Gillespie park is more of an adult thing where you stroll through what is more like a nature walk with a completely natural pond and small garden shop at the end. Would definitely recommend giving it a look

Nice area to walk through from Drayton Park to Finsbury Park. Very peaceful and my daughter particularly likes the pond area for spotting various wildlife. Great fun for children and a nice way to avoid traffic and enjoy the quiet surroundings.

Wonderful little park with a pond, where I saw a heron. The top trail takes you from Arsenal to Finsbury Park.

Hidden from the public, this little park is an absolute gem! It is part of a small conservation area with a community center inside that hosts some events for children and families from the to time. Come here to enjoy the quiet atmosphere in a shadow of the trees and bird singing in the middle of a busy day.

A bit of a find. Walked past many a time, unaware that this large wildlife park was hiding so close. Lots of paths and diverse habitats

We went to Apple Day 22-10-23 A brilliant day, I brought chutney, hand knitted hats and gloves and local honey. The children loved chopping , shredding and pressing apples to make outstanding apple juice. Each batch was a different variety, all tasting divine. I learnt England has more then 400 varieties of apples, WOW

Looked like the main part of the park was closed and not maintained, but finding a nature-full path next to this park going through to Finsbury Park beside the train tracks was a delight.

Lovely little series of wild, green spaces, which have clearly been loved and curated by the local ecology centre. A real hidden treat.

Wilded park near Arsenal, lovely little ecology centre, for central london a reasonable amount of wildlife to see with the kids. We held an outdoor bushcraft birthday party here and was great doing tug-of-war, bow and arrow making, shelter building and party, all outdoors.

This site is a little natural gem, nestled in the heart of busy London. Small but mighty, it hosts ponds, trees, wildlife and social gatherings - well done Islington and co. for keeping it going! 👌

Beautiful nature with lots of interesting spots for kids, natural habitat, a little lake..etc. lack of supervision causes some antisocial behaviour from some; dog walkers, drug and alcohol abusers, or couples specially in the late hours.

Sliver of ecology centre greenery between bustling Finsbury Park station and ultra-gentrified Drayton Park. The path alongside the railway can be grim, especially in winter, but there are places where, if you look in the right direction, the buildings are hidden by trees and it doesn't feel like zone 2 London. It might look intimidating, walking up the grubby steps opposite the station, especially after dark, but there are both men and women walking and running here, giving it a safer feel.

Secret 'park', actually linear reclaimed railway land converted to wide wooded strip between Finsbury Park Station and Arsenal tube. Quite long and varied. Interesting Islington Eco Centre at bottom.

A stunning nature reserve in the heart of Islington, North London offering a welcome reprieve from inner city living. Lots of wildlife, nature trails, teaching gardens, an abundance of wild flowers, birdlife, insects, ponds and trees.

Lovely park, lots of trees and staff feed the birds!! I am afraid wildlife isn't sometimes respected by visitors, as dogs are in the dog free area. That's not good. Wildlife is reducing every year and the next generation may not get to know many species, since they are dying and becoming extinct.🐦🌳🌳🐿️🐦

A different kind of park, with a nice walkway to enjoy a relaxing stroll and be close to nature. Was yesterday less crowded than other large parks in the area.

More an overgrown area in central London than a park. A bit too quiet and I wouldn't go here after dark.
