Salads were each SO delicious - we could not pick a favourite but nobody has to as the whole idea is to just enjoy them all! Salmon in spinach and filo was spectacular! Chicken and sweet potato tagine was also bursting with flavour. I don’t know how to describe how fresh all the flavours were but close as I can get is that it is as though every herb was picked from a garden out the back seconds before the dish was put together! Service was also very friendly!

This is one of the most amazing restaurants we came in London. The food is amazing. We ordered salad-sharing platter offering a wide variety of salad served with soft and yummy bread. My friend was particularly found of the tomato salad and the bread. Both of us agreed that the Fish Tajine was awesome especially the flavorful salmon. Importantly, we had lovely chat with the restaurant owner. His ideas about life is mind-blowing that is worth for us learn from. Strongly recommend!

Meticulously executed cross between fine dining and home cooking. Authentic Algerian with a 21st century twist served in lovely Arab platters and bowls. Atmospheric interior with colourful rugs and carpets. Soft North African background music. Very friendly owners. BYOB

Had a great evening in this lovely little restaurant. The food is superb (the home made cous cous is melting in your mouth) and clearly prepared by an experienced chef. Loved the rose buds and fresh mint tea! Definitely recommended!

Excellent Algerian food in London. Not your 'average' tajine: the ones served here are packed with so much flavour, and beautifully layered with various spices and aromas. Truly incredible! Djamel is also very friendly and accommodating.

Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the chef's skill and passion for Algerian cuisine. The ambiance was enhanced by a fantastic decor that added to the overall charm of the place. We ate at Khamsa a few days ago, and absolutely loved it! I grew up eating traditional Algerian food, and this is the most authentic restaurant I have eaten the traditional dishes from. The atmosphere is cozy and full of traditional Algerian decoration, and the owner was lovely. Will definitely come again.

Unbelievable experience at Khamsa. Incredible, delicious and authentic food. The salmon and lamb meatballs were out of this world and the homemade cakes were so good it was emotional! Bought extra to have for breakfast! Any time I'm in London, I will make sure I go to eat here. Service was perfect, and Djamel is a very talented guy. Could not fault anything. Thank you!

Had a wonderful dinner at cozy Khamsa. This is a neighborhood gem, serving up some mouth watering dishes such as fresh salads and flavorful tajines, to name a few. Djamel makes everything in house and welcomes everyone to the restaurant with a wide smile; it was so easy to spot his love for hospitality and for sharing his culture with the world. Will certainly be back. Thank you!

This is one of those restaurants that I just know the food was done at its very best. And I say it to only a few restaurants. The salmon main with couscous was amazing. I can taste the good olive oil from the fluffy couscous. Salmon was crispy on the outside, with the ginger added slight spiciness, the sauce and the chickpeas .. all the flavors matched perfectly together, I can never get enough of it. You need to try the rice pudding dessert as well. So unique and tasty. I love rice pudding and this is the best I’ve had. The owner Jay is very a highly talented chef. He learned cooking from his mother, and the dishes are tradition with his personal twist. I just love their food so much. Thank you so much for the incredible experience.

khamsa an Algerian restaurant worthy of its name, we thought we were in a museum which proudly exhibits the jewels of Algerian heritage. The owner is very friendly, welcomed us with great friendship, a rich and diversified menu of typical Algerian dishes. personally I loved my (chtitha djej with spinach) served in a terracotta bowl made me travel on grandma's table 😇 and as grandma never lets us leave empty-handed he gave us the famous Algerian bread for breakfast 🥰😋. We really wish you a good continuation and many others insha'allah you represent Algeria very well and you make us proud.

Visited yesterday with a group of 8 and we were welcomed, just before closing, into this super cozy restaurant adorned with north African ornaments and textiles. The food was delightful, my first foray into Algerian cuisine which I would highly recommend to anyone who hasn't tried it. Thank you to the wonderful staff for giving us such a special experience.

