Vapiano was nothing like what I’ve experienced today. It had a name, a certain ambience, good service, English speaking staff, clean tables, Ice in glasses and served pizza. This experience was a very big let down on this occasion. If I hadn’t sat down and spent 10 mins trying to figure out how to order via the phone, let alone the 15 minutes wait at the door, we would have certainly left. The pasta was good, the taste was there and the bread was fresh but again nothing like it used to be. I always appreciate peoples efforts and give credit for their hard-work. But management needs to sort this mess out.

Ordered a soup and pasta, and a glass of wine. The pasta comes before the soup or even the wine. Then I saw my bowl of soup sitting at the counter but none of the staff member bothered. Finally needed to tell one of the staffs that I believed that soup was mine. She checked and finally bought it over. It was not even hot or warm. The pasta is very ordinary. I can a better one than this. I remembered that they were much better years ago when I was living around the area. Would not come back again

Great food, poor service and unhelpful staff. Unfortunately the staff aren't aware how to operate their own procedures e.g. you can order from the table with a big big caveat of if their systems are working. They tried to reboot it a few times but we're left perplexed. Order repeatedly came out incorrectly, if only someone scribbled down what the patron asked for accurately ..

It's all about Italian cuisine and there is good-looking pizza, but the true focus is the pasta! Most yummy pasta I've ever had in any restaurant! The atmosphere is so good too - really social and vibrant, with such comfortable seating. Sadly, they are seriously lacking in customer service, relying on QR code (covid-era) type service and completely forgetting about your table and your orders.

We tried this branch The pasta is so basic even when u order it extra creamy it is still dry. Staff are helpful but the system is very stupid. You can not order desserts for take away, you MUST eat it in even if you are full ! Not encouraged to go again !

This place was 100% brilliant, the pasta is fresh and absolutely top notch, I would highly recommend loads of people to come here! It's brilliant! I love this place now, considering it was my first time as well. The only reason I'd say it wasnt 5 star was that the orders got slightly confused but I'll give it a 4.5 star and I'm sure it doesn't happen on a normal basis as mistakes do happen! Perfect for family and very nice staff that work here and are always happy to help It's also nice that you order on the app! In conclusion, highly recommend coming here as the pasta is wonderful, I haven't tried the pizza yet but I'm sure that's also brilliant! If you haven't gone here before, definitely check it out!

Great opportunity to make your own pasta to your liking. We found both dishes to be tasty, especially the vegetarian option of courgette spaghetti (pictures). Service was a tad slow and used plates we’re everywhere. Would return with friends. Their in-hour draft lager was tasty (5%)

I hope you guys understand that is 100% nothing about racism. But Vapiano is nothing the same as it was few years ago. No more Italian chefs, only Indians or Asians, the pasta don’t taste anything near of what it was. So disappointing

We had the chicken Alfredo, carbonara and bruschetta and I must say that the food wasn't too bad, but it was served cold. The food came after waitng for over 35 minutes and in different batches and there was four of us. The food was brought in and dropped on a certain table by different waiters (chatting over the food) The service was kinda clumsy. It was my first time here and I expected the food and service to be better. The online ordering isn't bad but waiter the waiter that brings the food from the kitchen should just serve a table. Will definitely be back to try your place out one more time.......fingers crossed

Inexpensive and fairly quick service; however, the pasta clumped together and wasn’t very tasty. Arrabiata sauce (£10) was decent and you can choose the level of heat, but the spaghetti was very over cooked. Dough bread spread sticks (£7) were good but the dipping sauces were not. Overall, it’s ok to go for dinner but I won’t choose pasta again. Will try pizza next time. Plenty of seatings on a Thursday night.

Hadn’t been to Vapi’s for ages and it was an awesome treat to be able to revisit a place that brought my my university experience memories back to life. The restaurant was buzzing and since covid it is now a table service whereas usually you queue up where the chefs would be making your food live infront of you, you couldn’t ask for Italian any fresher than this honestly!!!! My friend only eats halal meat so we had to double check it was and we had a lovely waiter come over and serve us his name was Saidi I hope l got that right but he was so patient and understanding and he helped us make our ordering experience very enjoyable. It was my colleagues first experience snd it nearly went south as her starter the cheesy garlic bread went well, it was ace but her main came slightly undercooked to begin with and l thought oh no she wasn’t going to love it as much as I did. They swiftly came over and took the meal back and brought over a fresh new serving for her. One of the ladies that took the food she wasn’t as warm as our main waiter but he did come back to rescue the day as they hadn’t given her Parmesan in her new serving which he ran over to do and we hadn’t been given our bread to go with my serving and he swiftly went and sorted that out too. I know I’ve remembered his name wrong but as a waiter he showed he was passionate about ensuring the customer experience is fulfilling and is an absolutely credit to the branch at Great Portland as it’s not everyone in retail who actually makes you feel their passion and care for you as a customer. My dish was luscious as l always have remembered it to be l always go for the Gambretti Spinachi with spaghetti and extra serving of prawns always and extra cream. I have never to this day tasted anything as good as Vapianos pasta and I am generally not a pasta fan at all. We had ours with a coke and Diet Coke with lemon each and by the time we finished l had to carry take away which they give you the signature Vapianos red and white container we couldn’t move honestly coz we were so full. By the time we left it was hectic and busy with a queue outside for people waiting to come in. Everyone needs to try Vapianos without a shadow of a doubt and if you like spinach and prawns you have to got to try Gambretti Spinachi

