Honestly one of the worst experience my friends and I had. 4 of us went over to eat at about 5-6am after having a night's fun, and ordered a set of burger with chips for sharing. While waiting for food my friend just wanted to relax her eyes so she had her eyes closed while the rest of us were chilling, someone came over and said no sleeping, she wasn't even close to asleep. When the food came, it was in a takeaway bag, and we were confused because we already said dine in. We asked the waitress about it, just said no dine in for 1 set orders since we were a group, and that it'll be takeaway. No one told us anything like that beforehand, she didn't care much either, just insisted that we ordered 2 more items if we want to sit in the restaurant. While we were deciding what else to order, she asked if we were waiting for bus that's why we were there and ordered 1 set in the first place, for the sake of it, even though we already told her we just wanted to share a meal first and maybe order something else later. Everything came off a little rude, no explanations, no person in charge came to talk to us, don't feel welcomed at all. We decided to order 2 more items, and they didn't even help to transfer the food placed in takeaway bag to the plates, as though it was nothing more than a fast food place. But even fast food places don't give their customers such cold treatment. After half an hour into eating, they told us the third level was going to be closed off, asked us to leave in 5 minutes, or we could head to second level instead to continue. However, if we wanted to continue dining at their restaurant, we have to order more food, which doesn't make sense, since we already ordered more than our fill, and they were already kicking us out half an hour into eating, could've told us much earlier. Service could be a lot better, not sure who was in charge, felt like we were treated badly as customers even though we were speaking nicely and didn't do anything to offend the staffs either. Could've talked to us nicely instead of saying it as though we were looking for a shelter waiting for our bus.

Neat little bar that’s always open ™️ Little bit of tightness, lots of friendliness, abundance of tasty food. The place is small, so it’s a bit of a tight fit in some of the tables, with just enough room for the food and drinks. We both got English breakfasts, with me getting the mighty version with more food and wife opting for the sensible version of the dish for normal people who don’t eat like madmen. I particularly thought it tasted great, defined flavors for everything and lovely eggs and toast. We also got some fresh orange juice which tasted superb. Service was super nice and friendly too, which is always a plus!

A superb place to call in for breakfast at any time. The standard breakfast is certainly enough to fill you up but this is a place for indulgence, so go bigger for once and enjoy! On the way out grab some of the tasty pastries to munch as you wander around the City.

Pleasantly surprised that Polo Bar delivered a good value, nice quality, brunch. If you are happy with the small tables, it was unpretentious and served with a smile. The menu had the best selection of pancakes in the area and can highly recommend them as delicious and generous. Worth reserving ahead but there was a fast moving queue for brunch on a Sunday.

Loved the place. Exhausted after flight to London we were looking for some good breakfast to gain some new energy. So many fast-food options around, but we needed something rich and authentic. Polo Bar is such a cool place right in front of Liverpool Street Station. Staff was really kind and food so good. Coffee good as well. What a great way to start a day in London.

Absolutely ridiculous portions of delicious food. Got the very good banofee pancakes but ended up eying the savory breakfasts others got, the sweet options are insanely sweet for so early in the morning. Come hungry.

One of the best berry pancakes I’ve had in my entire life. Went there twice in the space of 1 week. One of my new pancakes favourite spot now. Eggs florentine and english breakfast was also good. Had a great experience the first time with impeccable service on ground floor. The second time, I personally didn’t like the service. I felt the waitress Beatriz was making fun of us (on the first floor) behind our back simply because we asked for an extra mug for tea and an extra plate to share our meal. I paid the discretionary service charge but what’s the point if you can’t even be respected as a customer. Anyway the pancakes still deserve to be lauded!

Amazing place. The staff were helpful, friendly and polite. A bustling place with a great menu whether you need breakfast or a midnight snack. The location is great and straight opposite Liverpool Street Station. Highly recommended especially if you have a big appetite 😁

Aside from who I assume was the manager who greeted my partner and I with a smile and seated us, all other staff were very rude and obviously didn’t want to be there or want any customers there. Waiter was especially rude and got our order (of two things) wrong twice so we ended up just having the wrong thing not wanting to have the staff be any worse to us. Food was not good and not fresh, coffee wasn’t bad. For some reason on the first floor half of the benches had stuff on the seats so they couldn’t be used but staff gave us dirty looks for not leaving quicker so others could sit on the first floor when they could have just moved the stuff? Wasn’t a good experience and we won’t be coming back.

Love this 24 hour place (apparently serving London since 1953). Great menu and food …… love the cocktails and milkshakes too. (don’t be put off by the picture which was a takeaway and the hotdog got a little compressed) After many takeaways we eat in one night and generally was good. See pictures

Great place just across the road from Liverpool Street station. Looks a bit dodgy from outside but it is really nice and cosy inside. You sit in semi-secluded areas, and the card is extremely varied. We had fish&chips, Cajun chicken wrap and a vegan club. All was good. Only mines was that the wrap was served to the table 15 minutes before the other two dishes… such a shame as it makes you a bit annoyed… All in all a good place with fair prices.

