For me the best at Gower Street! Got a warm welcome and a room-upgrade, they offer nice continental breakfast with fresh fruits and vegetables, free WiFi, bath en suite. It's a 3* hotel, very central located with tube station right around the corner. It's perfect for a short stay at good price. I travelled alone and felt very safe and fine. The staff was very friendly and helpful, I enjoyed staying there and will return for sure.

A neat, tidy, and clean establishment in a typical historical building. Rooms and bathrooms are on the small side, however, the central location without being too loud absolutely beats it. Hands down the best breakfast I have eaten in a hotel of this price range. Very friendly staff. Would gladly come again.

Staff was nice but room really small, generally a very conjested hotel, with closed space smells all over. Only cold breakfast not a single item was hot. Location very nice but really not recommended for business, work or study visits

I would never stay here again due to the genuine risk to life. I locked my door in the evening and it would not open when I went to go to breaksfast. The lock had broken and trapped me in my room. You can tell there is a general lack of impetuous around maintaining the property and it is not well cared for, but to let locks get to the point where they do not open while you are inside is beyond unacceptable. Window latch broken, skirting board broken, teleophone broken, hairdryer broken, window bulging, window mouldy to name a few issues. Said they would contact me to arrange a refund but this did not happen.

Osin vastasi, hiukan levoton oli katutasossa 25-29.5.2023. Varhaiseen aamiaiseen ei otettu mitään kantaa pois lähtöä edeltävä iltapäivänä. Haluttua taxifirman kyytiä vaikea saada. piti itse hommata kun oli klo.6,00 am lähtö lentikentälle Heathrow. Didn't quite deliver what he promised, was a bit restless at street level 25-29 May 2023. No decision was made about the early breakfast the afternoon before departure. Hard to get a ride from the taxi company you want. I had to do it myself when it was time to leave for Heathrow airport at 6.00 am.

The staff was helping us and they were very kind & friendly. The only bad thing was the room, it was too small and not super super clean. The hotel is in a good location though. The recommandation I can give is trying to clean a little more the rooms. Overall, we had a nice experience with my friend :)

Great location, However that's were the positives end. I have probably stayed in over 200 hotels in this country, and its fair to say asking the receptionist if they could book a taxi is fairly standard. So, on this occasion I asked if the male receptionist could book us a taxi to Kings Cross for 6:30 am. Taxi arrives and takes us to Kings Cross which is around 0.7 miles away and because of very little traffic this took us less than 5 minutes. However, the driver attempted to charge us £30, which after a roadside argument it transpires that when the hotel books a taxi it is him that decides how much the customer is to be charged and he then receives a third cut from the taxi driver. Just a blatant attempt to con tourists / guests. To be honest I am unsure whether this was indeed a taxi driver or simply just a friend of the receptionist. As, the driver turned up in a car without any tax badge or decals on it and the car its self was a small run around car with no taxi fare meter.

Clean, basic rooms in a great central location st a reasonable price for London, I would probably give it 3.5 stars rather than four if possible. The location is perfect with most central areas within walking distance & the underground only a few minutes walk away. The room price includes breakfast (with a variety of items available) which is an added bonus. I found the hotel and surrounding area fairly quiet at night despite the central location, and the rooms at the rear of the property have minimal traffic noise. The only negatives were the room size (which was expected), the bed is very narrow & bathroom can be difficult to manoeuvre in. However, I would probably stay here again, and if you just want a basic no frills hotel this is perfectly suitable for a couple of nights.

Staff were excellent but rooms weren't great. Windows were very dirty, shower didn't close properly and the table was tiny

Served a purpose, wasn't overly clean or fancy. Quite noisy in the room we stayed floorboards very loud and creaky for £54 for 2 people including breakfast. What more can you ask for. It was a place to sleep and shower. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was really good. Just needs a refresh and some investment to upgrade rooms.

Nice location, okay rooms, included breakfast which was good. Easy walk to UCL, British Museum, Oxford, Kings Cross

Key travel recommended. I do not think they know what they are talking about.... Not a 3 star hotel, at most 2 star. No bedside light and even the ceiling lights (both in the bathroom and tiny room) are barely illuminating anything. Breakfast only up to 9:30, with some options for typical English, but 9:31 you are out of luck. Windows basically broken and if you are on the road side not really good.

Extremely small rooms for 3 people. Effectively, you have nowhere to drive. Lack of luggage storage space for 3 people. The cleanliness can be improved. the staff very kind and helpful.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Cavendish. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room and bathroom were clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty with a good variety. The Hotel is in a great location. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Cavendish again.

Pleasant stay :) The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was lovely. The bathroom tiles were slightly broken, the hairdryer had a small hole and the window didn’t open much. However these are small complaints and considering the location I think it’s all reflected in the price. All in all I think some of these reviews may be a tad harsh and if you’re looking for a short stay that’s not too expensive than it’s ideal. Would stay again.

Good location. Friendly staff. Home made breakfast served very efficiently. Yes, this place is *slightly* down at heal but it is a fantastic Georgian house. And in this price bracket I really don't think you can do any better. No hesitation in going back again next time we need to back to London.
