Extremely disappointing visit. We booked this place months in advance and were looking forward to the meal given the reviews and how hard it was to book. Sunday roast portions were TINY (except the Yorkshire pudding lol) and the meat was SO DRY. + two stars for nice staff and the potatoes & bone marrow But save yourself a visit and go somewhere else that is more convenient to book and serves a proper Sunday roast.

Hands down the best pub !! Lore of the Land offers exceptional food, service, and cocktails. The food is not typical pub food, it is mind blowingly delicious. The steak melts in your mouth as it is perfectly cooked. The plating is beautiful for certain dishes it is like artwork. My drinks were great not watered down (which I find most pubs do) , and the barman was highly skilled. I also love the decor of this pub and how the restaurant part of the pub is separated from the bar. This place can be a great date night spot, as I found the restaurant area to be intimate. I cannot wait to come back to this place for a Sunday roast and take the rest of my family when they visit.

We really enjoyed our visit this Wednesday lunch. We had dishes from the lunch set menu and everything was inventive and tasty. Service was great and the atmosphere inside was similar to a nice gastropub in the countryside. Just wonderful, will certainly come back for more!

Had an outstanding dinner here recently. The menu is seasonal and very elevated for a pub - reminded me more restaurants with big awards. Phenomenal soda bread, omelet , beef Tartar, lamb chops with lamb hearts and peas, sirloin perfectly cooked etc… all Well seasoned and executed properly. Only thing I found ok was the ox tongue. The house beer was delicious. Service was good, with only objection they are trying hard to up-sale you alcohol , to the point we told them off :) When the bill came it was £60/ head for huge amount of food - so probably estimate £40-60 per person. Go!

Held my daughters 30th Birthday here in the private room upstairs. Hands down the best evening we have ever had in the UK. The food, the wine, the EXCELLENT, AND FRIENDLY service (special shout out to the Polish Waiter - apologies, we can't remember your name? Who was just wonderful!!) The atmosphere EVERYTHING about Lore of The Land cannot be equaled. Just great. Thank you, LOTL team !!

This is a pub that leans towards higher end, fine dining food - service was great. The starters are quite pricey but food quality is good. I loved my main dish (duck) and potatoes. However, one thing to improve is definitely the temperature, too hot on a Summer day without air conditioning. The environment felt a bit crowded although serving higher end food. Will try again in Winter!

3 of us had a fantastic Saturday lunch .. the restaurant manager (Alex) and his staff made our afternoon from the moment we arrived. Some of the best customer service we had enjoyed ever . Alex went to the cellar to find the wine for us and also recommended an alternative Argentinian semillon which we also enjoyed .. the presentation of the food and taste was excellent- the afternoon could not have been better . Thank you to Romanian waiter who’s name I can’t remember. Great afternoon. We will be back

We had a starters only dinner the other night and each plate topped our expectations! The brilliance of flavours and soul behind each bite is really exceptional. The staff is so kind and friendly and the kitchen folk are dedicated to the best experience. We went back again a couple days later to try the pork loin and it was divine. Do try the triple-cooked potatoes—they both crunch and dissolve in your mouth! If you’re considering Sunday brunch you could be looking at a 2-3 month wait as they’ve topped the review charts in a few key publications. Word is out!

A wonderful pub. Gets very very busy here after work but if you are lucky enough to nab yourself a table then you have to try the food. Good quality and super tasty. The oysters are especially good as they dress them with some sort of herb oil and other goodies. Also the doughnuts was amazing. I tend not to like sweet foods but I definitely recommend trying this. We ordered one to share but had to get a second! The staff are also wonderful! We have mainly eaten in the bar area but there is also a restaurant upstairs.

Last week our company had a Christmas dinner at Lore of the land. The team made it very special for us. Very attentive, friendly and hardworking staff. The atmosphere, authentic design, absolutely delicious meals - everything was 10 out of 10! Thank you so much for your service, we felt welcomed and had a great time. I highly recommend to visit this place !

Really enjoyed this meal, the highlight for me was actually the chocolate creamoux! The roast was good but I feel there could have been a few more sides, it comes with potatoes, carrots, red cabbage & a yorky. I think there could have also been stuffing or something to bulk it out but otherwise really nice. I also had a picante cocktail which was fab!

Very nice place. The food is good but the price for that seems a little excessive. Service was like high-end dining experience. Was also not clear to me there are 2 menus, pub and restaurant. My bad.

Really enjoyed my visit. Not least because we were sat next to Henry Cavill! Food, beer and wine was extremely good. English pub cuts with a a stylish twist Bursting with different flavours. We had beef tartare, oysters, cod roe on toast and then I had lamb rack for my main. Everything was spot on. The only note I’d leave is for the waiting staff to take a small step back. A little in your face with frequency of “are you ok” and slightly pushy for the order even though we left our left out table with loads of time to spare for their next booking. Minor complaint on a otherwise brilliant night.

Been meaning to pop in for a while based solely on my love for Guy Ritchie and beer. I had a Ruby, a lager and an IPA, all lovely. Was a big fan of the atmosphere, the staff were really friendly and up for a chat. A good old fashioned pub in Central London, will try some of the food next time. Reasonably priced too.

