We’ve lived in London for over a decade and just got married. We decided to stay in a 5 star hotel the night before and the day of our wedding and while London has a lot of choice, we immediately knew we wanted to stay at Claridge’s. It was the best decision we could have made. From the first email regarding the booking to the final checkout, everyone we spoke to was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were treated so wonderfully throughout our stay and we felt so incredibly special. The room was gorgeous and had everything we needed, getting ready there on the day of my wedding is something I will never forget. We had champagne in the bars on the ground floor and the service was incredible. We ordered breakfast to the room the day after our wedding which we enjoyed on the terrace overlooking Mayfair, and it was wonderful. We really didn’t want to leave! I would highly recommend Claridge’s for any special occasion (or if you just want to treat yourself!) you will not regret it. Thank you Claridge’s for providing us with an unforgettable stay, we hope we can celebrate our first wedding anniversary there too. Jenna and Emanuele

Review is only for afternoon tea. I do NOT recommend if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions. I am sure it is fine if you don’t have any and just get the regular menu. I provided all of my allergens months ahead of time, they confirmed them upon arrival, but then everything fell apart. The sandwiches I received were just dry bread and meat (I can’t eat dairy, soy, or coconut) so they just gave me the regular sandwiches with no substitute spread. I had to ask for mustard and ketchup. Only after I ate the first dry batch of sandwiches did the chef then come up with a plate of safe sandwiches which were much better. However - then a manager approaches me and informs me that their white bread has a small percentage of soy (!). Had this been a life-threatening allergy this would have been a huge issue. Thankfully it isn’t, but just keep this in mind that they are clearly not prioritizing or taking allergies seriously, so be forewarned. Also - instead of pastries/cakes I received just fruit in different formats, not very exciting. For any others that are dairy- or soy-free, you’d be much better off at a lovely shop I found in Borough market that has many very interesting cake, pie, and cookie options. Much more delicious and affordable. The one redeeming value is that the tea is very good and they let you try as many types as you like.

I visited here for afternoon tea today as it was one of the most prestige ones in London, sadly left disappointed! The sandwiches/scones and patisserie were all pleasant and good, but nothing stood out at all. The usual cucumber/egg/salmon sandwiches, the raisins and plain scones, It all felt really basic and standard, similar to any £45/50 afternoon tea, considering the price point you pay £85 per person + service charge, nearly £200 in total for 2 people. I have visited numerous afternoon tea’s in various locations across the world, let alone England but this was really disappointing. They really need to step up their game if they want to charge that price point but deliver such simple offerings.

An Unforgettable Experience at Claridge's My stay at Claridge's in London was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in the heart of this cosmopolitan city, Claridge's is not just a hotel, it is a grand celebration of luxury, comfort, and remarkable service. From the moment I set foot into the elegantly designed lobby, the amiable staff made it their mission to provide a flawless experience. Their incredible friendliness and dedication to service were not just commendable, but also truly heartwarming. Their commitment to making every guest feel valued and at home is an authentic testament to their exceptional hospitality. Stepping into the room, I was immediately swept off my feet by the meticulous attention to detail. Every corner of the room spoke of careful consideration and fine taste, creating an atmosphere of elegance, relaxation, and warmth. The space was not only impeccable in terms of cleanliness and comfort, but it was also abundantly clear that each feature had been thoughtfully curated to offer a unique and personalized stay. There's a reason why Claridge's is heralded as one of the world's best hotels. The dedication to guest satisfaction, the superb services, and the aesthetically pleasing rooms form a combination that is hard to find elsewhere. My time at Claridge's was indeed a superlative experience, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable stay in the captivating city of London. This isn't just a hotel; it's a paragon of hospitality.

Really enjoyed my afternoon tea experience here, food and service were amazing. Sandwiches were very memorable and I am sure I will book another afternoon tea here because of them. My favourite was the ham and truffle sandwich. The service was impeccable too, the waiter assisted in our many tea refills and pouring our tea for us with extra care. Also, waiter checking on our stay was pleasant throughout the afternoon.

It was fabulous, the epitome of elegance and class. Every detail was exquisite. I loved the ambience of the room. Also teamed with Temperley London Phenomenal trunk sale, showcasing glittering delicacies, in satin and velvet, alongside there new lingerie line it was simply marvellous.

This was an impeccable experience. I went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, as were the desserts and the beef tartare. The service was absolutely excellent as you’d expect and all of the staff were extremely friendly. The staff even served each new cup of mint tea with its own new teapot to avoid over brewing, which was impressive and thoughtful. I also liked that their coffee and sorbet dishes were delicious, and not just an afterthought as it sometimes can be. The inside of the restaurant is also decorated immaculately, and there was live entertainment, including a violinist and a pianist. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take pictures inside, as their is a policy against that. However, I would recommend this amazing and classic place to anyone.

