Honestly an amazing curry - took me right back to Indonesia with its flavours. Can’t wait to go back next week and try the other curry or even go for the mixed option. Value for money is great for how good it tastes, make sure you go and try this place out, if you’ve been putting off going - go asap! It’s 100% worth it. The guys behind it are also really nice chaps, chatty and happy to talk, you can see from their site and research in Indonesia they really care about the food they’re making! Soya yogurt available for plant based diets, and the curry’s themselves are all vegan.

Just tried this at Leather Lane market. Compelled to write a review based on the taste alone. Truly delicious. I've had tempeh before but this was done really well and the Javanese curry was fantastic. Also portion size was amazing for the price.

Mr. Tempeh man, I tried so hard to find your stall at leather street but I'm not sure when it is open. I am craving for your orek tempeh.

Love this place. Took me years to try it, now this is the only thing I eat from leather lane (and I'm not even veggie). Flavours are wonderful.

My favourite lunch spot! Every week I look forward to tempeh day on Thursday (and/)or Friday! Love the yellow Indonesian curry. Love that they offer soy yogurt as an option. Love that it’s homemade tempeh, fermented from Monday to Wednesday.

Best lunch on Leather Lane. It's £5.50 for a tempeh, which isn't cheap but it's quite good value by Leather Lane standards where most things are now £6+. Most importantly though, it tastes amazing and portion sizes are good. Shame you can only get it Thursday and Friday!

Every Tuesday this tempeh stall will be selling tempeh meal on the Leather Lane. When I was still working closeby, Tuesday was the Tempeh day for me and I always bought Lodeh Tempeh here. Lodeh is an Indonesian curryish meal which usually consists of vegetables and chicken but here in this stall, it's served vegetarian only (and vegan friendly too). The difficulty in cooking this dish is very high with the variety combination of spices, soup consistency, etc; and this stall really delivers. The owner of the store, Will, was very friendly as well and he can speak REALLY GOOD Indonesian!! One of the best food on Leather Lane if not the best (probably biased as I'm Indonesian). MUST TRY if you haven't already.

Simply delicious, authentic and excellent value for money! Only thing being I’d love to see more environmental / recyclable cutlery etc from street food vendors in general.

Authentic Indonesian tempe sold in the form of curries (one coconut milk based and the other is more tomato-ey), both so tasty! We bought fresh tempeh too from him and it honestly tastes 18292 better than supermarket tempeh. The stall is also always busy so you know the food is fresh!

The food is great, the taste very much similar to those Indonesian food. You can taste that the Tempeh is fresh and delicious. The owner is very humble.

I STILL DREAM ABOUT THESE CURRIES! I moved out of London 4 years ago and i'm now back in Farringdon but haven't seen this guy again yet. Really hope he's still going as some of the nicest tempeh i've ever had!