Lovely place to grab a quick bite at any time. Came here at 7:30 am and it wasn’t overly busy. From the outside it looks small but there are plenty of tables upstairs and down. We were served by Renaye and Edward, they were both lovely and very considerate. We both had two breakfasts and I was able to swap out items I wasn’t keen on for items I preferred. This was a great touch to their cafe, allowing customers to order what they wanted even if it wasn’t exactly the same as what the menu offered. Thank you everyone! It was a great way to start a busy day in London!

A charming British cafe near the Liverpool Street Station that operates 24/7. Great place to hang out with friends or grab a quick meal. Price is very reasonable. Tried their dessert, drinks and burger n all were good and of high standard. Will definitely visit again next time I am in London.

Fantastic cafe right in the heart of London. This place is an amazing cafe, with a wide range of food and is open 24 hours a day. Staff take orders without a pad and I've never had an offer delivered wrongly. Go for the cheesy chips with pulled pork. Well recommended.

Hot dog was nice. £7 for classic and about £8.50 for the pulled pork hot dog. For Saturday night 1930hrs was not busy. We spent about £26 for two hot dogs, two hot chocolates and two canolli.

Been here twice now and it does not disappoint! Came here yesterday with a large group (5) and we were easily accommodated after a short wait. The place is small and it can feel slightly crowded when seated however it is a really good atmosphere! The place is clean and the decoration makes it. The food is GREAT!! The portions are so good and you get your money’s worth from it. Totally recommend any type of pancakes! They are the best I have had. Additionally, the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows is the BEST!

Great food ( burgers, chips and pancakes are amazing here and good vegetarian options too), nice atmosphere, open 24/7 and just across Liverpool Street station. Recommended for British or US or continental breakfast ( whatever your tastes are, they have something delicious to offer!) or for lunch and dinner. Enjoy!

(October 2022) Just opposite Liverpool Station is the 24hr Café. It was a tad cramped inside so it wasn’t the most comfortable restaurant to be at. The waiters were very nice, the food was amazing and came in huge portions - we really struggled to finish it all. We had the American breakfast and a cheese toastie, with juice and tea with milk. All of it was delectable. The interior is quite quirky and at times rather funny. Overall I’d recommend visiting Polo 24hr Café when you’re famished and are looking for some good old British comfort food.

Good food and service except for the two lowlifes sitting behind us for a while, just harassing customers and not ordering any food or drinks. The staff should do a better job maintaining some degree of civility especially when there are families eating with children around.

The food was great and the prices are pretty fair for London. Portion sizes for the pancakes are huge and the challenges are ridiculous. The breakfasts are high quality. Milkshakes I would say are not worth the money however as they are very thin and taste like a couple of Oreo’s have been blended in milk. Theres no thickness or texture.

This venue is fantastic has a lot to offer. The service is also very good, you can go here for a date or just for a quick bite. Please check your budget if you're eating. The chocolate options are different to your regular supermarket etc options.

Had a bit of a bad week leading up to Friday so decided to treat myself to their supersized Full English breakfast. All nicely presented and tasted great, only complaint I have was the bacon was a bit too charred in areas. Great atmosphere and nice decor. A bit narrow in places so would recommend seating by windows or in a booth and out of the main walkway area.

Me and my friend had breakfast this morning here. We had vegan English breakfast and maple syrup pancakes with streaky bacon. Food was delicious as always! What made our meal even better was Milly’s service because she took really care about us during our visit. Thank you Milly for your amazing service!

Genuinely the best breakfast experience I've had in my life. Everything was absolutely spot on; from the brilliantly cozy atmosphere to the uniquely rustic aesthetic and decoration, to the mouth watering selection of food. Plenty of brilliant choices are on offer, from American pancakes to English benedicts. When you walk inside, you are greeted with a beautiful selection of pastries. When you sit down, you feel at home immediately with the cozy vibe. The food is gorgeous - we had the English Breakfast, American Breakfast and Smoked Salmon Benedict. When our food arrived, it was presented very nicely and smelled great. Each dish was perfection, with the right amount of balance. To accompany it, we had tea, which made the ultimate breakfast experience. The servers were all extremely friendly and welcoming! I would go again without a second's hesitation, and the convenient location right outside Liverpool Street Station means it is brilliant for travellers and tourists, especially given how it's open 24 hours.

Perfect place for brunch with friends, conveniently located in front of Liverpool Street so easily reachable by all my friends who live scattered around London. Food is amazing - and the pancakes are a must. Milly, our waitress, was a true delight, super attentive and extra friendly.

