating , and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to watch it in such a grand setting. In summary, my experience at the Southbank Centre for the May, December movie premiere was nothing short of spectacular. This cultural hub continues to be a beacon of artistic excellence, and I can't wait for my next visit to this remarkable venue. Whether you're a film buff, a music lover, or just looking for a memorable time in London, the Southbank Centre should be at the top of your list!

Only 10 minutes from Waterloo Station the festival hall is a great place to meet friends and has large open spaces for kids to run around in. The terrace bar is bustling on a sunny day with it's great views over the Thames. There are numerous food and drinks options inside and out and the food market at the back. As is typical for central London, things aren't cheap though. I also recommend you bring swimwear and towels for kids during the summer, as the water feature gets a lot of action on a hot sunny day but the kids absolutely love it!

I attended “NieR Orchestra Concert: 12024 the end of data”. The seats were good, but I got a bit lost trying to find my door. There are people in the entrance who will point to where do you need to go. Before the concert they sold merchandising, but it was super busy. I arrived 30 minutes before the concert, but the line wait was longer than that, so I gave up on the merchandising.

Our first visit to the Royal Festival Hall, and it couldn't have been better. The staff were nothing less than excellent. We were shown to our floor by Julie(hope we remembered correctly). The seating for wheelchair bound folk was fabulous. We had a great (if not direct) view from the left side of the stage which afforded me a good view of everything except the extreme left of the stage. I was still happy with this. Drinks were permitted to be taken into the auditorium in plastic glasses(if that makes sense). We saw a performance of Mike Oldfields Tubular Bells, which was accompanied by a troupe of acrbatic gymnasts who put on a spellbinding show of acrobatics/throws/balancing etc. They got a standing ovation at the end of the performance, as did the musicians, who were superb. Just to finish the show off there was a video of our sun, recorded live and played back to great effect, to the back of the stage. I was well impressed. Thank you for a wonderful evenings entertainment at the Royal Festival Hall. I will not forget that night for many years.

What a fantastic historic London venue! To be honest I don’t think the buildings look from the outside (large concrete block) does it any justice. Inside it’s stunning and houses and the huge Festival Hall as well as big dance floor and event space. There is a large bar at ground level, as well as bars on each of the upper floors, including a top floor bar which has a balcony overlooking London and The Thames. I lovely spot for a drink before the concert. There are toilets on each of the floors (useful to know as there is often a long queue for the ground floor toilets at busy times)

Nice big foyer. Plenty of places to get snacks and alcohol. If you want to eat in there restaurant you need to book. The same for restaurant outside the festival hall. We thought we would get in as it was 5pm but all were fully booked. Waterloo station was closest however it's very busy so on the way home crossed the bridge and used Embankment.

A grand old place, but rather concrete. That said, alot is done, not to hide it, but blend it in. The decor inside and out is all vibrant and invigorating. It sits beautifully on the Thames in the South Bank area with lovely view ls all round. There are 6 levels, but some are kind of mezzanine. It has a few bars, lots of toilets, and lifts. The whole place is well laid out and fairly easily accessible, but can be awkward in a wheelchair to get from one side to another on certain floors. That said the staff are great and so helpful. The lift with a view to outside also makes a noise which turns out to be a song as you listen and then arrive on your floor so it rather entertaining. The building seems so look it between a blue side and a green side. This is because it is so big and so helps visitors find their way around easier. The hall itself is very big with great acoustics, but you really would hope for that in a place called the Festival Hall:) Nearest train station is Waterloo which is right across the road from it (you need to come out the main entrance, cross the road and go through the passage underneath the rail bridge... Then you are there. As you do that, if you need wheelchair access, look for the lift which is on the left side of the building as you look at it. Nearest tubes are Waterloo, Westminster and Embankment (if you arrive at Victoria). The London Eye and London Aquarium are right by it. The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the Mall leading to Trafalgar Square are just across the bridge. Enjoy

I went to see Brian Eno with the Baltic Sea Philharmonic about 2 weeks ago at the Royal Festival Hall. One of the best shows I've ever been to. The staff there were so helpful and friendly at the Hall. Great lively, warm feeling inside. No complaints, other than I found the seats in the auditorium a bit uncomfortable. As a bonus, there are a selection of great restaurants nearby and the Hall is close to the bus stops on Waterloo Bridge.

