I can't believe all the negative reviews here. People think they can pay £50 a night for a B&B and get Ritz-level service. This place was excellent, provided everything I needed and the most amazing English breakfast. It's family-run and they're lovely and very generous: they told us to take as much juice/coffee/toast as we wanted. This is far better than the ghastly Greene King/Travelodge hotels I've been in that cost a lot more. Totally recommended.

Cheap and cheerful, very close to the dome and forum, so used this place as a stop over for a festival. Did the job and got breakfast in the morning. The price was good considering where it's located. There are tons of bars and restaurants nearby.

Awful place. Run down, dirty tiny room. Not even the basic amenities. We were robbed just around the corner, all valubles taken including key to hotel which they then wanted to charge us for. Very unhelpful staff who completely lacked compassion. Would not stay here again

Didn't get a great night's sleep due to other visitors slamming doors until early hours of the morning. The bed wasn't very comfortable. I had the room next to the kitchen so I was woken up early. Nice basic breakfast - staff were lovely though

Great place in a very quiet area just a few tube stops to central London. Great service, breakfast and laundry. Kudos to Ramona and her husband for making me feel like home here! Yancho, solo business and leisure traveller

If you are funky, and like to make a mess, this place isn’t for you. The Charlie Hotel is a perfect place for visiting Los Angeles. Super clean and cozy. The Location get you anywhere easily. They have a great protected parking area. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The suites are vintage with great amenities, including a wonderful bed. It’s high rating is well deserved.

Good for a one night stay. Accomodation: We had a small room with two single beds with an ensuite shower, toilet, and sink. We were given towels, shower gel, and soap. The bedroom had a TV, table, and chairs. Free WiFi works around the hotel. Breakfast: Full English, toast and hot drink. Staff: The staff were very friendly and on request gave us a free drink of coffee and cartoon of orange juice. They leant me a hair dryer. Parking: Car parking onsite hidden around the side of the building. We were able to park for free. Location: Tube is a 10 minute walk for Tuffnell Park. One stop to Camden Town. Recommendations: Tea and coffee in the rooms. The sink was missing a plug.

This hotel is very nice and cosy the service is excellent especially the cleaner Ramona she was helping us with our needs and the cleaning and service she does is fabulous. But I did not like the housekeeper because she did not speak English and was very arrogant. For £170 the service is really nice.

Had an overnight stay at this place to go to a gig at Finsbury Park. Hotel does match the description so no surprises which is good. Room was basic but clean bedding and towels and my own toilet and shower so no complaints. Host was friendly and helpful. Location is excellent for Finsbury Park, was able to walk home from the gig and get a kebab on the way so happy days! Also I had safe parking for my motorbike on site, so all in all very happy with my stay.

Decent hotel, very basic but fine for short stays. The location is great and the service was good as well. Rooms were very clean but definitely need to be refurbished. If your looking for a quick and cheap place to stay with links to central London and Camden, this isn't a bad option.

This Hotel is very much perfect for most of central London for people on a budget. If you're looking for the Ritz look elsewhere. For 60 pound you're about 10 mins from Tufnell Park Tube Station where you can access greater London in a 10-20 min tube ride. We walked home in nice weather in about 40 mins from Oxford Circus. The rooms are small and old like most of the houses in London. The rooms are clean and decent for your stay. The showers are small.... if you want a large Loo reserve a room at the Hilton for 240 pound a night. The Breakfast was Very Good and there was plenty of it... you could ask for seconds on bread, juice, coffee. The people were very accomodating. Again, as has been stated in other reviews, the main problem with the negative reviewers is that expect a 200 pound hotel for 60 pound. Their expectations are unrealistic. I can afford the expensive hotels, but if I am just passing through for a day or two and not going to be around the hotel I have stayed here and it is thoroughly fine. They even had a nice reading lamp. Good value for your money.

Horrific place to stay - as a Londoner who needed a place to stay after a night out, this was shockingly bad. When I walked in, it seemed okay. I wasn’t phased by having a small room. What really bothered me was how the bedsheets smelt of someone else’s sweat and mould combined. The hot water didn’t work so having a shower was a mission and for my friend, his flush didn’t work. Luckily we could grin and bare it for the night but I’d honestly pay extra to get a better place. Even then what we paid for, we didn’t even get basic amenities.

