If I could give this surgery less than one, I would! So glad I’ve managed to change surgeries, I’m never one to complain but this GP surgery is the worst I’ve ever encountered in my life- staff are always so rude and unfriendly. Prescriptions were never done in time for when I needed them, and my doctor at the time had the audacity to tell me that I was “selfish” for having suicidal thoughts… wonderful thing to say to someone who was already on the edge mentally! Disgusting treatment for people with mental health issues, it’s no wonder people don’t ask for the help they need with doctors like this!! Good riddance is all I can say…

Despite being third in the queue, I spent over two hours on hold and was still unable to connect via phone.

Always a long wait for the phone to be answered then very often no apology and a rude receptionist. This isn't to say they are all but one in particular is! No need for a bad attitude especially working in the customer service sector. I gave 2 stars as my doctor M Edison is excellent, but can't give more starts as overall experience is por

The reception staff may not provide the warmest welcome, and the medical center operates with outdated systems affecting online appointment efficiency i.e none at all. Additionally, the discrepancy between the actual building and the one depicted on Google contributes to a potential navigational challenge for visitors.

I’ve had mixed experience at the surgery. That’s why I’ve given it 3 stars. But I must say, during my daughter’s appointment recently, I had a wonderful experience with one of the senior nurses there, Angela. I was thoroughly impressed by her professional attitude, her kind behavior and her warm and accommodating nature. 5 stars to her!

I’ve had numerous appointments recently with Dr Edison and I have to say I’ve been very pleased. She is an outstanding GP who has really dealt accordingly with some issues I’ve been faced with.

I have been trying to get hold of the new medical centre for several days. The options when calling do not allow you to speak to reception, I requested a call back which is an automated service. The call was terminated before anybody answered the phone. It has been like this since Covid and would not recommend joining this GP service if you want to be seen as they only allow for telephone appointments which are often weeks in advance. Same day appointments are offered but for anybody that works it’s not reasonable.

Was treated with complete disregard and Dr was extremely unprofessional, she gave me incorrect medical information, and when questioned and requested she re read previous notes to undrstand why I was attending, she said oh yes I mixed you up with someone else. Offered no support for the reason I was there and kept diverting off on other things to take attention away from the support I was asking for and then I was accused of attending for more than one issue which i did not do. Complete waste of time. I provided feedback in a calm manner and expressed that I was disappointed with the appointment today and felt that the Dr had let herself down in her duty of care. My feedback was on the basis she provided no support that I asked for and read my notes incorrectly twice telling me incorrect results and feedback. Personally I feel we should be able to feedback whether we are happy with a service or not. I did this in a calm unthreatening manner - it was purely feedback - feedback is a gift and every professional should use feedback as a form of reflection on their practice - positive and negative. I then received a warning letter to say that my comment was deemed as abusive and threatening from the practice manager without any consultation with myself or conversation on how I felt the appointment went. This is extremely one sided and actually extremely disappointing that the practice manager did not investigate this further before issuing a warning letter. Where is the patient protection and the warning letter for a Dr that acted unprofessional. I have never in my life received a warning letter of any type, nor have I been abusive to any staff. As a professional myself, I welcome feedback on my practice and find it completely unacceptable that a warning letter was sent to myself without any consultation about the appointment. There are always 2 sides to every story and unfortunately not listening to the other side is how poor practice goes undetected and unaddressed. I will be taking this issue further and am extremely disheartened by firstly the service provided by the Dr and then the accusation letter from the practice manager. I must state that I have never had an issue with the service that any other Dr, my actual GP or nurse at this practice - which in itself speaks volumes about the treatment that I received that day.

I called the New Medical centre today, where I have been a patient for 16 years. I am so upset about the way I was spoken to by the older receptionist. She would not let me speak. She kept saying that the other receptionist should not have given a time for a call back. She was so unprofessional. It would seem that bullying patients also includes bullying younger members of staff. I never write reviews but I think people and also the staff at the practice should be aware that this receptionist is a law unto herself.

