Words can’t describe but I’ll try. I slept the night with my clothes on. Somebody definately had some good wood there before us that’s for sure. There was white dried spots on the red curtains. And everything was so dusty and dirty. Not to mention the steep stairs. Will never return or recommend.

Tiny rooms. No mirrors in rooms, toilets or shower. Shower was only extremely hot or ice cold. One part was loose. Door to shower had the lock outside (!) and toilet had a plank as the door, that was hard to move. But most importantly, there was some kind of pump in the wall that begann to work randomly and was so loud, that it was impossible to sleep. My recommendation: save the money, get drunk, sleep on the streets.

Sadly the pictures advertised are not what you find when you arrive. The rooms that have previously been refurbished were clearly nice back then but have not been looked after and the result is very poor now. The mirror was missing, lamp shades damaged and dirty, drink splashed up the walls, plaster missing from parts of the wall. Our bathroom was from the 1950s and again poorly maintained. The mattress was cheap and lumpy. Despite paying for 2 nights we opted to pay for a different Hotel. There are much nicer hotels in the area for the same money.

We got tiny room with 3 separate beds. Everything was clean and worked as expected. TV remote was missing, maybe should have asked. Bathroom was miniature not for large person. One clerk was very nice. Exchanged our towels when asked. Another guy requested deposit for room keys which we lost because we had to leave very early in the morning. The location is not bad. Because of London traffic Uber or Taxi would take somewhere between 30 - 40 minutes to get to centre. Do not get room facing the street. It is very loud at night .

I want expecting anything over the top because I was aware it was a budget hotel. Staff were friendly and tried to be as helpful as could be. Room was OK, if all youre looking for is a place to stay for a couple of days. Wasn't quite happy about some stuff The check in process required Filling of a form with details of your passport and travel info. I declined to give those personal details I booked a double room ensuite, but was quickly disappointed as the shower pressure was so low, it was barely a trickle. One of the staff I approached apologized profusely, stating it was being fixed upstairs, and to give it time. It never worked properly. They suggested I use the communal shower, which I declined, because that's not what I wanted when I booked. Bathroom itself was quite small, and toilet sometimes had to be flushed severally to get it to function. Would have given the place 2 stars, if not for the above. Oh and the pictures are mostly different from the actual place.

If you want cheap accommodation, you will get cheap accommodation. We were satisfied although the rooms could be cleaner. There was a kettle and free coffee and tea in the room. The advantage is a good location in the center of London and close to all the main sights. And yes the WiFi is unfortunately really bad. Otherwise I was satisfied and will come back sometime.

Location was fine enough but the manager is unfriendly and rude. Be aware he will tell you someone is at reception 24/7 to recover your key deposit but this is a lie. Other staff informed us there is no one there early in the morning and we discovered this when we left. Bathroom was barely passable, and room was small. Book any other room along this street full of 2 and 3 star hotels, to avoid this manager who unfortunately does not like his job and takes it out on his guests and staff.

Very disappointing, TV not working, couldn't get hot water in the morning to have a bath, a noisy pumping machine was on all night and making it difficult for me to sleep. Staff experience is zero.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We was booked to stay 1 night on the 8th August 2023 and when we was showed our room it was vile!! The room was downstairs, it was unclean, small and not acceptable! The bed had staines on, there was cobwebs everywhere, the bathroom was tiny and dirty, the pillow was tiny and thin and the TV did not work! It was Vile! Please do not stay here even if it was for one night! We did not end up staying at this hotel due to how vile it was. I don't care how cheap the price is please do not stay here! The rooms online are not the real rooms at the hotel, they are fake photos !! If I could give this a zero star rating I would! Please do not stay here!! It is also very far away from central London, there are no restaurants or attractions near by.

Cancelled my booking at the hotel within 10 mins of arriving. Photos of the rooms are very misleading The mattress is of terrible quality, I lay on the bed and sunk straight onto the bed frame below The shared bathroom looked like what you would see in a student house The staff member on overnight was unhelpful and lacked simple hygiene, the body odour was quite overpowering

Nothing to compare with the pics online. No light and at sink in the room and no wifi, no way to stores the bags after check out. The locks of the room doors seem to br open by the wind. Walls are thin so.everybody hears everything all the time

Noone should stay here. Take all these reviews seriously, do not stay there. The paper walls, the broken door lock, the message that hotel doesn't take resposibiliy of items left in locked room, the "private bathroom" means that it's located on the same floor with your room. Ordered with higher rate to have a bit better budget room, actually were located on basement, trains ride literaly above every 5 minutes, bathroom in "private use" and party all night long next to your basement window and people walking back and force next to you room. Never, never again. Zero stars. Please, do not stay there, you won't be able to sleep anyway. Oh, and wifi is not working. Basically there is no wifi.

This is the kind of place that If you are ok with very simple standard for a night or two you might find it ok. But it’s old and worn, narrow steep stairs and the rooms are small and do only serve the most basics needs as sleep, charging your phone and maybe a shower. This is if you can stand a little street noise and the thin walls. There is plenty of power outlets (!) and a small tv. No shampoo or dryer, but hand soap and soap bars. The shower head in room 18 was obviously old and covered in chalk or something - and this is where I went from being just ok to not liking it too good. Because a small hotel with small rooms is hard to do anything about. But shower heads can, and should be replaced and repaired (mine was broken too). It would have been such a cheap upgrade to this room that actually has its own bathroom. But it wasn’t very clean either, which tells me that with some love and care this could have been the 2 star hotel it says it is. But for now I experienced an unloved place that just barely covered my needs for the one night - as I was going to a conference nearby.

