The toilet is the worst of Shoreditch, stink, horrible and dirty. More than 3 times I saw feces in the toilet. When you sit upstairs you can still smell it, made me sick and gave up my drink. It is the shame as bar staff is very friendly, nice music, and beer is nice and cold. I have talked to the staff after hearing a table next me complained about the toilet, saying there is "an explosion" in the loo. Hope the owner seeing this and change the way they handle their toilet, you are loosing customers because of this terrible toilet that stinks upstairs

It is a really nice place inside with a spacious place upstairs. Closes a bit early though and quality of music in the ground floor was pretty low. LGBTQ friendly (or at least not hostile despite mostly straight vibe).

Been here many times over the years, beer wasn't the freshest but still cool venue

Had a really horrible expierence with an aggressive man on Friday night who called me horrible names and spat in my face. Approached a bouncer to say I felt unsafe and nothing was done. Wasn't a nice atmosphere with people like that allowed to behave like that with no consequences and left me upset.

Fantastic dingy venue upstairs although some work needed on the lighting rig because not every band wants to perform every song bathed in red! Noisy music downstairs spoils traditional pub atmosphere but nice range of well kept beers and ales. Better daytime feel.

Great place. Good beer, nice location, and live rock of great quality. Will definitely come back.

Went in for a quiet Sunday afternoon drink with friends. Told they wouldn't serve us after one drink, with no explanation. Very weird and dehumanising behaviour from the staff and manager, who would not engage with us over what on earth the issue might be given we were just sitting quietly in a corner catching up. Manager decreed this to staff then left the premises immediately, leaving the staff as bewildered as us. None of them could explain what was going on.

Dirty, load and old pub. But in a good sense. It’s a place where you stop by for a drink and move on. You can stand outside and watch the people and traffic. Waiters are friendly and taking care not too many glasses are outside. Colourful combination of people in there too. We have been on a Saturday early evening.

The Old Blue Last has been a staple bar in Shoreditch and a scene-hub for as long as I remember. It gets very crowded and there are only a few seats around the sides and in a little side room, so if you don't mind crowds and you just fancy a dance, it could be your thing. The staff are great tho.

This is a fantastic little pub in Shoreditch located right near Shoreditch High Street. The pub offers many ales, ciders and spirits and looks pretty traditional inside. They have many TV screens for football games and a separate venue room for live music- which happens daily. I do really love it here and always have a good time, but wish the toilets were a bit cleaner!

Really cool place, the vibes were everything. The amazing Celtic Folk live band was playing, totally in different time period! You can order Yard Sale Pizza online to pub location and then collect and eat inside 😋

We were here with new years eve, great party and lovely people! The blonde lady is the love of my life but she has a boyfriend, great lad. Anyways, we came back the 2nd for my best mates birthday. Again great crack and the Irish bar lady was lovely. However, she did not want to get our instagram for whenever she’d come to Amsterdam. I can arrange boat trips, I’d be more than happy to help her if she comes over. Or any one else who is 20 to 30 years old, a lady and single. My instagram is @mickdelang see you soon!

First time here. Attended the SNAYX gig. The staff were excellent and very friendly.....a credit to the venue. The gig space was excellent for such a small venue. Will definitely visit the pub again on a non gig day.

Security was rude. I bought my favourite whisky and went outside with my friends for a cig. One security guy told us to smoke closer to building, which is ok. Then they told us that glasses should be inside, and after i asked to finish it or finish cig , instead of getting reply verbally the security guy went towards me took my drink and throw it on the road. I was shocked and was thinking what to say polite, and he told me to not look at him otherwise he will not let us in (we paid for our tickets). Next time we went outside security pushed us out from the barriers and told us after " you should stand over there". Do security guys can speak before doing anything? I don't recommend this place for a "lovely" eve unless you want to treat you like an animal.

Great venue for nice small gigs. Saw The Melvinator, Get Dead and the Codefendants there a week ago. Great vibe and decently priced drinks.

Good vibes at this pub in Shoreditch/Hoxton. Enjoyed the music. Average prices in London for drinks but a good selection.

Great music venue. Yes the floors sticky but a great atmosphere and a small venue so great for watching live music. Toilet was full of druggies.

Good vibes, been here a few occasions. My friend is a Dj there so I am a bit bias. It’s a busy, messy joint where 75% is dance floor which is my type of gig! Drinks are good and the music is always on point. Theresa an upstairs and a private room on the top which I had a private function at.

Went for live event in upstairs space - gritty and authentic, 'just there for the edgy music don't care about decor' vibe. Sports screen downstairs plus end of evening disco event

Just had a great night in here, bar staff were great, music was great, atmosphere was great but please do look after your belongings as I had a much loved coat stolen halfway through the night, other than that I'd definitely recommend coming here 🕺🏻

Always have a great time here. The only downside would be that sometimes the security aren't hot on the predatory men that sometimes enter the venue. On occasion this has sometimes led my girlfriends and I to feel quite uncomfortable at times. In saying that, the bar staff and the general vibe of the place is always fantastic.

Been many times now and always have good time. Fast service at bar. No pretensious shoreditch crowd. Just decent drinks and company

The Old Blue Last 📍38 Great Eastern St, London, EC2A 3ES 🚇 Shoreditch High Street 🍺 £3.50 Becks Vier ❤️ Standing proud as punch slap bang in the middle of Shoreditch is The Old Blue Last. It’s a beautiful looking pub with one very large bar and a music venue upstairs. There is a proper London pub feel about the place with its high ceilings, large arched windows and traditional bar. There’s a younger crowd here which adds to the lively atmosphere but it wasn’t overly busy on this Friday afternoon, so no real wait to get served at the bar. This boozer has bundles of character and retains a traditional feel which is one of the things I was most impressed about on my visit. . If your want that true London pub experience, I would recommend a visit during the day. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 23/03/18

The music in the downstairs bar was so loud it made my tinnitus come back. Physically impossible to speak to anyone short of screaming in their ear. Just stupidly, needlessly loud music. Gets 2 stars because I was there for a gig and the sound upstairs was actually a normal level. Plus the music venue is air conditioned.

Great pub with amazing atmosphere and good selection of beers. A massive thank you goes to the staff but especially Lucy who was incredibly helpful and professional. Can’t recommend this place enough!

They should be done under Trades descriptions as they advertise drinks for £4.40 to 6pm and when you try to take advantage of this offer they say it’s only till 5 and they need to take it down off the website and you will be charged full price. Greedy charmless public school bar manager wearing a silly baseball cap he’s too old for