I recently changed surgeries as I was fed up with the New Medical Centre and I can say that I actually feel treated like a cared for patient rather than a nuisance now. Honestly, don't put up with this place - the reception staff are disgustingly rude, prescriptions are lost all the time, nurses seem to be on a power trip giving incorrect advise and denying it when you call it out to the surgery later. Dr Edison in particular is awful - her smug attitude when it comes to mental health is very dangerous, saying that everyone gets their ups and downs, to just think positive thoughts, and blaming it all on my period. Jotsun, the practice manager, doesn't care either - only replies to deny and reject your claims to close the case as quickly as possible. MOVE TO A DIFFERENT SURGERY - YOU DESERVE BETTER.

The new medical centre has been my GP for many years and I am disgusted with the way they have treated me and my family. My father was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer after Dr Ola told him he was exaggerating his symptoms for months. I was recently requested a stool sample after experiencing unexplained weight loss and blood in my stools. This was very scary for me considering my family cancer history involving the bowels. After a week of anxiously waiting for my results I decided to call the new medical centre and I was told by the receptionist ‘your results are normal’ I asked the receptionist why I wasn’t contacted or provided my results.. her response was ‘we only contact you if it’s positive’. This practise doesn’t care until you’re dead.

If I could give no stars I would. The receptionist I spoke to just now was quite possibly the rudest I’ve spoken to in this practice. Asked a simple question and was replied with a yawn and request whatever you want through an email address. No manners no apologies no service. Don’t work as a receptionist if you have no service skills.

I have never met such unhelpful receptionist that have no interest in your issues and only actually look at you and respond when they have finished their own social and personal conversation and they wonder why patients get annoyed. Frustrating is an understatement. Forget trying to get through on the phone as after trying to get through after 6 hours I gave up and went to surgery to eventually be told their busy and can’t book over the counter.

Hi, well what can I say!! I phoned at 11:00 am the reception to advise that my 99 year old mother with mobility and many other issues has some problems with her legs that really require to be seen professionally. Given the pressure on GPs I asked for a nurse to attend. I was assured that they would talk to the nurse and call me back to arrange a visit. Guess what? Nothing!!! My mother is 99 and deserves more respect. She doesn’t call on them with finger ache as some do and to her calling for help is failure!! You really need to reevaluate if you are providing the care you should or is it that when someone gets to 99 they aren’t worth bothering with. I am sure Dr Edison would be horrified at what is happening in her practice! Shame on you So not only do they not respond to calls but also take 3 weeks to respond to a review after the matter has been resolved. Isn’t hindsight a marvellous way to make you look good!!!!!

I have been at this surgery for 12 years, i tried to order my prescription today and was told I would have to go to the surgery in person and fill in a form , I am not able to do this at the current time due to my mental state and I will have to go without my medication now . The receptionist showed no empathy for my situation. Not what you would expect from someone working in the care of patients.

In 3-4 months not once someone answered the phone but every time when I go there the receptionist is not doing anything or they are outside speaking. I don’t know why no one is doing anything regarding this. I’ve seen so many bad reviews and I can clearly see that everything is true do not use them. With them or without a GP is the same thing. I will do a formal complaint someone needs to do something about this. Ether they improve or change staff because this is just ridiculous.

When there is a 45min delay, it would be good to call the patient and inform them of this delay, and offer a choice. This is good customer service. We totally understand, there are delays , and emergency appointments. Waiting there with other patient for 45 min is not acceptable not good health advice. Good customer service will be appreciated.

I have recently joined The New Medical Centre and they have been fantastic. My partner and child have also joined. Registration was quick and efficient online. The eConsult service online is very reliable. The Doctors and Nurses are very polite and helpful. A special thank you to Mrs Cecelia (the nurse) who called me late in the evening to ensure I got the care I needed and she was still so pleasant and joyful when we spoke. Thank you
