Magnificent place for special cocktails and live music. The band was grand, and the performances were all marvelous. Nice mood for a Friday evening. Would recommend the whiskey cocktails, extremely well done, without subduing the peaty flavors. The food was good enough but nothing to crave for later - just a pretty good foundation for the amazing drinks.

Oh I had been missing a good jazz night for so long! Oriole bar is absolutely one of the best jazz clubs I've been to in London; first of all, we got lucky because this amazing duet was playing, Baraka Jazz, check them out on Instagram, they really deserve it. Just walking down the stairs and immersing yourself into the vibe makes you feel like in a movie, the chattering of the people, the band playing, the dimmed lights and classy decor, the cocktail bar... and what a choice of cocktails, the beautifully designed menu introduced us to a geographically classified selection of drinks and the way they were presented to us, even the glasses, and definitely the taste, left us so satisfied! We also had some food, mostly small bytes, which usually could be a risky move in a bar in London but I really have to say I was so surprised at how delicious, delicate and flavoursome everything was. Spectacular night in this great little gem of a jazz club, highly recommend to all jazz and live music lovers.

Really happy I found this little place - via Google Maps - as I'd never heard of it despite being here for years. It's a proper New York style cocktail bar, low lighting and bar seating as well as regular tables and benches. We didn't stay for the band but there's live music each night. Cocktails are largely experimental but mostly great. The Acadia (Bourbon and peanut butter based drink) was my favourite, though there's definitely something for all tastes. Some drinks are a bit gimmicky, served in funny looking containers etc, but very interesting nonetheless.

Love this bar! Loved the whole theme inside and all the artefacts dotted around The staff were so courteous and friendly, and did a wonderful job at introducing each of our cocktails. The food was splendid- had a burratina to start and steak as a main.. perfectly cooked! And the sweet potato chips were probably the best ones we've had! Each cocktail was so different and unique to anywhere we've been before and they were all really well made The live pianist was great too! A variety of jazz (all based around the moon in light of Saturday's blue moon), with singing and the flute! Fantastic experience overall and we already can't wait to go back!

Boasting an exotic tropical Mediterranean decor, Oriole was an exquisite and glamorous surprise that exceeded my expectations. The band playing was lovely, the cocktails had an unexpected twist to it but was very enjoyable, the food was savoury however the only downside was it took ages to be served (so food for thought: don't come in when you are hungry) All in all, this has become one of my favourite spots to wine and dine to live music. Special commendations to the lovely staff as well. Cheers!

I’m from Toronto but next time I come to London I am coming back. I came alone but all the staff made me feel so welcome. Everyone was so lovely. I came early and they accommodated for me, got a seat right in front of the stage. Now the drinks were absolutely incredible. I enjoy going to different bars a lot but Oriole really had some of the most innovative flavour combinations I have had in a very long time. I also really loved that they had an edible garnish with their drinks. I tried the Reunion and Daintree Collins and was recommended the Acadia. And oh wow the Acadia was so lovely. Definitely never expected to like peanut butter in my drink. Not to mention the live band was great. Anyways, long story short, would definitely recommend it here.

Well located near Farringdon, this local gem is uniquely situated at the Smithfield Market with a spacious basement. Their menu is pretty creative showcasing different regions of the world and the cocktails are tasty and well presented. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks!

I ve had the most amazing cocktails in this bar! Here you don't get the standard mojito, cosmopolitan but real different flavour combinations that's either floral, sweet sour, salty ... impressive.they really play with the senses also the smell. Food is also good, I've had the best fried squid ever! The waiters/ waitress are great.they really can advise you well

Really nice experience had in Oriole! We didn’t make reservation but the staffs are so nice and welcoming, they squeezed us in and switched a even better sit later. Really good service! One of my favorite bars to chill and enjoy good cocktails, I believe the vibe changes with the live music. Sometimes you are fortunate to have a very cool old school blues, that make the place even more special, but when it comes down to what you go there for, it doesn't fail, great drinks in a very particular environment. Could keep on going back again and again and again! Food is also awesome, their burger, their desserts, everything :) Back again for the collaboration with tales and spirits (so awesome) great cocktails, great vibe! Loving it!

Oriole is my favourite cocktail bar in London. Why? Because of the unique atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff and the amazing cocktails. Each single cocktail is a cleverly composed and beautifully crafted masterpiece.

I almost never had a culinary experience on such a high level. Amazing bar food cooked to perfection, even satisfying my head chef companion. The cocktails are a work of art and if you're lucky enough to catch a seat at the bar, you can see the passion and skill in the bartender's every move. The service staff is extremely proficient in their care for you, and the overall atmosphere is luxurious and relaxing at the same time. I still am overwhelmed by this bar!

Excellent staff and service. Mix up over some things with the booking and to my surprise they brought a glass of Prosecco over for everyone on the table. Insightful thoughts on suggestions for drinks, very creative cocktails. Live music is great and a really nice atmosphere there. Would highly recommend.

It's a funky bar. I really liked it. There is live music here some evenings. I found the menu really confusing as there was too much too choose. It was a good thing the waiting staff were able to make recommendations based on my tastes! Probably a good date places as well.

