I don't often leave negative reviews, particularly at the moment when hospitality is struggling so much, but had a very unsuccessful Sunday breakfast here in Feb '22. Food and drink both took ages, they were out of key ingredients and cutlery (they had no spoons), staff didn't seem particularly efficient, lukewarm food and watery Bloody Marys. Every table around us for the hour and half we were there had problems, particularly with wrong orders and cold food. They did remove the service charge and gave us an additional 20% discount when asked, but this was not automatically offered. By all accounts, they have just changed management, so hopefully these are just teething problems. It is a great building, well-located, with lots of fun memorabilia on the walls and the menu itself looked brilliant.

Some of the worst food I've had in a long time. Strongly recommend spending your hard earned ££ elsewhere with this one. I visited this place plenty of times before the new management/renovations. I enjoyed it back then; food was decent, great selection also (+ vegan options). After today's visit, I'm sincerely shocked with how far this restaurant has fallen. Every single part of the food experience had some kind of issue: - Dirty cutlery + glasses (we had food bits floating around in our drinks when they were served). - Rubbery and burnt eggs. - Pancakes so tough, chewy and dry that you could build a house with them. - Potatoes that were still raw on the inside. The only saving grace of this place is the pleasant staff. That's it. There are many alternatives to get a good brunch/breakfast in Camden Town (See Blues Kitchen, Mildred's, Haché). If you want a good time & good food, this place isn't it.

I recently dined at Camden Diner and had a delightful experience. I ordered their cheeky burger, accompanied by a side of curly fries and a refreshing coke. The meal was nothing short of delicious; the flavours were on point. What made this visit even more memorable was that it served as the perfect late-night stop after enjoying cocktails. The food helped soak up the evening's libations, leaving me feeling satisfied and content. The atmosphere at Camden Diner was exactly what I needed – chilled and relaxed, providing a comfortable setting for the late-night meal. The staff was attentive and made sure my dining experience was enjoyable. Overall, Camden Diner exceeded my expectations, and I would gladly return for another fantastic meal. Highly recommended for those seeking a tasty bite in a laid-back ambience with great service. Thank you Camden Diner

Came here on travel with my mother and we adored it. Sat outside and off the bat we had a very sweet and friendly waitress Mama. The other staff were very friendly as well. The drinks and the food that were suggested to be good did not disappoint at all! We got the sassy ciders which had us feeling pretty good and was delicious. The ramen chicken sandwich I was nervous about but Mama said it was actually really good and she was absolutely right. It’s a genius idea and the portion was perfect. We left there happy and full.

If you’re a fan of the American Diner experience this is a must do stop in Camden. It may not look too spectacular from the outside, but the inside has a good vibe and plenty of comfy booth seats to set the scene. Burgers, hot dogs, mac and cheese and all the other classics are there alongside some decadent milkshakes. There’s even an “if you can finish it in 30 minutes it’s free” monster meal on the menu! If I had any negative if that’s some staff are a bit glum, which jars badly against the traditional lively diner vibe. Thankfully most of the staff are awesome. If you found my review or photos helpful please leave a quick thumbs up 👍 Thank you!

I tried this American's dinner place in Camden, and it was pretty good! The service is very quick, and the food was delicious. They also have beers, but not a huge selection. The place has a nice vibe and cool atmosphere with some NBA games from the 90s on TV.

We had booked and on entrance we welcomed. It was calm & less busy for the time we booked but got busy as we left. The staff also accommodated our request to move seating. The staff were polite and professional. The service was quick. We both ordered The Hatch Chicken Burger with fries, the diner slaw to share & a milkshake each (Oreo & Snickers). The food/ drink was really good however a negative was that a 1/3 of the chicken in the burger wasn’t cooked and was raw. This was fedback to the staff, who was going let the chef know. Also, the communication between the staff could be improved, as a request was made to staff for more cutlery and we never received any until asking another member of staff, who provided us with it (and this was when the diner wasn’t busy at all). This was also the case when we highlighted the raw chicken in the burger, which we had to mention again when paying the bill. As a result, they deduct some money off the bill in view of this. Overall, a positive/ negative experience. Would come again and try other foods but will be make sure to check all is cooked well.

