The hotel is ideally situated with access to most places very easily. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and very sweet. However, it started with no hot water service on a Sunday at the hotel to which there was no communication of when it will be resolved. Secondly, we were given a discounted offer of £15 per person for breakfast, but were still charged £17.50 per head. I might have let that go if the options to eat were available. Breakfast closes at 10am, however at 9.30am when I advised the restaurant staff that there was nothing available to eat, the response was "what to do? That's how it is". So for £17.50 per head for 4 people (double in Australian dollars), we ate 2 slices of toast, coffee and left. The front staff advised that someone will be contacting me to discuss this. Nearly 40 hours in, and no communication. Day 1 was really good, but day 2 was just bad. I am not a fan of negative reviews, but in this case, I've paid a lot for a service which just wasn't provided. I'm quite disappointed for my first visit to London.

Generally, this hotel is probably really nice. However, we stayed in one of their family-friendly apartments, and it wasn't what we expected. Located in the basement, the room felt dark and stuffy. It was advertised as having air conditioning, yet just had fans. Upon arrival, the room wasn't ready and apparently three others were waiting in the lobby for their rooms to be readied. The location is great and the staff were friendly, it's just not what we expected at that price point.

ETA...The deception continues...in their reply they say they communicated with me after I left...not...didn't happen! RUN!!! This place calls itself "4 star luxury"...not even luxury adjacent! I booked a "two bedroom" apartment...it was an efficiency with 1 queen bed in the main room and a tiny dark room with a twin bed, no windows, and no A/C...AND it is in the basement! Musty and dank...we couldn't stay there it was so bad. We had to stay 1 night and they moved us to a 1st floor "1 bedroom" "4 star luxury" apartment. Check out the photos. I had the 4 star luxury sofa bed! I booked my hotels 5 months or more in advance for better rates...had to rebook this London stay at same day rates...cost me over £1000 more! This hotel did not care...they practice deceptive advertising! No where do they mention this apartment is in the basement...who would book it? Very untrustworthy. We tried working it out with the hotel and dealt with the "manager" but unfortunately she had no real authority to make any decisions...she had to check everything out with her bosses who stayed behind closed doors! I tried reaching out on social media...no reply.

In short: Had to checkout early because the rooms were unbearable. Almost got attacked on the same street just getting there so i had to stay elsewhere. -------- Want to start off by saying the staff were very friendly and professional, and they can only do what the policies are. Hotel room dived in price after I booked from £398 for two nights to £298 for the same time. Checking today the price for a single night is roughly £110. So was scammed on that for sure. The receptionist I spoke with refused a price correction, and did not offer any upgrade for the inconvenience. Upon entering the room it was dreary, seemed to have been refurbished in the early 2000s to late 1990s. There were blood stains on carpets and holes in walls. Which I could have lived with if I payed £110 a night. But what made it unbearable was the lack of working A/C. Spoke to reception and was able to switch rooms straight away, however upon closer inspection this was a room with two single covers etcc and disabled bathroom. Oh and a loose power outlet. Not very safe. Bed was like stone. Not because of its cool temperature but because it was as hard as stone.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay here. The rooms are nice and the one we had was very well maintained. But the best part of the stay was the excellent service. The reception was so so helpful which made our trip that much better. Location is also convenient as it is close to Victoria Station. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends.

Very nice hotel in a really central part of the city. We had a ground level, apartment room which had fridge and cooking facilities, it was well maintained and cleaned to a high standard. The staff were polite & friendly and always available. Our booking included continental breakfast but we paid an extra £5 each to upgrade that to full English which was a good decision. Even though there were a couple of elements missing (didn't see any black pudding, tomatoes or fried eggs), the main components were there, of good quality and cooked well. The location of the hotel was key for us, about 10mins walk from Victoria station and less than 15mins walk from Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. Overall, really pleased with our choice of hotel and will definitely check availability for our next visit.

Location was excellent and convenient (10 min walk) to Victoria Station and the Circle/District lines. Staff was polite and professional. Rooms were a perfect size, clean and well appointed. The breakfast we added to our rooms was well worth it! Varied, extensive and delicious. It's hard to tell too much from the website, but the facilities exceeded my expectations. The outside courtyard is lovely. Only critique was the uncomfortable extra firm bed. All in all a great choice!

This hotel was a great choice for us while we visited London for a few days. The rooms are comfortable (albeit not particularly spacious) and the area is quiet. Even though our room was on the first floor, we weren't disrupted by any commotion outside at all. Since London is such a large and active city, it was nice to come back to a peaceful place in the evenings. On the topic of location, the hotel is within walking distance of Parliament Square and Westminster Abbey. The only issue I had was the firmness of the mattress. I think a few other comments here on Google mention this as well. I asked the front desk to add something to the bed to make it softer and they did it right away. If you think the mattress is too firm, just ask them to add some cushioning.

Stayed for 2 nights. Pros: The hotel is nice, clean, good breakfast, and gardens in front a nice perk (can sip a glass of wine at the end of a day). Cons: Beds are really hard and pillows could be a lot better. Could not check-in until after 6PM. Although the hotel was prepaid in advance through Agoda, the hotel charged upon checkout in error. They partially rectified the error by giving a reimbursement on my credit card in local currency, however since my credit card uses a different currency, I am out of pocket $30 which they will not even bother to address. I have sent multiple emails, with absolutely no response. So why should I be out of pocket when it was their error?? Not good customer service.

This is a modern hotel with great vibes to stay at if you are visiting and touring London. Right by Victoria station, close to good cafe's and lots of attractions. Service is on point, and knowledgeable. There is a cute garden area at the front to chill and have a drink if you'd like. If I return to London I would go back.

