The guy behind the counter picked up a chunk of goat cheese, squeezed it a bit and asked: will you eat it today or tomorrow? This one is ready today.... So we went ahead and bought for today and tomorrow and much much more!... ..and we had a huge toasty to go filled with several kinds of cheeses #letsguide

Cheese shop, however, it makes wicked cheese toasties. It’s thick with cheese and spring onion, then you can add chutney’s and hams ect. A classic is about £6. It’s stupid good, little burnt cheese is probably the best bit! Highly recommend

A tiny shop with an amazing, albeit small, upstairs sitting dining area...seats ten.The cheese toastie with tomato and ham is one of the more special delights! A must if you want friendly, intimate, very special folks with an experience in toasties you will choose over and over again. Try Pistachio & Pickle once and you will return ,as have my wife and myself. Visiting for a month, Julian Bills, Connecticut, California

Amazing cheese toastie!! We had the chilli jam toastie and it was diviiiine. So gooey and full of flavour! I can’t wait to go back and try the other ones! To note: it is one of those places that charge more to eat in, so we ate it at a park nearby :)

Tried the cheese toastie last month and it’s the best toastie in London for my money. Staff are lovely too!

I have been eating the cheese toasties for > 3 years!! The cheese toasties here are the best I've ever had - I can't stop going back and can't stop telling people about them. I've never felt this passionate about a cheese toastie before but you really have to try them. I recommend with Ploughman's chutney or sweet chilli chutney. Would give 10 stars if I could Also brilliant friendly service

Consistently the best toasted sandwich of my life, it’s messy (in a good way), delicious and the perfect amount of food for a nice lunch. Charming location, with a charismatic owner. I just can’t recommend this place enough! A must visit for all things cheese.

Superb spot in the middle of Camden passage. The cheese toasties are just amazing and the owner is friendly!

Probably the best cheese toastie I've ever eaten which I consider to be high praise coming from someone who loves cheese! As you can see from the photo the amount of filling in the toastie is substantial and it was toasted to perfection with crispy edges and bits of toasted cheese crisped onto the bread (the best bit!). I ordered the red onion chutney toastie which was delicious. Also tried the chilli one which had a nice subtle kick and was also good. I've read reviews saying service is slow - it wasn't the quickest but I didn't see this as a problem at all. Unless you're in a rush, relax and enjoy the pretty cobbled streets while you're waiting!

Guy with glasses behind the counter was rushed, rude and barely gave more than one-word answers to a few (pretty normal) questions I had. I was really interested in the range, but I should’ve gone elsewhere. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but there was absolutely zero warmth to his customer service unfortunately.

I had my first cheese toastie from here today. I hope and expect it will be the first of many. It had I think 3 cheeses, ham and sweet chilli and was simply delicious. And the shop also has a great selection of English cheeses that I look forward to trying now that I have moved to Islington.

Not only the best grilled cheese toastie, perhaps in the world, but also an excellent oat milk latté and excellent cheese to go. Really the best, I love this place. Just look at what Sean (Shawn?) made me.

Amazing cheese toastie - best I’ve had for along time. Owner is super friendly and the toasty was well made and piping hot! Would recommend a York if you takeaway.

We order two cheese toasties take away, there were delicious. The owner was really friendly and the toasties carefully individually packed. I'll come again for sure :)

I would give 6 stars to this place if i could; the cheese toasties are simply that good. Aside from the exquisite toasted cheese sandwiches - the best i've ever had - there's an excellent range of cheeses and other deli items to buy in this little shop. The service was friendly and the prices were very good for the area. I'm genuinely trying to figure out when I go to this place again!

Can not rate this place highly enough!!! Such amazing cheese toasties, lovely products and always wonderful service. I don't know how this doesn't have queues out the door every day. A hidden gem. I took my mum here for a bite to eat while she was visiting and she's asked to go back twice since, I think she now comes to visit just for the cheese toasties, rather than to see me!

Walking down Camden passage to shop, I came across a sign out front of a cute shop that said Toasties! I was visiting from America, and very hungry so I ran right in. The shop’s man inside (owner I assume?) was very friendly, I inquired about each type of toastie (he kindly explained the flavors and ingredients in each) and picked the original. The man offered to bring it out to me at the table, so I waited briefly outside, observing the cute jelly gift sets and pickles and olives from the window. Let me say, I am picky about my cheese, and was so so surprised at how DELICIOUS it was. Melty and gooey, while crispy and grilled on the outside. Some of the cheese and onion crept out of the bread, but it was so good I kept eating it with a fork! It was quite large, cut into two and wrapped individually. If I lived there, I would be at this lovely shop every week. Please stop by if you’re looking for a delicious snack/lunch!! SO SO SO YUMMY!!
