Pretty nice. the location is good, close to the tube station and with the excellent logistics of London it's easy to get anywhere. The superior room facing the street we stayed was fine, the breakfast already included is a simple but good English Breakfast, being very close to the kitchen leaves the smell of frying in the clothes and hair, this can be improved. We had no difficulty in leaving luggage at reception and very close to the hotel has laundry, post office, Tesla supermarket and the best ... A Patisserie Valerie!

Never have I stayed in a place as dirty as this before. Thick dirt on the walls in the room which clearly hadn't been cleaned for years. Scary sights under the furniture also. The bedsheets hadn't even been washed. They smelt like stale smoke and body odour. There was a hole on the sheets with ash in it from where someone had been smoking in the bed before we stayed there. The toilet hadn't been cleaned with a toilet brush either. In the morning we didn't dare to touch the dirty curtains to let the sun in. Also, we didn't even think about having a shower so I can't comment on that, it is because we couldn't of gotten out quick enough.

This is not the Ritz, and that's okay because it doesn't charge like it. Stayed June 2019 and the bed wasn't great, but it was clean and we were tired enough from our sightseeing that it didn't matter. The breakfast was actually a great start to the day as it fills you up nicely as long as you enjoy traditional English breakfast (which we definitely did). Great location for the price, and pretty good condition for the age of the building. Don't go in expecting a fancy, modern room and you should be pleased.

February 2019. Accommodation is awful. The photos on the website must be very old. The sheets were clean but the beds were old and you could feel every spring. The room had moldy patches and stains. I didn’t remove my socks so my feet wouldn’t touch the flooring. The bathroom decor was moldy, the curtain shower was moldy so therefore we didn’t attempt to use the shower. Throughout the night there was a constant beeping noise in the corridor which wasn’t dealt with all night/morning (battery for smoke alarm or something?). We left after the first night, even though we knew it was non refundable and went and paid for another hotel around the corner. On a positive, the staff were nice and obviously making the best of what they had to work with, we don’t like confrontation and just told the receptionist that we were leaving, however when we were asked why, we were honest and the receptionist was very apologetic and let us keep our car there free of charge.

Good for the price. We stayed for 5 nights the staff was friendly and the room had more then what I expected from a hostel like TV and fridge in the room. Our room was clean good place if you're just passing through or just need a place to sleep. the rooms are on the small side and a minor issue with the bathroom light but over all it was good for what we needed. There is a 24 store (Tesco Express) and south eastern restaurants all in walking distance

It's honestly over rating this hotel to give it a single star, in fact it's really over rating the establishment to call it a hotel, it's more of a hostel. I estimate that this place was last refurbished in the 1960s, so it's very dated, worn and scruffy. It's not clean, although the bed linen was clean. The bed, which was supposed to be a double, was really just a large single, the double room is so cramped it's difficult to two people to move around and get ready. The staff are not helpful, it took them three attempts to find me a suitable double room, they offered no help on their cramped stairs (there's no lift) with my large heavy bag. The exception is the nice lady who serves the full English. The rooms are noisy, when your neighbors get up you'll be disturbed by creaky floorboards and there's zero sound proofing against a very noisy district. I don't recommend this hotel, it's cheap, but not cheap enough, take my advice and pay a bit more for some real comfort and a proper hotel.

I checked into the Ventures Hotel with low expectations, however I was still let down. While I wasn't expecting anything modern, I was still disapointed by the room. The bathroom desperately needed a deep clean, the grout was very dirty, some tiles were cracked and the toilet wasn't even flushed when I came. I was also unable to control the temperature in the shower, it was either scalding hot or freezing cold. The rooms were stuffy and had an unpleasant odor, we had to leave the windows open often. The floors were very creaky so it was impossible to be quiet. There is also no lift so be ready to climb those stairs with all of your luggage. The wifi connection was weak which was annoying due to the fact that I had to pay for it (and they only took cash). Lastly when we checked out we were told we could leave our bags with them, only to have them being left in reception. I did not feel safe leaving my valuable things there. Overall very disappointing and not worth the price. I have been to hostels nicer than this.

Excellent hotel if you're looking for an affordable place to stay near the centre. Breakfast is included and is possibly one lf the best things of the hotel apart from the price. They also keep your luggage the last day for free if you want to visit something before going to the airport. I stayed for 5 nights and felt nicely treated by the staff as well. If I had to mention any negative aspects it'd be that it could be a bit cleaner and better looked after.

The building is very old and dilapidated, in our bathroom's corners which was at the most 3m² tall, was mold. The bed rotted and it stank very badly. The breakfast was terrible. The cutlery was dirty, but the waitress was friendly. If you want a nice stay, don't book this hotel!