Locationwise this hotel is great, close to tube and pubs & restaurants and some minor shops, but in overall when it comes to typical British staircases it's a living hell if you're carrying big luggage. The room itself is in decent size, and only the top three (3) rooms have ensuite, the others use shared bathrooms. Bed was a bit uncomfortable, but manageable to sleep on since the room had a tv which made me sleepy quite quickly. The staff were great, polite and very chatty. For the price, I do recommend this hotel for all visitors.

STAY AWAY! This place looks nothing like the pictures, it was dirty and smelly, and worst of all the staff/owner were incredibly rude. You also couldn’t leave your bag there and when i arrived early to ask I was met by a very passive aggressive owner. It was that bad that my partner and I left and paid for another hotel elsewhere and just incurred the cancellation fee of £100, it was seriously wasting £100 to not stay there, wish I had read the reviews beforehand!

We stayed in room 21 tonight, and it served it’s purpose well! Clean room with functioning shower and bathroom, did not hear anything of other guests. Bed was comfortable and man in reception friendly. Thanks!

we were in a small but sturdy room. Everything is very narrow, but otherwise enough if you don’t want to spend the whole day on your hotel. There were at least 3 shared bathrooms, which were not in the best condition, but they were okay.

Huoneen oven sai onneksi lukkoon. Huoneessa ei ollut jääkaappia tai mikroa. Ahtaat pienet käytävät. Sijainti on erinomainen lähellä Eustonin ja King's Crossin asemia, wifi ok. Epämääräinen hotelli.

Stuff changed their mind and counted me full price even that we spoke that for extended days there will be less. So when I've been in two people they took 60 pounds per night and later as I was alone they also wanted 60 pounds. Scammer nothing more to say. Moreover in the room my bed was broken, heat wasn't on every night. I would never recommend such place!!!

Not even worth 1 star. Rooms are falsely advertised. Dirty, shared bathroom, way way way over priced! Look elsewhere! Don’t waste a single Penny staying here

  • 1/5 Valarie 9 months ago on Google
This was the WORST place I have ever stayed. The pictures they have online are nowhere close to what they truly are! The bathrooms are as SMALL as a closet, and you have to step UP to get in them. AWFUL!!!

if you want cheap accommodation near the city center, for approximately the same price as shared rooms in hostels. this is it. separate room, nice staff. everything great. if you want luxury, pay for it.

Room was clean and spacious but the toilet aria was like a caravan, small but clean and light flickered in bathroom. Staff very friendly would recommend it as close to the Eurostar

It’s one of them, it’s cheap for location but it’s an absolute dive and the manager is very rude. Turned up at 2pm and door was shut so as any normal human would do you try and open it and was then buzzed in but then was greeted by “don’t try and open the door”. Then was told you have to put down a £10 deposit for the key and it has to be cash. After that nonsense got to the room and it hadn’t been cleaned, obviously went down and said and was questioned like I was lying. I rarely write reviews but don’t want someone going for a nice weekend in London and staying here only stay here if you’re desperate for something cheap and won’t be in room much.

You should do yourselves a favour and don’t stay at this hotel. Possibly the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The rooms were tiny, the room we were put into didn’t even fit us and our suitcases, they didn’t even have the basics, the bathroom was not a normal bathroom, it was a smelly shower with a toilet, and of course they charged us extra to change rooms. The second room’s door could not even close properly, it was covered in mould and we found a warm at the floor of the bathroom.

Don't trust these pictures, they downloaded some pictures from google, it's not realistic. The rooms are tiny, and not very clean. The toilet and the 'bathroom' is very dirty. The wifi is unusable. Never go to this hotel.

Awful place! Doesn’t resemble the pictures at all. The bathroom reminded me of a outdated sailboat bathroom. The man in the reception also tried to rip us off with doubled prices. We stated that we checked at it was way cheaper and ordered through a website instead while standing there. Then he said we had to pay again because he didn’t get the money. I had to show the transactions and comfirmations emails as he was firm that we had to pay again. Horrible service and way of treating guests. We left early in the morning skipping breakfast, I don’t wanna know the quality of it. Definately not going back!

The picture are really out of date, this hotel is truly awful. It was cold, noisey and nit particularly clean

  • 4/5 Chryssula K. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms are a bit dated but otherwise a great budget hotel. Rooms are clean but very simple and equipment is essential. Service however is very good. Definitely coming back.

Honestly don’t people except from this place but for me it was good. Yes it isn’t small and you don’t have your own bathroom but this hotel is not maximum comfort IT IS CHEAP. That why u booked room in this hotel. It is perfect place if u want room just for sleep with normal price.

Ideal location, amazing friendly staff, clean rooms and bathrooms, couldn't fault it in the slightest. Really really lovely place to stay. Would highly recommend.

Do not believe the photos. Shabby, tv didn’t work, no lamps, no shade on the light in the room, no blanket in the place, hugely overpriced.
