Prince of Wales Pond

Park

👍 Very nice - located close to Blackheath Park. I just happened upon it one day on my way to Greenwich park, but thought it quite lovely (I'm a water girl!) So i came back on another day, and brought lunch. Fish and Chips for me, and seeds for the birds. It was a nice quiet way to spend an or two... Very nice - located close to Blackheath Park. I just happened upon it one day on my way to Greenwich park, but thought it quite lovely (I'm a water girl!) So i came back on another day, and brought lunch. Fish and Chips for me, and seeds for the birds. It was a nice quiet way to spend an or two hour alone, after learning of a friend's death.

Very nice place for resting after long walk or run. You can even bring young kids to have some picnic. Elderly can sit after walk and enjoy the view a little. It gives a little change from city's hustle and bustle. Only selective items should be fed to the ducks, so please one of the pictures to get those only to feed the ducks. Enjoy 😊

I was passing this pond on the 108 bus all the time. I finally got a chance to visit and take photos of the pond and waterfowl.

If you like geese, ducks, swans, and pigeons this really is the best spot on the heath. And right next to the Princess of Wales too so you can get a pint after.

A local institution. Go to Selectric in the Village and buy the duck and swan food. The birds there go berserk for it and will all line up to be fed. We go there every weekend and the kids feed the ducks, geese and swans if they're about. At the end of the day the geese crossing the zebra crossing is always a highlight. If you're in the area it's a lovely place to go.

Nice pond, right next to Blackheath common and Blackheath village. It is a lovely place to walk past if you are in Blackheath, with benches around it to sit and feed the birds if you want to. There are also lots of different birds, including ducks and different types of geese, sometimes there are even ducklings!

Lovely place, very large grass fields around a pond. Different types of ducks, birds and geese. One can spend a good time seeing these birds and doing a lot of photography. Be careful traffic at the roads and take care of your little ones.

Lovely pond with plenty if benches surrounding it. Theres usually an ice cream van in the summer time too. The reason I've given it 4 stars is because the pond, unfortunately, had quite a bit of litter in it, despite there being public rubbish bins available.

Littered with animal poo, otherwise a beautiful spot to watch winter sunsets surrounded by dog walkers, buggies, pigeons, ducks and swans!

We have to go there frequently as my little kid Azooz likes feeding ducks.

I really love this restaurant and go there with my family almost every month! However, today I was very disappointed, the food was served 45 minutes after ordering! Then the burgers were burnt and the fries were cold! We spent more than seventy pounds, you must at least be worthy of the money and service fees we pay you! Very disappointed! Not coming anymore!

Easy to get to, with bus stop nearby, and seating available. Water fowl keen on feeding if you try. Zebra crossing, close by on busy road, used by pedestrians and cyclists.

Peaceful resting place on edge of Blackheath full of ducks and geese. Perhaps a little too full

Slightly too close to the road, exposed etc but birds love it. Often busy. Has seats

Nice little pond on Blackheath adjacent to the Princess of Wales pub. Lots of wildfowl with goslings a few weeks ago and ducklings now.

Spent many childhood memories here playing with toy boats and nets to catch Minos with. Things have changed since then as they have introduced reeds and rushes along with more wild life. Fairly small and shallow pond but nicely kept and a nice place to sit and enjoy the heath. Pub just across the road 😉

I like the birds who are always around.next time i will buy some food for birds and feed them.the area was quiet cause it was evening and there weren't too many people around.is a nice place to relax a bit and admire the birds that are living around the pond.

It's the location location location, yes it's a public house selling refreshing drinks and food, at London prices , yeah it's the area, have a pub lunch sit at pond and watch the wheels go round, go for a walk around black heath centre you'll find all food and drink you can ever want xxx