Do NOT go to this place expecting it to be "The Diner" as it once was, this is now Camden Diner and it couldn't be more different. It's probably worth noting that most of the 1,600+ reviews for this restaurant are mostly from when it was "The Diner" and not "Camden Diner" as it is now. The menu is essentially just burgers and nachos, they had ran out of chicken wings when we visited so paid £11 for some nachos with beef or pork (not sure which) but to be fair, they weren't too bad. I ordered a chicken burger, very clearly with no mayonnaise (I was told it didn't have mayo anyway) which then came out with mayonnaise... This was fortuitous really as what I was served was approximately a 6-8mm deep slice of grilled chicken breast that covered about half of the bun and cost £14, I took the mayo as opportunity to send the chicken burger back and order a normal beef burger which was fine. Then comes the bill, they had charged us for the chicken burger so naturally we queried it and had it taken off, a second bill arrived only £2 cheaper which is probably still more than I'd have paid for that sad excuse for a chicken burger. The third bill came out, slightly cheaper again, turns out they'd billed us for a second nachos which a friend had as an upgrade to his meal which should have been £4 rather than the £14 they had tried to charge. I gave the waitress the bill and asked why this one was wrong again but was met with indifference and confusion, so explained. A fourth bill finally came out that was almost right, I think we were still overcharged by a couple or few quid but had given up by that point. The service charge is also pre-included on the bill. Long story short, I won't be going back, I feel like they were purposefully trying to get us to pay for mistakes made by them and then adding it back to the bill (twice) when it was requested that it should be taken off. The food was acceptable but fairly expensive and there are much better burgers to be had in Camden, try Honest Burger by the market, it's reliable and good burgers and fries, they also do almost everything gluten free. I've attached a picture of the menu as it seems to be hard to find online. They've also gotten rid of the hard shakes that The Diner used to do.

Another great place to have breakfast and when I say breakfast I mean pancakes and syrup. I’ve also had Buffolo wings and blue cheese, sadly I have no photos, I ate them too quickly and forgot “whoops” This is a American style diner with a really nice atmosphere, really well decorated great pictures on the wall, really immersive feel to it when you are inside. Today was my third visit and I am pleased to say it has been consistently good. I love the staff at this place they are really hard working and professional. It really makes the food taste better if you are served by friendly faces and good attitude. I felt like a secret shopper on each visit knowing that I was at some point going to write a review. I think it’s only fair to shoutout the staff that served on each occasion and sometimes twice and each time they were consistently the same which thankfully was good. Don’t expect a cheap experience simply because of the location it’s in the middle of Camden so the prices reflect that, but the food is good and the service is good so it’s worth it. The building has a fantastic roof terrace also which adds to the experience. Outside they have loads of seating, today the outside was full so I sat inside which is just as good. They also have a fantastic range of drinks at the bar so you can eat and drink yourself to happiness. This place is located just off the main Camden high road just seconds away from all of the hustle and bustle but you can still feel the vibe of the crowds but you are just far enough away to relax. Anna has served me on several occasions and I must say she is great and a credit to this establishment “big up to Anna” and also I got great service from Nathalie who can be found most times behind the bar, she was great and was consistently great following several visits. This morning I was served by Angela who made sure I was ok, and that my food was good without being annoying which is always a plus. My experience at this place is very positive and I recommend it for a great American diner experience, let me know how your visit went. Hope you like the photos.

Visited Camden Diner with friends for dinner and had a very pleasant experience! The staff were very friendly and the wait for food was very short! Good selection for my vegetarian/vegan friends, however it would make things easier if there was the classic green 'V' indicating veggie meals on the menu. I got the chicken and waffles - the portion was huge! Very nice waffles, although the chicken was slightly dry and under seasoned. Would return!

Great service, tasty food and a brilliantly spicy bloody Mary, I can't ask for anything else. Malenka who was there every day, is great at her job and really made us feel welcome. Shout out to the guy in glasses who I didn't get a name for (sorry, glasses guy) for the excellent Bloody Mary mix.

Quick service, good food. Only the BBQ sauce on the chicken wings was way too hot for our daughter.

Comfortable atmosphere and good food. I specifically sought out the English Breakfast and was not disappointed. Friendly and attentive waitress. Affordable prices overall. It's also a nice place to go for tea with friends and have a chat. I recommend it.

