I love collections like this where you have such a variety of beautiful items brought together and reflecting the owners artistic tastes. I actually didn't realise you couldn't take photos as no one said anything and there were no signs. There are over 700 items on display across the two floors of this house. Perhaps my favourite items were the incredibly beautiful and intricate jewellery and the Renaissance Ceramics; the Maiolica on display here is tin-glazed pottery decorated in bright colours from 15th/16th Century.

The house was owned by German gold and diamond explorer. They had extensive collection of jewellery, paintings and items. Fantastic house and it’s small but surprisingly quite a lot to see. Bridgeton used the front of the house in the drama, which I knew it was always the case. There children friendly activities like puzzle and drawing in the house. Parking is free except a couple of the hours during the day Monday to Friday. The phots are not allowed inside the house, but we still had a good time in the house. It’s part of English Heritage site so it’s free entry for members.

Couldn't go inside due to COVID, but it's a beautiful looking building and worth a look if you're in the area. Used as the main house of the Bridgerton family in the Netflix show Bridgerton.

Interesting place to visit. The Wernher collection is incredible to see. Sadly you cannot take any pictures. The facade of this house was used in Bridgerton

Beautiful mansion in London used as the Bridgertons house in the Netflix series. Quite small but charming. I didn't go inside though, it was already closed at that time. You can also visit the Greenwich Park which is pretty close to the Rangers house and worth the look.

On one hand, Ranger's House was built in around 1723, and it was mainly used by diplomats. On the other hand, Julius Wernher was a business man that made his fortune in South Africa working with gold and diamonds. Inside the house, you can find an impressive collection of artwork, paintings, jewellery, and the most expressive and the most beautiful statue that I've ever seen so far: the Bergonzoni sculpture. The collection has artwork dating the 15th century, and what makes it special is the level of details that people were able to create many hundreds of years ago when they didn't have laser to cut or print out. The only downside of the whole experience is that you are not allowed to take pictures. Therefore, the following images are from the book they sell. Ranger's House has been part of the English Heritage since 1986.

*please note images are from the rose garden behind the rangers house, english heritage request no images are taken inside the property* The Ranger's house is a 5 minute wall from my house. I have lived in Lewisham for almost 3 years and I can't believe I have never been here before. The art collection is fantastic. There is even a Botticelli painting in there!!! The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable about the collection and offered a lot of insight into both the art collection and the Ranger's house. This is one of the best things to do in Greenwich but I don't feel as though I hear many people talk about it! If you are in South East London - make sure sure you include this - you definitly won't regret it.

Adored this place ! The only negative I could think of is the no photos policy, which is a shame as every room is full of beautiful ornaments and I honestly wanted to photograph everything! Staff were also friendly and helped guide me around Overall price is £10, which is pretty good value! I spent around 2 hours there not only looking at the exhibits, but also reading the guides and infoboxes. If you're into history definitely recommend picking up the books they have in each room, it explains each painting/artifact in greater detail. Overall layout of the house is fairly easy to navigate, and the artifacts are all numbered so you can easily read up on it in the books

Joseph was the best possible guide, knowledgeable and approachable clearly loved his work.. The collection is spedid and various. A pity about how the money was obtained. Welcoming generally with seats you are allowed to sit on throughout.

First visit. I've lived nearby for all my life but never visited. The collection is quite stunning and the staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I visited for an hour. Nowhere near enough time. I will be visiting again for sure.

Fantastic gem in Greenwich! I've lived in London for 12+ years and regret not visiting much sooner. Wonderful collection of paintings and objects and really great staff. One of the volunteers (Alison) was lovely and gave me a short tour of her favourite highlights.

An English heritage property situated at the top of Greenwich Park. We walked up to it but couldn't get in as the rose garden was closed so had to walk round the top via carpark . What was going to be a nice stroll turned into a longer up hill walk. £10 if not in EH. Warner collection relates to

Half way up the hill in Greenwich you will find the rangers house. Which has an eclectic mix of paintings and Pottery under the name if the wernher collection. So these pieces were not in the house originally. This property is English heritage and free if you are a member on the day I went they had no guide books. Also the info on a lot of the pieces seemed a bit light. Overall some great pieces just a little underwhelmingly presented

A gem of a place (literally). A lovely collection of masterpieces. Even the children were inspired to read and find out more about ancient vases and clocks!

While the collection for an art connoisseur may be interesting, if I were not a member of EH, it would be a waste of money for me. Although I am a lover of history, discovering new facts, etc., I passed this object in 10 minutes. Besides, for me, the downside is the ban on taking photos.

Really enjoyed visiting Rangers House. Its very different from most English heritage properties. The focus of this place is on one man's art collection. Well worth a visit

Make sure you go around the front of the house as at the back the opening hours are out dated and advised it was closed when it wasnt. Lots of lovely jewellry and paintings to view. Visited as part of our English heritage subscription

You are not allowed to take photos to the collection. However, it really worthy a visit for an hour! Fabulous artworks and beautiful rooms, with the best sculpture presenting love.

An incredible find and one that not many people seem to be aware of. Situated on the edge of Greenwich Park it is the home for Werhners collection of ceramics, jewellery and paintings. Having made a fortune in the South African diamond and gold industry and become one of the wealthiest men in GB he used part of his fortune in collecting some of the most impressive pieces of art. Looking at the jewelry under a magnifying glass (supplied) brought out the most incredible details. Our 2 day trip to London was worth it for Rangers House alone, sadly we had booked time slots in other attractions, otherwise we could have spent more time here You could combine a visit to Rangers House with a visit to other nearby attractions. Both the Cutty Dark, Greenwich Maritime Museum and the Docklands Railway are only a pleasant 20 minutes walk away through the park and the Royal Observatory even closer. Splendid views over London as you return to the river. The Rangers House closes at the end of October, but reopens again in March