Amazing meal at Khamsa! The owner was incredibly helpful when it came to the menu. We went for the salad platter, fish tagine and meatball tagine - all these choices couldn’t be faulted. I highly recommend the Algerian lemonade. Great food and service! Looking forward to returning. Thank you!

The owner very kindly cateered to our climbing team before they were about to close. The food was incredible and the atmosphere in underground room was great. The owner was very nice and we talked about life and pursuing passions! Such a fortunate encounter.

Extremely beautiful restaurant with authentic atmosphere and food. The owner is so lovely and personable, as well as an amazing cook. This was my first time trying Algerian food and it was the best North African food I have ever had.

DELICIOUS doesn't cover it! Every bite of the food is fresh and filled with flavour. From the second you step through the door every moment is a delight. The music, the decor, the atmosphere is as enjoyable as the food; although by far the best thing about this restaurant is Djamel. Friendly and informative, he never forgets a face or a flavour. This will soon become your favourite place! Don't forget to try the starter platter (one is not enough) and the rose water!

Such a lovely authentic restaurant! Felt like we were back in Algiers and Djamel the chef made us feel completely at home. He was so warm and welcoming. The food was incredible especially the salmon, can't recommend enough. Downstairs is gorgeous too. Will definitely be coming back again and again.

An incredible experience, from the delicious food, to the lovely owner, and the cost atmosphere. Absolutely loved every single thing about it and would highly highly recommend it! The food was spot on, of the highest quality and best flavours ever. Thank you for this gem!!

I cannot recommend this wonderful gem of a restaurant enough! The food was absolutely superb. We had the salad platter to start, alongside exquisitely exotic Algerian bread. We then had the fish tagine (the salmon was truly cooked to perfection!) and the spicy lamb meatballs with Algerian couscous. It was all delicious. All of this was heightened by the wonderful, friendly and fun service - the owner of the restaurant is a fantastic character who really brings charm and culture to the food you’re enjoying. Definitely go out of your way to enjoy this excellent restaurant!

In one word: AMAZING! One of the best meals I've ever had. Everything is prepared to perfection. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that there was a nice selection of vegetarian options. The atmosphere is wonderful. It's a lovely place for a romantic dinner for two, but the meals and atmosphere are so lovely a group of any number would surely enjoy. Wonderful on all accounts and one of the best restaurants in the neighborhood.

We had a lovely dinner at Khamsa. It tastes really like fresh homemade food from Algeria and the owner made the experience even better. He was very welcoming and friendly and talked to us about Algeria and the foood. He loves what he does and that shows on his made with love food. MUST try: Tchakhoukha and Rechta !! Make sure you call him to order a day or two in advance!! Make sure to try the mint tea and his AMAZING bread!! Everything is made fresh. No microwaves/freezers and that shows. Definitely travelled us to Algeria, from the decoration, to the music, to the food! Well done!!!

Went for a family meal to celebrate a birthday. Started with the sharing platters and we were immediately blown away by the array of amazing flavours. I'm a chickpea-phile, but have to say the aubergine was outstanding. For mains the missus had the fish. In her own words, well cooked delicate spices and a sweetness balanced by lemon flavours. The kids had the cous cous, smooth depth of flavour and that was just the cous cous let alone the sauce. I had the hearty meatballs. Ooh the flavours. Was really looking forward to the rice pudding but was too full. Maybe next time. Thanks to the friendly and welcoming owner chef.

As an Algerian, I can tell that the food tastes like my mom’s food 😍 and that’s a compliment ☺️ It was gorgeous. Thank you for preserving the original taste of our traditional dishes and for the beautiful decor which is purely Algerian berber/Amazigh. I am super proud of having such a restaurant in London that will remind me of my home country 👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️ 🇩🇿

Beautiful little restaurant. I did not feel like I was in London after stepping through the door, I was whisked away somewhere else and it was a pleasure. Food was incredible and the service was just as good. Highly recommend.