Negatives : Flaw in the design, seats are directly in front of each other - they did not need to be. Should someone of standard height sit in front of you then your visibility would be severely restricted Positives : Good layout overall, ample legroom, steps are wide and shallow, aisle space is very generous and you can move around the venue with ease. Lift access to all levels with the addition of a terrace on level 5

Saw the Philharmonic Orchestra perform on a Sunday evening. I arrived about half an hour before so we went and looked out off the balcony on the fifth floor to see the Thames, Big Ben and The London Eye all lit up. The staff at the door helped us find our seats and we sat down in an almost empty theatre. Within just ten minutes there were plenty more people and then the show began. The ceiling of the hall is designed in a way that helps the sound of music travel all the way up to the balcony. I would love to go again.

Excellent venue located on the banks of the river Thames very accessible - we popped into there on a Sunday. There were lots of food stalls outside selling many international dishes. Inside lots of stalls relating to international women’s day. Toilets were very clean, initially sandwiches needed replenishing. When we came back a few hours later the cafe was packed and the fridges, food shelves had been refilled. Staff professional and approachable. We found some comfy seating afterwards to kick back and relax. A live band came on, and it was a nice end to our day. I will return to visit the National poetry library as I need more time to take it all in!

One of my favourite places since I was a child. The clore and frontage is being renovated but it's as fun and inclusive as ever. The punjabi band sounded great during sound check and there's 2 more days of the festival to run.

Amazing building and fun place to go for shows... However, it is showing its age and not sure how much money is being put back into it's maintenance and up keep: broken and unsafe seats, but still being used, dirty hand rails on the stairways (hands were disgustingly filthy after using), glass lifts were jam-packed, not enough staff to say or point out that there were other lifts available and carpet looking a bit worse for wear in places!! Overall, a venue that should be experienced but not sure with the seemingly lack of proper facility management and maintenance for how long the positive enjoyment of such a great venue will last!!

The Royal Festival Hall is simply grand! This a very good venue to watch a live orchestra performance. We went here for the Christmas Classics performed by Philharmonia Orchestra & Chorus conducted by Michael England together with London Youth Choir and it was amazing! It is also nearby the Waterloo Train station hence it is very accessible.

I went there for a graduation service. It was stunning. We had a great view from row F. It was a little tight but we managed. The views of outside from floor 4 were stunning. The decor was impressive. We had tea and cake, it was a bit pricey but you don't go every day. The South Bank is my hot spot in London. I'll be back in the summer!

It was alright, but I was annoyed because I couldn't see well the scene because one tall person was in front of me. Wich is quite ridiculous because I paid for the most expensive seat but the view was not so great. Also the acoustic is good but definitely not as good as others auditoriums I've been before. But I enjoyed the show even though was hard to see the whole scene.

Recently I visited a concert at the Royal Festival Hall, renowned for its history of hosting legendary performances and situated in the heart of the city. However, to my surprise, the speakers' quality was so poor that it was hard to tell the difference between the music and noise and decided to leave the concert in middle. It's disheartening to witness how such esteemed venues diminishing their value, possibly due to financial constraints or poor management. Lastly the post is not for refund the money, though I should. But, message to organisors to take some corrective measures to mainly the legacy of the place

Just stopped to meet friends in the lovely casual coffee area with top views over the river, clean and friendly, no hassling and finally on our way out a lovely young man spotted I dropped something and returned my favourite earring to me with a smile, thank you so much to him for his kindness made my day.