Food was delicious, had the BBQ chicken wings to share and a hot dog (I totally ate too much) cocktails were tasty and well made, staff were friendly and attentive. Overall vibe was very cute and I would definitely recommend going.

The food was alright, it is not like going to an American dinner in terms of cost or taste. It was fine but forgetful, also pricey and small based on their chosen theme. However the staff were great, really nice and helpful. My main feedback for the restaurant is there is a overall smell of damp, that and the food means I probably wouldn't go back

The food was very tasty was dissapointed with service we asked if we could swap the mushrooms and tomatoes for a egg as on the menu it doesn’t state the amount of items you get the lady serving said no it will have to be extra which we agreed to and when the food came out there was two eggs on the plate and another plate with two eggs on which is a bit excessive and the bill it was £5 for two extra eggs which we only wanted one hopefully next time the server will let people know they would be getting 4 eggs. The diner is clean and the food is lovely would definitely be back again .

Had a breakfast hash. It was spicy and gorgeous. Couldn’t finish it. It filled me up from 11m till about 7pm. My friend had pancakes, i tried them and they were light and tasty.

This was a great find. From outside all looks pretty average but the quality of the food and the roof terrace make it special. The burgers were superb with a lovely slaw, just right gerkhin and fabulous, crispy, thin chips or fries as some people call them! Quick service currently from an app and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

This place was so cute!! Had such a good time. The server was so accommodating and understanding. Food was totally reminiscent of America and the cholula stole the show. Defo try the freak shakes!!

Chill morning, staff were helpful and attentive, english breakfast was great and the filter coffee really pleasant. Literally the only downer to it is the food being slightly cold when it came (dont know if the plate was cold or whatever) but literally apart from that spot on. Would recommend.

Tasty ribs, chips are alright. Big portions sizes but service is rather slow. Outdoor space is quite small and seats are uncomfortable.

Walked off the street and was given a table over lunchtime on a Sunday quickly. Ordered thick shake and selection of food between two. Shake was good, and all food was tasty and definitely not greasy…in particular wings and tater tots I enjoyed the most. Service was good…only downside was it’s very cold inside so wrap up warm.

The food was scrumptious, burgers tasted fresh and flavourful. The waffle fries were cooked perfectly, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Will definitely return here, especially for the prices as they are affordable!

Good service and food. The wings roulette was fantastic. The whole experience was let down by the overriding smell of a blocked sewer. We would have left if I didn’t have my autistic son with us as finding somewhere else for food would have been too disrupting for him. Couldn’t fault the staff but cannot recommend this place.

I ate here 4 months ago and still think about the food and rave about it to everyone. My mom and I were visiting from South Africa and in the week we were in London this was by far my favourite meal. I had the vegan mac n cheese and waffle fries. I've tried hundreds of vegan mac n cheeses, this was THE best, ever 😍 Staff was also super nice and the vibe was awesome

A nice place to sit in, right in the heart of Camden. Loved the decor, you could sit and read the wall signs for ages...if you're lucky enough to get a window seat you can watch the world go by outside too. Despite the pleasant atmosphere, one of the front-of-house staff was in a foul mood and managed to take it out on prospective customers (he rather abruptly turned away the family behind us) and his colleagues too, which I didn't appreciate one bit. Everyone should be spoken to with respect. However, his two colleagues were brilliant - friendly, helpful and polite. As a result, the 12.5% gratuity automatically added to the bill at the end stayed on, as we were dealt with equally by all three. The food itself was tasty but heavy on the salt. Overall, the menu selection was excellent and the food filled us up for the whole day, so although the meal was a little pricey it saved us from spending more later on. I wouldn't go again...but don't regret it either.

We visited yesterday (25/10). Camden diner is a nice little restaurant. Nice themed decor. They have a good amount of seating, indoors, outdoors, and they have a roof terrace available. Be careful not to sit down wind of the toilets, as they are very odorous... We had to ask for our orders to be taken.. but there was not a long wait for the food. The food was very good, clean plates all round. Very mixed review.

This is supposed to be an American diner. We went for breakfast. It was OK. The portions are not American sized, which is good if you're watching your weight. The milk shake was very good. The service was slow.