Had an amazing afternoon tea experience. It is very expensive, but worth it if you are on a vacation or special trip! You get refills of all sandwiches/scones/pastries included in the price. I asked for extra scones to take home with me to my hotel for breakfast the next morning (they were the best scones I’ve ever had with delicious clotted cream and jam) and they happily did so in a beautiful packaged box - at no extra charge. The food and service are top notch

Popped in to Claridges, unplanned on our way back from House of Lords social event. Nothing was too much trouble. So accommodating, lovely spot in the restaurant to enjoy fabulous evening meal with cocktails for the 5 of us. Great ambiance, friendly staff (lack of tourists a bonus) and I parked right outside the front door.

I’m unsure you’re allowed to give Claridge’s less than a 5 star because it deserves more. I have never had the honour of staying but every Christmas for the last 15 years I have come to the bar the weekend before Christmas, enjoyed some of the cities’ best cocktails, enjoyed the company of some of the friendliest staff in London and have a truly unforgettable evening. They did well with their Christmas decor this year. Outstanding. Already on my calendar for next Christmas.

Claridges has been the best experience we have ever had at a hotel. To start, all of the staff are amazing. We arrived at 7:45 a.m. from an overnight flight and they welcomed us into a private area to relax and got us a room as soon as they had one available. The service was impeccable. A few days later my knees ached either from all our walking and they. Brought me ice packs to the room. The concierge helped us get amazing reservations last minute. When I tell you everything was exceptional it was and more. I will never stay at another hotel in London again and I encourage you to give it a try you will not be disappointed.

I had an afternoon tea here a few weeks ago and it was brilliant. Todd was the waiter looking after us and he made our day one we will remember. Thank you Todd! Everyone was very attentive, delightful and kind. The fudge you are given at the end of the tea made my day. See you soon!

Had a wonderful lunch here for a family members birthday. From doorman onwards all the staff were friendly and attentive. The choice of wine is staggering, I settled on a glass of Malbec, others had cocktails, again outstanding. Now the food.. what can I say? Probably the best steak I have ever had! Even though we were stuffed, we squeezed in desert! Well done to everyone!

Afternoon tea is well worth the splurge, we were so full we didn't need any dinner that night. Service is amazing, not too much and the food was delicious. Would recommend.

I would like to leave this review specifically for Todd who was our splendid waiter in the Foyer and Reading Room yesterday (9/10/22). Todd really made our visit something special! Todd explained everything so beautifully and he was mesmerising to listen to! He truly cared about our experience and I would say our experience was a thousand times better because this lovely gentleman was our waiter. Thank you so much Todd for making sure our gift from Chloe was even more special. We didn't share our reasons for being there until the end of our afternoon tea and even until that point it was as if you knew how important this experience was to us. We will never forget it and never forget you Todd. Oh and as for the afternoon tea, it was absolutely superb! Thank you. :)

Just went for the experience really, food is just your average basic British themed edibles. £90 for some sandwiches and finger pastries (cakes) and some tea is a little..... Was surprised no salmon or prawns were offered for their lunch and dinner menu. Decent selection of wines and champagnes. Lovely rooms.

Incredible experience here. Stayed here with my family and you feel completely taken care of. There were beautiful flowers waiting for us on arrival. The restaurant and gym are all five star spots and the spa left us all feeling relaxed. There is a reason it is ranked so highly!

Went there only for the tea. Which is definitely an experience. One should go there understanding that you are paying for the scenery, the atmosphere, the experience, the excellent service. Because honestly, the sandwiches, scones and sweets are nothing you can't get somewhere else for half the price. But still, fun to do.

The afternoon tea here is absolutely perfect, every time ⭐️ You’ll likely need to book well in advance so be prepared, especially if you want to try a seasonal tea. The staff and their service is impeccable. Dietary requirements are always remembered and catered to without a fuss. The sandwiches, scones and cakes are of exceptional quality too.

From the moment I arrived until my departure, my stay at Claridge’s Hotel in London was nothing short of spectacular. Celebrating my birthday in such an iconic establishment made my special day even more memorable. The hotel exudes elegance and charm, with its luxurious accommodations and impeccable service. I was particularly impressed by the warmth and professionalism of the staff. A special shout-out to Amine, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. His attention to detail, kindness, and exceptional service truly stood out and added a personal touch to my birthday celebrations. The ambiance, the exquisite dining options, and the overall experience at Claridge’s have left a lasting impression on me. It’s clear why this hotel is a favorite among those who appreciate the finer things in life. I can confidently say that whenever I’m in London, Claridge’s will be my go-to destination. Thank you to the entire team, and especially to Amine, for making my birthday unforgettable. I’m already looking forward to my next stay!

A magical day, planned by my gorgeous daughters, to celebrate my 70th birthday. Claridges is a wonderful experience. Every member of staff we encountered was utterly professional, charming, friendly and welcoming. We had a delicious lunch and our server, Todd was quite delightful and made us feel very special. Beautiful Art Deco interior and everything immaculately clean particularly the ladies toilet where the attendants were quite lovely. Altogether we had a wonderful experience.