The Royal Albert Hall is a concert hall close to the Waterloo Station, London. This beautiful hall can accommodate more than five thousand people. Outside the hall plenty things to do for children and adults. Street food is another attraction a few steps away.

Went here to see The French Dispatch at the London Film festival. The whole venue was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful with finding seats and the correct entrances. The bar has a nice range of drinks and food however they are quite expensive. The seats in the venue are relativity close together but the leg room was still good. Overall it's a nice viewing experience.

Went to see Chineke Orchestra play, absolutely superb, the building itself is a beautifully maintained mid-century piece of post-war architecture that is actually better than one might imagine. Good bar and facilities, easy to get into and out of, great transport connections and a nice little market outside too.

A really fantastic concert Hall with a great sound. The location on the south bank just melts all your worries away. The seating is well arranged and nicely tiered so you don't have to worry about seeing the stage or being sat behind someone really tall. One of my favourite places.

It was my first time being inside. Very big place. Went to see Wardruna. Seats in the auditorium were comfortable and the acoustics were amazing. Was quite annoyed that people were still walking in during the first act despite a late start. I really think doors should close as soon as a performance begins. No exceptions. It's so distracting.

We watched the TS Elliot Prize readings here and it was amazing. The space was large enough for the event. Acoustics were great. Seats were comfortable enough. Toilets were clean and there was enough space to lounge outside while waiting for the show or in between shows. I'd come back to watch another event in the future. Book tickets ahead online for any event.

The Royal Festival hall is an amazing place and great for watching a film, a theatre show, a concert or listening to a talk. We were recently here for the BFI London film festival. The hall is large and the seats are comfortable. You get a spacious and airy feel. There is a roof terrace which is worth visiting and you get some fantastic views from the South Bank.

It's a fantastic concert venue - at least the acoustic is great from the audience side - but every time I play here it feels like I am a soloist positioned miles away from other performers on the stage ( even when I am playing in a full symphony orchestra!) So quite nerve racking. Seems to be very well managed though:) let's hope it opens up again soon. It's a shame that concerts are currently cancelled because of the pandemic:(

Brilliant place with all its facilities. Concert hall is awesome. Whenever I tried to go there for music concert, its always give me awesome vibes. Superb atmosphere, full of city views at top of it’s balcony. Nice bars n cafes all around of it. There’s a lot of events which u can enjoy free of cost music, art, books etc etc. Helpdesk for ur help n many booklets for full month free or paid plans. There’s something interesting for everyone. Situated at the edge of river Thames gives u more eye catching views of BigBen, Londoneye, River Thames n more in day or night lights. Been there many times just for enjoying sunset view of this beautiful city.

Last night we saw Dave Gorman's "with great PowerPoint comes great ResponsibilityPoint". The show itself was excellent, however the royal festival hall, despite being obviously an old building it is very clearly laid out, easy to navigate, and if you have any problems the were plenty of staff on hand to help out. The seating was very comfortable, the bars well stocked, and the toilets in good repair and clean. A good experience last night, well definitely go back for another show (baby sitters permitting)

A great place for live music. This visit was to hear the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Plenty of seats in the auditorium at various prices. A reasonable number of seats available whilst waiting to actually go into the auditorium and places for drinks and snacks. It has 6 floors so there are alot of steps but there are a few lifts which help.

The staff were really helpful both to me and my partner. Having booked a wheelchair space, the staff were incredibly eager to help us both in the run up to and on the day of the event. Everyone we encountered was supportive and enthusiastic without ever coming across as patronising. The toilets were both accessible and open to all genders and none. I've never felt so safe being able to use the toilet facilities at a venue. For the whole evening, we were treated in a way that was without a single fault. I just wish that every venue in London could be given a tour to help them improve their inclusion policies. I honestly think that the policies for disability and LGBTQAI+ inclusion in this space should be a model used in training. (Also, the concert we attended was brilliant - The Transatlantic Sessions Live - but that goes without saying.)
