Was finally able to visit the shop while on our trip to Europe and obviously it was everything I expected. I just started getting into collecting and found exactly what I wanted. From buying and asking questions to their wonderful and knowledgable staff. It was perfect. Anna was great to work with and made everything a breeze. Highly recommend. Excited to empty my wallet to this shop for years to come.

Like walking into another world. If there's a rare book you're looking for, truly rare, this shop might have an original copy. This is an upscale establishment and their craft shines through on that. Polite and the utmost professional crew running the place. I might not have had quite the budget for the things I saw, but I can guarantee you it's worth a look anyways. Books from centuries ago displayed the way I always wanted a museum to display them.

Fascinating place to have a look around although some of the prices were well beyond my wallet, but I'm sure it's a bit of a Mecca for serious book collectors. When we walked in there was a chap behind an old fashioned desk towards the back of the store which was totally in keeping. He was knowledgeable and obviously in love with his subject. Oh, and there was a first edition hardback of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone if you're interested. I think it was £15k.

A delightful place. The staff are a charm: if you have enough time to browse at leisure, and you're able to quietly blend into the background, I suggest ear-wigging their chatter - they're funny guys. Also: ask to see downstairs, especially if you like letters and vellum.

I was a bit intimidated when I walked in but was quickly put at ease by the friendly and welcoming staff. My eyes were delighted to be able to look upon the first editions and printings of some of the most beloved works from the last 400 years. It was moving, in a way.

This is a really intereesting bookshop. It is a bit intimidating when you first go there. For modern first editions, they will only sell the first printing of the first edition, which limits their stock. The stock is very expensive, (if you are a book lover with endless money, this place is a wet dream) but if you are down on your funds, this is a good place to sell to, because they give you around 30% of their selling price so you still get a decent amount. Especially, as selling rare books over the interet is quite difficult.

Awsome products. Staff sat at desks on laptops with zero offer of help. Was interested in 1st edition just so story they had on the window but not spending 1500 if they can't be bothered to speak to me
