My friend and I stayed here four nights and we never had hot water in our shower. We alerted front desk/management every night of our trip and nothing was ever done. At one point, we were simply ignored and only received a head nod from the woman in the lobby as she continued to do paperwork. Incredibly rude. There was also no AC in our room on the top floor, and as you know....heat rises. We kept our window (with no screen) open the entire stay. Also, the lifts were broken, so we had to climb up and down six flights of stairs every time we wanted to come and go into our room. I understand this is a budget hotel...but even the worst of hotels don't make you take a cold shower every night.....

The 5 stars only came in because it was the hotel I stayed in on the hedonistic evening of Arsenal-Olympiakos 1-2 with El Arabi's pistols....

I am only giving two stars because the hotel was cheap to book and the bed was clean. I did not enjoy the experience at all. The building is super old. Whenever someone leaves their room, the whole building shakes. The beds are old and uncomfortable. The walls of the room needs a repainting. Even the curtains were torn. Everything seemed dusty and old in the room. I didn't find the room relaxing at all. It was difficult to spend even one night.

Not a nice place to stay, location is about its only saviour, and I suppose the bed was comfortable enough. The WiFi is not strong enough to use at all, so may as well not advertise it. Almost everything was dirty and/or broken in the room, including bathroom taps and even the floor. The toilet barely flushed and the shower was dirty and powerless. The whole place clearly isn't maintained or cleaned to any acceptable standard. The worst was the long black hairs that were everywhere, on our floors, beds, shower, taps, walls, mirrors, towels, and disgustingly ourselves after using the towels. I came to the conclusion that obviously nobody cared enough to clean the rooms, as frankly a child could have done a better job.

It was a great location and everything was so clean! We also had breakfast there and I enjoyed it very much! However I didn't like that you could hear every noise.. like people walking around in their rooms and outside my room. Except for that... It was a great experience.

The family room was spacious and clean. Every guest had their own towels and shampoos. The included breakfast was very good, open buffet from 7 to 10 am. The beds were a bit too saggy and uncomfortable.

especially to avoid very expensive very poor quality torn carpet 3 mm space between the double glazing and the wall where the air passes in addition places in the city a little fearful or even disreputable in the evening

We were after basic accommodation on a visit to London Close to Alexandra Palace. That is all we needed as we were only going to be sleeping there. Bed was comfy, pillows comfy. Plenty of space in the room. Small bathroom but manageable. Sure, the walls could do with a lick of paint, creaky floor boards but it didn't bother me. And we had hot water, after reading some reviews I was nervous about not having any, but it was fine! I would return if I was going to the area again!

Location is great, really close to tube line and in Zone 2 so not far to anything. Also has everything you need in a 5 min walk if you just wanted to buy a couple of bits or have food or drink in Finsbury Park itself. The hotel itself is completely fine for an overnight stay. On first impressions it didn't seem great, reception area could do with some love and the atmosphere was quiet and a bit awkward. Just a bit dated and felt like the entrance to a council flat building, however the room itself was great for a quick stay over. Clean and well maintained with an ensuite and enough room to keep a few bits. Smallish but not cramped at all for a 2 person stay, especially if you don't plan on spending time in the hotel on your visit. Private parking, reasonably priced for London. Walls are definitely thin though, used the do not disturb sign but was kept awake most of the morning by housekeeping going into every other room around us. Overall a decent stay.

A good size and fairly comfortable room. Was overlooking a main road and very close to to Finsbury Park, but hardly any noise was heard. A nice selection for the continental breakfast. A couple of minor faults though - the shower took ages to get right and the stairs were very noisy. Other than that would recommend.

Friendly staff, clean and very simple rooms. Very central, next tube station is three minutes of walk away, with the tube you can go to the centre of London very fast. Disturbing was the noisy street and that the room was very hot because there is no air conditioning. The breakfast is simple but okay. I personally wouldn't come back because it was so loud during the nighttime but for people searching for a cheap and central stay and don't have a problem with the noise (or could sleep with closed windows) I'd definitely recommend it.

The hotel is absolutely nothing like the pictures. The first room we were in was tiny. they expected two people to share what amounted to a single bed, with a grubby shower, no wardrobe or any hanging facilities for clothes. it was also up 8 flights of stairs as the lift didn't work and I walk with a walking stick. We got moved down to a twin room on the ground floor (which was good) except that the floor outside the room was uneven and unfinished so any time someone walked past it sounded like an elephant walking past our room, shaking the bed and the toilet. there was no disabled access to the hotel, breakfast room or rooms. a "continental" breakfast includes more than toast and cereal. the reception staff were rude. the hotel was halfway through renovations when we arrived with plaster dust on the floor, holes in walls, workmen walking around and the smell of paint everywhere "free wifi" a joke unless you're prepared to sit in the reception to gain access

Cheap but definiately NOT cheerful. The rooms are not very nice, extremely thin walls, undulating floors meaning that there was a clear inch or so gap at the bottom of the door, (not very good for privacy). The bathroom is best described as grim. There were hairs on the beds and in the bathroom and the curtains had seen much better days. Woken up by very noisy guests, slamming doors, arguments etc.

Room was spacious, comfortable and clean, but a bit on the basic side, good for the price. Great location with lots of shops and takeways open late. Breakfast was toast and cereal, basic but satisfactory. Cleaning staff very kindly let us lay in on the check out day and didn't disturb us until 3, but the receptionist was a little snappy. All in all we would go back.

The only highlight of this hotel is the location as it is close to the inner city but the Finsbury Park area is rough and doesn't feel very safe. Even for the cheap price, you'd expect a clean room, but that is left to your imagination should you visit this hotel. Dirty rooms with hairs on floor of main room and bathroom. Low beds with average mattresses and thin stained sheets. 6 plugs on one wall yet no kettle etc. "Free WiFi" doesn't work or reach further than the reception area. The lift was out of order and seems to have been that way for a long time, which wasn't an issue for myself but would be for others. Windows damaged and struggle to open/close. Uneven floor and thus uneven beds. Greeted by a rude receptionist who asked irrelevant questions and made for a dragged out check in although other staff seemed friendlier. I'd recommend this hotel only as a last resort.