Great room for the 3 nights we were staying. Large bed with a lot of space of luggage storage. Really nice size bathrooms with great shower and bath. Room service (breakfast) was always on time and nice and hot. Drinks at the bar were nice with great staff. Outside garden area at the front with seating was a nice change of scenery. Hotel is very central to most of the attractions which is great.

Positives: Good price, great location close to Victoria, friendly staff, good breakfast. Negatives: Six (!) air-conditioning units running day and night in the courtyard underneath our windows = permanent noise. Room overheated to my taste - and it's not really possible to open a window to let some fresh air in since that only makes the noise louder. Bottom line: From this kind of hotel, I expect mainly to get a good night's sleep. Because of the permanent noise from the ACU, I was not able to get that here. Hence, I will not return.

We were in the hotel for three days last week. It was a fantastic experience. Very nice room. Clean and comfy. The hotel sits in a nice area with a quiet front yard where you can have beer when taking a break. About 10 minutes walk to St James park station or Victoria station. Overall I really enjoyed my stay.

Mom and I began a 24 day European vacation in London back in August. 4 days spent in London, our first visit. From the United States. We chose to stay at The Wellington by Blue Orchid. What a splendid stay. The room was beyond cozy, facilities clean and modern, restaurant and lounge bountiful and inviting. I noticed the staff always had a skip in their step and the Manager on duty always made it a point to say hi. Mom and I would arrive in the evenings, after dark, after full days of activities and always felt welcomed. Location of hotel central to everything we wanted to do. We fell in love with London and plan on heading back next September. Can’t wait to stay at the Wellington by Blue Orchid, once again.

Excellent location for getting around. Rooms were clean and fairly good value. Breakfast could have been better with a slightly bigger selection of pastries. No one asked us if we wanted toast at any stage. The tea and coffee pots were a bit small and kept running out. Full English selection was very good. Overall I might well stay here again.

Loved this place. Customer service was good and the hotel was generally clean. They need to upgrade the presentation of their breakfast trays though. Buy new trays or something. Also there was an event going on downstairs around 6pm and we couldn’t get a decent sleep.

Everything at this hotel gets 5 stars. Everything was just wonderful and the things which were not the staff went out of their way to make sure it was addressed. Highly recommended. The location is great, the staff was superb, the accommodation was very good.

This is a brilliant hotel in a heart of London, but surrounded by quieter streets and greenery. The service was excellent and the staff was very polite and welcoming. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. We were in London for my partner’s birthday and I let hotel know. We got an upgrade, balloons in the room and a piece of birthday cake. It was a lovely surprise.

Absolutely stunning hotel accommodation. The staff were all very professional, courteous & friendly. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant, which was delightful & incredibly reasonable for the high standard of cuisine. I would definitely stay again & recommend for anyone visiting London.

Loved the outdoor sitting area to have some drinks in the evening! Service was slow, but I was on vacation so didn't mind too much. A good location, bus station where many tours leave from is about a 10-12 minute walk. The air conditioning in room caused us to wake up alternately sweating and freezing. Nice breakfast!

Such a lovely simple room. All you need and smart but a few maintenance bits to make it 5*. Staff were friendly but didn’t have much interaction with them after checking in. Location is lovely. Short walk to Victoria train station and the Apollo Theatre (wicked).

This place is definitely 5 Stars!!!!! Don’t look no further if you are in search of amazing accommodations in London. We stayed there and everything was amazing. The staff was wonderful and delightful. If you needed it they would get it or find it. The rooms were perfect and the lobby and bar area was a favorite hang out spot for the guests every night. Whenever I travel to the London this is the only place I will stay unless they are booked out. Awesome job! Hotel staff and management, you go above an beyond to provide the hospitality service one would expect. Thank you!

I don’t often write reviews, but wanted to take a moment to comment on how great my stay was. There was a few reviewa that had me a little concerned prior to my stay, however the stay was great. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, it’s a central location close to various stations, room is a good size and comfortable, and we even did the breakfast buffet one day, which was great.

Recently enjoyed a 4 night stay here, the room was very pleasant with a view across the gardens. Bed was large and comfortable, I found the hotel to be clean and the staff were courteous and very friendly. Will be coming here again next time I'm in London.

Great room a really good daily clean. Could do with some luggage racks for cases and the bathroom was huge with no where to put toiletries etc. the courtyard was fantastic but the service was very average. Be prepared to carry your bags up 10 - 12 steps while the staff watch on. The location is just stellar

Centrally located and within walking distance of Victoria Palace Theatre and the Tube station. The room was clean and spacious (Superior Double), but CS could be better and the English Breakfast, well, the Sausage, Bacon and tomatoes had barely winked at the pan. But for the price, in central London, it's a good choice.

Reasonable price and a bit away from the hustle and bustle of London. Nothing spectacular but had a good nights sleep. Not sure why there is a car with neon lights outside the front door though? Some nice shops nearby and a short walk to a nice bakery for breakfast.

Hotel was clean and tidy with a very nice modern room with a bath shower combo. Food from the restaurant was excellent and very well priced. A full English breakfast is available however for £5 ontop of £10 for continental. There was a miscommunication reusulting in nearly missing breakfast on Monday as breakfast is 8-11 on a Sunday and 7-10 the rest of the week. The staff were friendly however there did seem to be very little at some points of my stay

My wife and I stayed at The Wellington for four nights, and we truly enjoyed our time there. Service was excellent, and the bathtub at the room was a pleasant surprise. Furthermore the Wellington is located in a quiet neighbourhood yet in walking distance of Buckingham Palace, Victoria Station, Whitehall and other important places. Thank you very much.

My partner and I booked and paid for executive tween room several months before we arrived in London on 06/08/22. When we checked in, the hotel gave us a much smaller room. Be aware!!