Great pasta dishes with the choice of making just the way you like it. The add ons can be a bit pricey though. I got the vegan chicken Alfredo, with extra vegan cheese on top, it was delicious and had plenty of vegan chicken pieces. I also got the bread sticks with the sauces, those were amazing as they were fresh out the oven, soft and warm in the inside and paired greatly with all the dips. It was very filling though so I can to take the rest home! The pizza was a chicken bbq pizza which was also nice but nothing too special.

First time visiting Vapiano, I had high expectations due to hearing about it online and through friends. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo with garlic oil and shared a cheesy garlic bread with my friend. The pasta was nice I didn’t get much garlic from the dish but it wasn’t a big deal. Atmosphere was very loud as it was a Saturday afternoon, I would visit again but probably at a different branch and a different time of day.

We ordered pastas and pizza the other day and boy oh boy, it was good! The pasta that i love the most is the holiday special pasta (couldnt remember the name). Great food with great vibe. Very near to the subway (behind nike town) love it so much! 🫶🏻

Great affordable pasta dishes and a chance to make your own choices for pasta and toppings! This is very filling and we underestimated the garlic bread and bread sticks. We had to wait a while upon arrival but is really first come first serve basis. You get to choose where you sit and you order via the website for sit in and everything comes to you. For water you can request for this by the bar if need be. Would deffo return for that quick easy lunch/dinner for a hearty portion.

Very cool fast food pasta! They have a student discount (20%) which is very appealing to me, a poor uni kid! Tes helped us and took our bill separately which was very kind and gave us recommendations. I really enjoyed my food!

Absolutely loved my first visit. Lovely lunch vibe and I imagine would be good in evenings to. Food came in less than 10 mins after ordering on the app/website. Love the customisation aspect of it. Food was very very nice and large portions for both the pasta and pizza, and even kids pizza (shaped like a bunny for Easter- cute). They also do 20% off for nhs staff, you just show your card and ask for discount code which you put in before paying. Garlic bread with cheese was so delicious!!! Will certainly recommend and visit again!

The best Pasta I’ve ever had was from Vapiano. My husband rated it so high that I couldn’t wait to try it and say “Vapiano is overrated”! My conclusion: Vapiano is worth the hype! Our order took a while to prepare but was definitely worth the wait! Restaurant was clean and waiters/waitresses offered great service. We had the option to create our own menu because meals can be customized to your taste/preference. Chefs can also be seen preparing every meal from scratch. Will definitely go back!

I think the picture speaks for itself but the food was amazing! Especially the chicken BBQ pizza. The service was also amazing. The waiter was so nice and made us feel welcomed. The food took longer to get to us but that’s to be expected everywhere. They had a lot of customers and the place was buzzing with people. It’s still a 10/10 location with good food & people.

Decent service, came pretty quick and had delicious pizza for a reasonable price. It can be a little pricey in some areas, however it’s expected when you eat out in Central London. The restaurant was clean as we entered and definitely seemed like somewhere where I would like to come again. However, I would prefer normal waiter-to table ordering rather than having it on phones since it can cause a bit of faff especially when the app doesn’t work the way you want it to.

Upon entering the establishment, I was greeted by a very kind girl who helped me with the best menu recommendations, detailed the ingredients, popularity of each dish, as well as offering me bread, as well as helping me place my order. It was a great experience as it was my first time coming to this restaurant. The girl made everything so much easier and fun for me (named Maria) I will definitely be back more often

Absolute favourite of ours. We love the food and the fact that you can customise your pasta. We ordered a kids meal for the first time, a pizza and the pizza came in bunny shape. The pizza is quite big for a kiddies meal, it was good. I would recommend Vapiano to everyone.

Came here for dinner the other day, slight queue outside, depending on the size of your party. The process to order food is quite simple, you are able to customise your order to a great extent. The food itself was good, the chefs really put the work in. The place itself it’s quite crowded, and very loud, not a lot of room between people, and they don’t have the most spacious tables or comfortable seats, hence why the 4 stars.

Went here with my boyfriend for a nice dinner as I’ve been to other branches. We ordered the chicken Alfredo and the vegan chicken Alfredo and asked for them to be mild in heat (chillies), nothing about the dish was mild, I kid you not, we each had one single chilli piece in our entire dish. We ordered two mocktails that were advertised with fresh fruit and ended up having to ask the waiters (who weren’t very attentive at all given the small amount of tasks they had to as everything was through a QR code) to add some. They brought us a single strawberry chopped into four. Very very very disappointed with this entire experience.