Great spot for a quick, hearty and reasonably priced feed. I grabbed the philly cheese steak, which was a generous amount of steak and cheese topped on a brioche roll and was full of flavour. Mate had a fish singer sandwich which he enjoyed! They've been open since 1959 so must be doing something right.. it's also 24 hours!

The service was disappointing, both in terms of hygiene and the lack of courtesy. My friend asked for a replacement for an item on her plate (a simple egg) and this man, with a grumpy attitude, refused to do so, despite her wanting to pay extra, but reluctantly agreed. The first two dishes arrive and the table had not been cleaned by the previous customer, and with disgust I discover that there was a hair on my plate, while the third dish arrives later than the other two despite the fact that it was Monday and the restaurant was practically empty, finally they forget to bring the rest of the dishes, putting us in a position to go and remind him without even an apology on his part. Horrible, unprofessional, not the same as a few years ago. Don't go there.

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was decent even though I found a hair in the bacon. Coffee was fine. The place is cramped and noisy though and that's why I don't recommend it in particular. Also the air was quite hot and the floors were not properly ventilated. Nonetheless a pleasant stay.

Excellent place to eat - I had the English breakfast which was well priced considering it was 2am (!), generous and with very good quality ingredients. The only thing I’d mention is not to play loud music while you’re eating - it doesn’t work at all and is pretty annoying. Much better to play the radio quietly in the background or something.

Went here for lunch and had lotus pancakes and American burger. Food was nice, pancakes were light and fluffy. Burger was OK, not the best I've had but not the worst either. Was a little too grisly. Also had chips with cheese and bacon. They were OK but the toppings weren't evenly distributed and so you get a pile of toppings in one place. Weren't asked where we wanted to sit, we're shown a table in a tiny place which had no natural light, when we left we saw another part of the restaurant that was much bigger and lighter and so would have preferred to have sit there had we been shown a choice. Perhaps it is where we sat that was the cause of some slow service, we waited long periods without seeing anyone. Ordered drinks which were forgotten about, so asked another member of staff, still didn't turn up, had to ask a 3rd time. On the whole when we did get service they were friendly. Not a bad price for the food and drinks we had considering it is in London. Would come back but would sit somewhere else now we know the layout. Nice decor with interesting artefacts to look at.

Went by myself and was greeted by the friendliest people! It is a bit of a tight squeeze if you have hips and thighs, but there are some pretty accommodating options available. Once seated all comfy and good!Food came out quick and hot. I had a very delicious traditional English Breakfast and a spot of tea. Enjoyed the fun vibe and would definitely go back and try other options!

I’ve been here lots of times for drinks late in the night and I didn’t enjoy it. Tonight even though they were busy as always Vivian looked after us the whole night. Well done to this girl that made me reconsider my opinion about this place! 👍😎🥳

Great spot for dining. Beautifully decorated with lots of seating on 3 different floors. We ordered the traditional English breakfast and the vegetarian veriante and were very excited about the size of the portions and the quality of the food. In addition, we were always served very quickly and friendly. A clear recommendation for anyone who wants to try the English breakfast.

Great burger and good service. It was the firsttime and if you like to have a "dirty" burger this is one of those places. Shakes could be a bit better. I realized half of it was air, tasted not bad.

Institution. Great breakfasts, coffee and service. You'll be lost in all of the memorabilia on the walls etc. Very reasonably priced too considering the location. Much better than that breakfast club around the corner.

  • 5/5 D 10 months ago on Google
Great for a midnight meal right up until anytime - it really is 24/7. Service was quick and personable. Food is obviously greasy but it’s advertised as good grub; a lot cheaper than duck and waffle down the road which comes with greater waiting times and has unfortunately not delivered a great deal in past visits. Recommend the Philly cheese dog and loaded chips; though there were many options that others got and enjoyed sober (such as their chicken wings). Definitely worth a visit after a night out in Shoreditch/city/London Bridge.

Cool place to stop in town if you are visiting. Portions are humongous so it's a good bang for your buck. Server was the sweetest and super accommodating. Thanks for the nice time Polo Bar.

  • 5/5 Jodie 1 year ago on Google
Always a great place to have an all day breakfast. The service today was great and fast. It was getting really busy and due to the building layout being narrow but tall, tables are really close together. If you are looking for a spacious cafe this isn't the place for you but if you are open minded and looking for an amazing British/American menu this is the spot! Located 10seconds across the road from Liverpool Street station it has a small shop front, so look out for it!

The greatest breakfast I've ever had. Not only was the food amazing, but the waiter was extremely kind and helpful. The antique and rustic aesthetic is unique and gives a cosy feel when you're eating. As soon as you walk in, you can see a range of delectable pastries and are met with a warm environment: the cafe and the staff. We had the smoked salmon benedict, the mighty full english breakfast and the american breakfast. The food was extremely well presented. Needless to say, we left with high spirits and full stomachs.
