It's
kind
of
late
to
write
a
review
when
I
had
stayed
in
the
hotel
(if
at
all
I
can
call
it)
from
21-26
June
2016
during
my
first
solo
trip
to
London
to
present
a
paper
in
a
conference.
The
experience
of
staying
in
the
hotel
was
awful
for
several
reasons.
1.
I
booked
my
reservation
for
5
nights
before
my
travel
through
Expedia
and
got
a
cancellation
email
while
I
was
on
my
way
to
the
airport.
I
panicked.
I
called
up
the
hotel
desk
and
they
said
they
would
give
me
the
exact
room
with
the
same
price.
I
realised
much
later
that
they
didn't
want
to
give
commission
to
Expedia
at
the
cost
of
causing
inconvenience
to
the
client.
2.
My
Credit
card
didn't
work.
I
requested
for
a
fund
transfer
to
their
bank
account.
Since
I
was
busy
with
my
conference
for
the
next
two
days,
I
requested
for
some
time.
But
the
staff,
specifically
a
man
in
his
thirties,
in
the
middle
of
the
night
almost
manhandled
me,
denied
me
access
to
my
room,
asked
me
to
submit
my
passport
and
some
cash
in
order
to
continue
with
the
service.
I
was
dead
scared.
I
could
not
sleep
at
all.
I
called
a
new
found
friend,
herself
a
student
in
one
of
the
universities
and
borrowed
486
GBP
cash.
I
came
back
to
the
hotel,
gave
them
all
the
cash,
retrieve
y
passport
and
cash.
And
promised
to
myself
to
never
come
back
to
the
hotel.
3.
The
room,
shower,
everything
was
tiny
and
inconvenient.
I
was
late
by
5
minutes
and
I
missed
my
breakfast
both
days.
The
man
who
almost
manhandled
me
for
the
delay
in
payment
when
I
had
sought
their
approval
and
was
supposed
to
stay
two
more
days
seemed
drunk
and
neurotic.
I
still
remember
his
big
red
eyes
when
he
screamed
at
me
in
the
middle
of
the
night.
it
was
traumatic.
He
knew
that
I
was
travelling
from
India
alone
for
the
first
time
to
London
and
don't
have
friends
or
acquaintance
there.
I
suggest
everyone
not
to
stay
in
this
tiny
shabby
and
unsafe
hotel.
Rather
pay
a
little
extra
and
enjoy
your
stay.