Avoid. Rooms are horrific. I had a tiny room in a basemnt with a dirty carpet, bedding with blood stains, bathroom with mould, damp smell of over the corridor and rooms. Plus bed bugs in bed. Didn't stay overnight. I am the last one to write a bad review but this place is beyond bad. Great location but nothing else. Do not recommend.

Just a stones throw from the O2 Forum, this hotel is ideal if you're going to see a concert at the venue. The beds are comfortable although I think the radiator was broken in our room. The bathroom is very small with barely any space and there was mold on the wall. When you turn on the tap it smells bad. But for the price it's good value and absolutely good for a night.

How on earth can a guest got shouted at as soon as a big lady staff opened the door at about 9 pm. We was frozen and didn’t know what’s wrong with her. In the morning, when we had breakfast, the staff put dishes strongly on the table. The room was old, dirty and smelly.

Disappointing. Wasn't expecting a Palace for the 1 night price we paid for but walked in and instantly hit with the smell of grease. Laundry bags lined the corridor. No great customer service upon arrival, just very blunt and brief. Walked to the room and was blown away. And not in a good way! Worse than basic. Booking said ensuite but it was a tiny room that was about as big as a pub toilet cubicle. Clean 'ensuite' but grout dirty and mouldy in the shower which we didn't use. Room was honestly terrible. Tiny, dark, dingy, carpet was so poor afraid to walk in bare feet. Pillows were dirty duvets folded up so not even proper pillows. Positives: clean bedding (other than pillows), clean towels, soap and shampoo provided. Also free parking. Didn't put the TV on. Other half walked round the back and it was derelict! Checkout was worse than checkin. Walked out of my room to be met by a member of staff who just held out her hand and said "keys". At least she smiled and ran my hair clip i had left in the room out to me as we were leaving. Would not recommend. Very unfortunate as it could be so much better!

Wasn’t expecting much for the price. There is an unpleasant smell in the hallway. They changed check out time from 11am to 10am. Apparently they serve breakfast till 0930 on Sunday. We rolled in at 0915, there clock said 0925, they were very rude saying we were to late for breakfast. In fairness they did say they would do our breakfast but we just wanted to get out of there. Oh and if your on the ground floor it gets very noisy from about 0730am

Lovely, clean and private rooms. May be called basic, but still provided us with a welcoming and calm atmosphere after coming back from a long day of exploring. Definitely recommend!

It was ok ,the window was very close to the ground outside so seemed unsafe to leave open and the beds were very dirty underneath the covers ,but all bedding was clean . The bathroom was tiny ,so was the room and the hotel was pretty run down as a whole ,with paint peeling off ,carpets broken and mold in the bathrooms .However not too bad for the cheap price and breakfast was ok and staff were very nice ; I was just disappointed that I had to stay here for 3 nights when I barely wanted to stay 1 night .

Basic rooms could do with a lick of paint. Customer service was great, because we had a wheelchair the owner showed us where we could enter and exit without using the stairs. Breakfast was fab. Within walking distance of the tube.

Friendly, family run b&b and really nice staff there to welcome me when I checked in late at 10pm and excellent breakfast in the morning with smiles and great coffee. Room was small and basic but the bed was comfortable and the sheets were freshly laundered. With it being just 15 minutes walk from the tube, it was just right and their friendliness clinched it for me. I'll stay again.

Exactly what it says on the tin. We just stayed here and it deserves more than 2 stars. Yes it's basic but the service is great, very friendly staff, check in was simple and was given keys, able to come and go as you please with no curfew. Very cheap for London, with free parking! considering the Holiday Inn in Camden town up the road is £350 a night! Breakfast included, was offered an English breakfast, omlettes, toast with jam / honey, tea and coffee and fresh juice. Just a 10 minute walk from Tufnell Park tube station. Perfectly safe area, the missus and I stumbled back from a concert eating kebab at midnight and saw almost no one. Would recommend.
