The food and ambiance were excellent. Dominique Ansel Bakery’s take on traditional high tea is modern and delicious. The savory sandwiches are uniquely crafted. The service is not good and definitely puts a damper on the experience. Given the price point and ambiance you’d expect the service to be more refined. The waiters were clumsy and not properly trained - from spilling food to pouring a glass of champagne with a nearly empty bottle, it simply put a bit of a damper on the experience overall.

This is a reasonable place to sit and eat. Conveniently located near Victoria station/next door to the coach depot but not completely packed like some of the places in Victoria. It has a range of - quite overprice but underwhelming pastries and other foods. Some of the food was very nice and the granola we had was MASSIVE ...big enough to share. I have to concede the choc chip 🍪 was delish!! Staff were friendly enough but not v attentive. We saw a few being asked quite a few times to help clear tables and then wipe them down. They lady who served us was more interested in her phone than helping us initially and there was limited social distancing. I was left a little frustrated by all of this but it was a pleasant enough morning to sit and eat our food. They have a nice open 'garden' at the back. V relaxing but I suspect real plants would have been better even though more difficult to maintain.

I found sweet desserts a bit too sweet. Why am I complaining? May I was expecting it to blow my mind away and not having hard time finishing these desserts. Something was missing. Contrasting texture or taste to go with sweet, may be? Although despite my doubt, we’d ordered some savory food that turned out to be superb. Must try egg burger. Very few veg options available. Staff is incredibly nice and ambience is great!

Amazing high tea! Their scones with the innovative strawberry jam and clotted cream in one are an absolutely gorgeous treat. The whole meal is delicate and gorgeous but surprisingly very filling, though we couldn’t help sharing the watermelon soft serve afterwards. Beautiful service and very accommodating booking system.

Went for late afternoon coffee and cake with a friend visiting London. Cronuts was tasty, worth a try. Cakes were yummy. We had the Zahra Rose and Paris/London which were not overly sweet which is perfect. Coffee was average. Bit pricey for what we had but suppose paying for the great location. Staff were friendly overall. worth a visit.

My friend and I met at this bakery for desserts. The Blackberry Meringue pastry was extremely delicious. The creme inside was very delicious and filled with some blackberry cream. The fruit was very fresh. I didn’t try the chocolate pastry but she said it was tasty! I’d definitely recommend Dominique Ansel to everyone. It’s a very cute little restaurant.

Love all their pastries and desserts!! Perfect what-a-melon ice cream, so pretty for photos and very fresh tasting. I can eat their whole menu over & over again. Like the fact that it's not crowded (due to covid) and the outdoor seating area is such a pleasant place to chill out. Definitely my favourite cafe in London.

I visited during their Valentines editions so this review may not be appropriate all year round. However, I can see how some of the cakes could be pleasant away from the hype of pink hearts but the additions of hibiscus/rose/raspberry etc to perfectly nice cakes seemed unnecessary. I am also not a fan of rice cake cake bases. Let’s face it, we’ve all made a rice crispie cake at some point in life so to me this came across as a bit of a cheap cost cutting idea. Overall I would suggest a visit for pleasant and aesthetically pleasing cakes if you happen to be in the area but it’s not a bakery to seek out.

The cronut is one of the best sweets in the world! It is crispy and flaky outside and soft and creamy inside. Perfect sweetness and so addictive. I also tried the Mini-Me Cake which was simply perfect as well. Every piece of them look so pretty. I will need a few more visits to try them all... The croissant was ok but not as extraordinarily as the rest of what I ate.

We had a Coconut Pain au Chocolate and a DKA. Both were not that good. Coconut Pain was way too sweet and soft, not crispy on top. The DKA was hard and dry throughout. Cappuccino lacked flavour and served warm. A big disappointment particularly we came a long way to try this bakery. Overall it’s an average bakery at best.

The kind of place you visit at least once every few months. So many delectable treats that are both delicious and beautiful. Bright interior, friendly staff. Seating could be more comfortable. Make sure you get there before 1pm to guarantee a Cronut (the invention that made Dominique Ansel famous). If definitely recommend trying the cookie shots and taking the DKA home as a second treat. You won't be disappointed!

If you are in London this is a must do experience. Reservations are required and are easily done on their website. The bakery itself has many delights but the tea was good. I didn't think I would be as full as I was! Each piece was delicious and the tea was great. Service was wonderful. For 1 person, total with prossecco was 61 pounds. Worth it!