Location: Claridge’s location is incredibly central, making it the perfect base to explore the city and nearby shops. Whether you're a tourist or a business traveler, you'll find it very convenient. Service: The service at Claridge’s is truly outstanding. The staff is attentive, friendly, and always on the ball. They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Food and Drinks: The dining options at the hotel are excellent. They have a variety of delicious dishes, and the bars (the Fumoir, Claridge’s Bar and the painter’s room) offer a great selection of drinks to unwind with after a long day of exploring. Rooms: The rooms have been beautifully renovated, and they provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail in the room design is impressive. Spa and Gym: The gym is top-notch, equipped with state-of-the-art apparatus for those who want to stay active during their stay. The pool, although small, is a nice addition for relaxation. Summary: Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. It's one of the best in London, offering a central location, outstanding service, great food and drinks, and beautifully renovated rooms. It's the ideal choice for any traveler looking for a memorable stay in the city.

I have chance to work there for one day for an event and it's a great place to work, so I can't imagine how great it might be to visit as a guest. I believe you can understand a quality service by observing how they treat their staff. From design to management, it's perfect. Happy staff means, genuine service and happiers guests. Location is perfect for whatever reason you are in London.

One of my favourite hotels, historic, yet modern and classy without being too snooty. Decor throughout is in keeping with the building, yet feels fresh and modern too. All the staff I encountered were friendly and professional - from the door and reception right through to hotel security and bar staff. No, it's not cheap, but it's worth the cost.

My daughter treated me to afternoon tea for my 60th birthday. Its the best we've had by far. The service was second to none (especially Gabrielle) and we will definitely visit again soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience

This review is only for the afternoon tea. As always, Claridge’s does not disappoint. With the vast amount of tea options, the substitutions for allergies or food preferences, and the ability to repeat your favorite snacks as much as you like with no extra cost. It is a nice experience and should most definitely be visited if you are in the city.

This hotel is lovely but I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I don’t think it’s as good as the savoy or Ritz. It was very busy when went so maybe that’s why it didn’t feel as special. At first they couldn’t fit us in the bar so showed us to the painters room. I’m guessing this bar was made to add capacity but it isn’t great, it feels like your in a cupboard. We decided to wait outside the bar and the lady was lovely and came and got us as soon as their was a seat at the bar. It felt rather cramped the bartender wasn’t particularly friendly and the nibbles that you get aren’t a patch on the Ritz or Savoy but the drinks are more. Beautiful hotel though and worth seeing.

I had a amazing experience at a dinner & Dance 22yrs ago at the same location so I decided to take my daughter for her Birthday to the Afternoon tea as a treat & to the bar for some drinks. I can honestly say the treatment we got from the minute we stepped out of our taxi to the minute we left ,we where treated like royalty by all the staff. All I can say is thank you to all the staff and especially Valentina for your lovely warmth & hospitality whilst serving and looking after us while we had our afternoon tea. I will most definitely be returning to this beautiful hotel . Merry Christmas & thanks again!!xx

Here for an end of year dinner with my husband wanted to come for a while it did not disappoint The food was just marvellous. Shout out for the pasta starter and the pepper steak. Least good was the sea bass mainly for the small near tail portion but it did taste delicious. We loved it all it was bust in the restaurant which was to be expected during Christmas week but staff took the moment needed to chat and check just the correct amount. Roll on next visit

A great start to the day. Joined some friends for a breakfast, l had a traditional eggs, bacon and sausage. The eggs were superb, sausage delicious but the bacon was over done had to use fingers to pick up as it was extremely crispy. The staff were polite and very professional and not intrusive but always available. It’s a great setting in a lovely room and a good start to the day.

New Years Eve at Claridges-restaurant was just about something. Lovely atmosphere, good service, tasty dishes. Little minus is that among smart wearers were people with casual outfits, and their behaviour was equivalent.

  • 5/5 Clive 1 year ago on Google
Outstanding as you would expect. The bed was so comfortable and the room and bathroom clean and altogether immaculate. As you would expect nothing is provided without a price, and the tea and bottle of water requested of the guy who showed us our room was quite pricey. It was our wedding anniversary, hence the night stay, and whilst we stated this was the reason we had booked at check-in, we really did not expect the complimentary bottle of champagne which we found placed in our room on our return, courtesy of the reception staff. We were also having the afternoon tea, which was so good it has now coloured our view of all subsequent afternoon tea events in various other London venues we have been too, so I would suggest you do those before you go here 😄

Fabulous hotel. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Really friendly and helpful staff. Really good with children. From the moment you arrive, the staff really go out of their way to make you feel special and are very welcoming. They want you to enjoy the experience, and the occasion you are there for, be it a big celebration or a quiet meal. Nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend. Have been a handful of times now. Definately want to make another visit.
