Lets say this is probably one of the more interesting rooms I've stayed in. Staff were friendly, the place was clean. It's not a premier Inn.... shower room was functional, we were in the attic which was a tad warm in the summer. No bar, no breakfast but plenty of that to choose from on the doorstep. Great location for Paddington and the tube. I'd recommend it. I need to go back, even if only to experience one of the other rooms on offer...

The worst experience ever, just awful. DO NOT STAY HERE. I travel with work and stay at hotels all the time and this was an unacceptable experience. Not for the facilities, but because of the treatment i received. Their customer services is incredibly inconsiderate. I booked Pavilion Hotel and when i arrived the door had a sign to go to a next doors hotels where I was told that my room will be at that hotel. As i had a long journey after work, that did not bother me at all. However, the issue was when there was time to pay for the room. They wanted me to pay online when I had selected to pay upon arrival and they were asking me to pay by cash instead and they were not accepting apple pay either. There was a lot of back and fourth and at the end the person that handles the Pavilion hotel arrived and took me to the other building to pay. While i was explaining to him that this is very inconvenient and quite terrible customer service, he raised the voice and told me "you are being rude and we have the right to request the money however we want". They affected my evening plans as this was time consuming and with their negative energy, my mood was equally affected. I had booked to stay next week as well, but I have just cancelled my stay and I will avoid stay there again at all costs!

You have to give one star but I wouldn’t. We booked using Booking.com. On arrival there was a note on the door to say closed please go to Four Star hotel next door. That was all the communication we had. This review is based on that experience and the Four Star Hotel. It was awful. Bugs on the window. Broken window locks. We were in a basement. The bed was at best 1/10 for comfort as it had no substance. The artwork was mouldy and bizarrely painted over. Only two electric sockets the tv was in one and the lamp in the other, if you want to charge anything you will need to unplug something. We didn’t unpack but did stay as we were going to Hyde Park to see BST.

1-The shower did not have any pressure and was quite noisy. 2-The mattress was very uncomfortable, I could feel the springs in my back. 3-The room had strong smell. I had to sleep with my window open. 4-The Russell Hobbs kettle was not working. 5-Each time I was going out, I had to leave my bedroom key with reception and when I came back I had to ring the bell 🔔 6-Only one staff member was very friendly.

£140 for a one night stay in a small, dark, smelly room with an awful, damp mattress, no amenities apart from a bar of soap, a sink in the room but not in the bathroom. Blankets smelled like they're not washed, bathroom wall had stains. Friendly receptionist but refused to accept contactless pay and wanted me to enter chip and pin, which I did but do feel uncomfortable about. Can't leave the hotel with room key, and need to ring to enter the building at night which is odd. Convenient location but you can find a LOT better for that price.

Outstanding hospitality shown by the host, Harry. Well done for dealing with all those customers coming at you together! The hotel is quirky and full of character. A delightful alternative to boring magnolia chain hotels. I loved the room and the nice art touches were incredible. We would come back for another stay. Easy to find and a short walk from Paddington station. Good value and safe feeling. However, stairs are very steep so no good for anyone with mobility issues if located on the top floor.

Awful! We booked to stay here and when we arrived the hotel was closed. We were directed to the four star hotel instead. The hotel was dirty, mould in pictures a cracked shower cubicle and a room in a basement. Only giving one star because no stars isn’t an option!

Very good price for the quality and location! Room is as you need it, quite clean and very tidy. The location of the hotel is excellent. You won't be able to find another hotel in such close proximity to central London that is as decent as this and so affordable. Breakfast is included which is really nice. I can't believe some people complained about a complimentary breakfast! Some pastries, cereal bars, orange juice etc. Owner is a very nice and friendly chap. Great stay!

Utterly wonderful brilliant quirky retreat that is just superb. I shall stay nowhere else in London in future and can’t recommend it highly enough.

Great price, rooms were clean and simple. I really enjoyed the continental breakfast by the window overlooking the busy streets. The rooms are quite impressive.

The room had quirky deco, although it was tiny with a small double bed. The taps barely gave much water which did mean that using the bath or shower was almost impossible. The staff were very friendly though and the hotel in general was quite quiet.
