the 5 star ratings on this Google thing are scams. don't stay at this hotel if you want what the 5 star ratings are saying.

This B&B definitely sits at the bottom of the pile, even for a budget place. The place is extremely run down and obviously lacking in care and if someone actually cared enough it has the potential to be a lovely place. Many of the issues with this place could be resolved in a matter of minutes at very little cost but obviously the management doesn't care enough to do anything about it. Here's a few: The toilet door in the room doesn't latch when its closed, so if you have the windows in the room open it keeps opening and closing slightly and you get to hear a regular knocking noise throughout the night. The privacy catch on the inside of the room doesn't work so to lock the door from the inside they provide you with a little wooden wedge to jam the door with. The budget divan bed base isn't clipped together so if you bump into the corner of the bed they separate and you get to put the bed back in place yourself. The freestanding wardrobe in the room is literally falling apart and if you open the drawer at the bottom the door drops and you have to hold the door up in order to close the drawer properly. The TV remote has a mind if its own and just stops working even though the light on the remote is flashing still. To resolve this you have to remove and reinsert the batteries and your good to go again for a little while. There isn't a kettle in any of the rooms, there is a communal kettle etc in the hallway so if you want to make a coffee you have to make sure your happy you look presentable to interact with people before you make one. And then there is also the fact that your not allowed visitors at all, so if your having someone meet you there best to make sure that you are ready before they get there or the landlady will have a go at you for bringing guests in. Overall I'd recommend avoiding this place, there are other places to stay locally at affordable rates that are more than accomodating and of a much higher standard.