Absolutely STERLING evening. I would give 10 stars if I could. Friend booked a table with the dinner package for her birthday. We arrived and were seated straight away by the most lovely Maitre D’s. Our waiter was fantastic the entire evening and was very interactive and fun. The music.. ohhhh the music.. two words.. Aisha Khan. What an incredible voice that lit up the room, she was incredible. The food was also out of this world, we all had the Burratina to start, for my main I had the Bavette steak which was cooked to perfection and then the brownie for dessert. Delicious! The cocktails were on POINT with weird and wonderful concoctions that really set things apart. I would 1,000% recommend this to everyone and will DEFINITELY be returning again and again. Thanks so much to everyone for last night, you’ve got customers for life here!

Omg I loved this place. My partner suggested it from when he’d visited in 2018. Music, food, cocktails 10/10. They were kind enough to move us to better seats as the place freed up. We thoroughly enjoyed, ended up staying there for 3.5 hours !

This place is amazing. It has live music every night I think. The band that was playing while we were there was great fun and played a great mix of music. The cocktails are something else - they are so beautifully presented and are very quirky. I didn't have the food but saw what others tables had and it looked and smelled really good. Incredible well crafted cocktails for more than a fair price considering the quality behind them (and considering we are in London). Very safe environment, live jazz music filling the space and great staff to help you with your choices! Haven't tried the food but that looked delicious too! Highly recommended!

A fantastic venue with first class hospitality. Quality of the drinks was superb, got a seat for 90 minutes but then moved to an area towards the back which was a tad dissapointing. Did see another group get seated in the same additional area but then moved closer to the band which was a bit annoying given we were charged the extra 10 per head for the band we didnt get to see. Good experience

June 2019 We visited north bar for the third time in a year. The beers just keep getting better and more extensive. I enjoyed several De Molen beers and the obligatory photo booth. Can't wait to visit again.

What I like most about this place is their wide range of craft beer. If you feel like expending, they offer high quality lager but if you are a little tight on the budget, they also options at reasonable price. I appreciate the wall paintings, it gives the place a certain character.. story.

Friendly welcome, accommodating and a great beer selection. Just missing a menu for the Belgian beers in the fridge. If you’re into your beer then the North Bar is a ‘must visit’ when in Leeds as it’s widely acknowledged as being one of the first craft beer bars in the U.K. No bookings are being taken at the moment, so you’re taking your chances with walk-ins but choose your time wisely and you should be ok.

Myself and 5 other from across the UK (one person even came from Alaska) went to Superbowl night here. It was absolutely fantastic , they decked out the place with American paraphernalia and served a large selection of American ales and hotdogs as well. The atmosphere was incredible and everybody there had a great time. Lots of cheering and clapping and generally great fun. Love this place.

Drinks were great and the service was top. We were there last Saturday night, stayed for the live too. I had two drinks - the first one was very refreshing which was recommended by a very lovely girl with top service. The second one was also great but just a little too sweet to my taste, and they were happy to replace one.

Very good product - Disappointing delivery We chose for the cocktails and food pairing option. The food arrived in about 15 minutes, however, we waited for the cocktails for 40 minutes and they only came after we asked for them again. As we wanted to experience more of the menu, we went for a second round of cocktails and more food. These also took time, because the waiter was not sure what kind of steak was on the menu and had to go check. We understand that the hospitality industry is not at it's best state at the moment, therefore, we did not comment on the above issues. However, we were handed the bill shortly after the food arrived and were asked to release the table a few minutes after. There were 3 empty tables around us and no one waiting to be seated, so we were not sure why we had to leave after 1.30 hours on the dot even though our first drinks took half of our seating time to arrive. At no point were we asked how everything was, if we had any food allergies or if we wanted to finish our drinks at the bar. There is definitely some details to be improved in the service delivery, but both the food and drinks were really nice.

Quietly tucked away within the Spitalfield’s meat market and underground is where you can find Oriole. We arrived around at 8:30pm and the man at the door was friendly and we managed to get a walk in table. I’d recommend booking in advance as it can get busy 9:30pm onwards. There was a reminder that there is a live music fee of £10 starting at 9pm. The live band was really good but it’s a shame that I’m certain seats, you cannot see the action. The drinks are interesting with unique ingredients. The food is definitely overpriced and not great but you go there for the drinks. At the end we checked the receipt and noticed that had added an extra £5 per person for music which we found odd and queried this. The staff member explained that they charge another £5 for live music after 11:30pm which was strange. The staff member was courteous and took the amount of the bill as she realised we did not know of the additional charge.

Lovely underground fancy jazz bar. The decor is nice and old-school. Cocktails are a little extravagant, but nice. The stand-out for me was that all the staff were so lovely and accommodating. They had great knowledge on the menus too. Great date spot.

Very nice place, unexpected surprise after entering the rather discreet door at the market, wonderful menu of cocktails, and some small bites, not as good as the great drinks but ok, didn't taste the main dishes, live music from 9pm with a fee. Expensive but worthwhile.

An absolute gem of a cocktail bar. The staff are super attentive and their list has some excellent choices that you can tell, the mixologists just love creating. Live music and excellent service make for a great night and 5 hours fly by! Highly recommended.

We were fortunate to attend a live jazz night with an incredibly talented female lead singer and fantastic band. Creative and delicious cocktails to compliment the interior and entertainment!
