I recently had a consultation with Dr Boon Lim for my dad, he really put our minds at rest and explained everything very clearly and thoroughly. We appreciated him talking us through all the results in detail and also using visuals aids which were a great help for our understanding. Dr Boon Lim took the time to really understand my dads background, history and lifestyle which meant he not only clarified the reason behind the results, but he also provided a great plan of action to implement post appointment. We meet Dr Boon Lim this week, after struggling for years with our daughter who has an extensive & complex medical history at the age of 19. We have seen a lot of consultants over the years with little help but HE IS IN A CLASS OF HIS OWN ! He is definitely is One of the BEST ! He’s extremely knowledgeable, professional & genuinely carers about both your physical health along with your wellbeing. He offered us lots of help & advice. He took time to explain in a way that we understood, giving us lots of opportunities to ask questions. We were given a extensive plan that gave us the understanding & confidence to move forward. I was referred to Dr Lim because of post-Covid chest pain and a decline in my levels of aerobic fitness - especially worrying because I was training for a marathon. As well as his very reassuring and courteous manner, Dr Lim was extremely thorough in questioning my case history - noting even minor health issues I'd barely given a second thought - until he'd built up a completely holistic profile which he then went on to treat with a mixture of tests, advice and further reading. His explanations were very easy to understand and as well as being extremely knowledgeable, Dr Lim is also clearly passionate about his vocation - all of which contributes to him being one of the best doctors I have ever seen.

I saw Doctor Lim for POTS and he was fantastic. As well as conventional treatments for POTS (medication, salt, water, compression tights etc) he also told me about Suzy Bolt's Yoga for Long Covid classes at 360 mind body and soul which he recommended for retraining the autonomic nervous system. These classes are an amazing tool for anyone suffering from Long Covid or POTS, as I am, and they have given me a routine, a sense of community and really drilled in how to pace yourself and rest (not to mention they are also light hearted and fun). I am a year on from first meeting Doctor Lim, and taking these classes on a weekly basis, and I am much improved. Doctor Lim has empowered me to take control of my midodrine dosing and my POTS is under control and hopefully will continue to improve. Can't recommend Doctor Lim or Suzy Bolt highly enough.

I really appreciated the concern Dr Lim showed for my father and his health. It is lovely to see a consultant go beyond the physical illness to understand the patient holistically and I think this reflects his clearly very kind and caring nature.

Dr Lim is a very friendly and approachable specialist. I do like to understand all issues surrounding my coronary condition, and Dr Lim is quite willing to explain in depth. Dr Lim was incredibly kind and supportive when I suffered from AF. He provided me with strategies to help with my whole body in order to enhance the effectiveness if the cardioversion . My wife, Famida Aziz came to see you today and she had this to say… I understand that Dr Lim is a consultant cardiologist, but I would use him as a general physician as his knowledge is outstanding. I am taking his opinion over my endocrinologist when it comes to issues with my thyroid. In both times that I was in consultation with him did I feel there no rush whatsoever. I came in to see him with many health issues that were not necessarily related to cardiology, and he helped me through all of these. His general holistic advice is so very appreciated. I count myself very fortunate to have been treated by Dr Boon Lim and his team over the course of five years. He resolved my AF (from the age of 48) in the course of two ablations, and has guided me through the consequent vicissitudes. Follow up has been exemplary (within the constraints of NHS) through one to one consultations that were clear, informative and sensitive, monitoring in various ways, and guidance on how to manage irregularities when they have occurred.