We ate upstairs. Was cozy, and the perfect atmosphere for a work lunch. Staff were very friendly and kitchen had an excellent set up. Once 5pm hit the after work crowd arrived and the place was pumping.

Was sat at the chefs counter which was amazing. The food was great and the new head chef Michal is very talented and controls his talented team with grace and professionalism. The pork loin and oysters are a must have, my girlfriend loved the sides especially the truffle mayo with the crispy potatoes. Nothing else to say but you can’t go wrong here.

A really great pub experience in London, which I always find a little difficult to find more centrally in town. It’s got a cool, classic feel to it - adorned throughout with classic photos, paintings and wood finishing. The prices for drinks are a little higher owing to the pub serving their own brewed beers; but that likely helps maintain their more sophisticated crowd which was an added bonus. The session IPA is great and my wife really enjoyed the vast gins on offer. Will most definitely be returning!

🚇 Warren Street 🍺 £6.50 Angel Lore Craft Lager ❤️ Guy Ritchies upmarket Gastropub. . Nested in a quiet street in Fitzrovia you’ll find The Lore of the Land. This pub sits in the shadow of the BT tower and just a five minute walk from Warren Street tube. Just at the end of the street is Fitzroy square gardens which is a lovely place to have a stroll around. . This Georgian building dates back to the late 1700’s and began life as a pub in 1829. No expense has been spared on the decor here, you definitely get the feeling you are somewhere posh. As you enter the bar the splendid servery is on the right hand side. At the front of the bar are poser tables which is where I sat, at the back there are a number of tables, chairs and benches. Around the rich green walls there are a number of pictures/paintings depicting people and scenes of the past. There is an upstairs dining room complete with a dining counter overlooking the kitchen. . The beer choice was something different and was predominantly beers from Guy Ritchies Wiltshire brewery @gritchiebrew . There were a number of Pale Ales, IPA’s and luckily for me a lager which wasn’t bad at all. When it comes to the food, things go up a notch, the menu is small but perfectly formed. The diverse seasonal menu consists of snacks, small plates and mains. A big favourite here are the Sunday roasts, the dry aged beef ribeye will set you back £29 which although is expensive the reviews speak for themselves, the food here is outstanding! . I visited mid afternoon on a Tuesday and there were a few punters in and the atmosphere was chilled. It did liven up before I left as a large group walked in as I walked out, I have that effect on people 😀. The staff here are very professional, pleasant and well presented. This pub is suitable for whatever your occasion is. . On this visit I was here for beer and not for the deer so can only feedback on my drinking experience. I thought the @loreofthelandpub was excellent and gives you lots of good pub vibes. At this posh pub they have found the right balance to cater for both drinkers and diners alike so you feel comfortable whatever the purpose of your visit. I’m a big fan of @guyritchie films and now a big fan of this pub. . ℹ️ Information correct on visiting 06/09/22

Been meaning to go here for quite some time and recently took a client here for a business lunch. Mr Ritchie you didn't fail to disappoint. The staff were excellent the food was simply spectacular - my compliments to your chef. Top marks for my pint of Gritchie and my Bloody Mary was on point too 👌🏼🙌🏼 Going back in again next week and taking yet more clients as the atmosphere and decor is first class also. Loved the nod to man's best friend at the entrance too 🐶 even sat in Mr Beckham's chair - Lore of the Land - Just Brilliant 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Went to celebrate my friend's birthday, the staff is super welcoming and sweet, we tried a variety of dishes and they were all top notch including coffee and dessert, the atmosphere is lovely...only issue - we have called upfront to amend the booking for more people to surprise my friend and were assured she wouldn't be notified about the change. Unfortunately she was and it spoilt a well planned bday surprise for her. Easy mistake to make but surely was a bit of a disappointment 🥲

Drink here! Damn, that's one cozy little ... Is it a pub? Anyway, went there on vacation, had a pint there and decided to return every day of that vacation. Well, some nasty virus kept me from fulfilling my plans. Back to Lore of the Land: Great staff, fun people. Neat assortment of lagers! Craft? Brewed in house? I think something like that. Well, I didn't come for the story of that lager, but the lager itself. As said before: Drink here!

This o an independent pub and restaurants, with a lovely decorated interior. There is a small range of craft beers on tap that's brewed by the micro brewery. A nice atmosphere and very clean. The staff are willing to help and are always on hand. This is a lovely little pub in an residential area of Fitzrovia central London.

Good Quality Sunday Roast, the potatoes the best part of it, the gravy could have a bit more taste. Good service as well.

Always love coming here. Nice little boozer. Relaxed, welcoming, friendly. Great mix of after work crowd, tourists, friends and folks from further afield. He does a decent beer does the Guv'nr. And the food continues to go from strength to strength. Brilliant staff, knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend a little stop off. You won't be disappointed.

Divine birthday dinner here. Excellent wine list and every dish we had was delicious. Highlight was the mussels. Only minor niggle was that the tables were quite small and it felt like a bit of a squeeze for 8 of us. But can’t wait to return, even if just for a drink downstairs in the lovely wood panelled pub.

Downstairs is a very nice pub and upstairs is a great gastro pub. Lucky to have snuck in at lunch and sat at the chef's counter. Staff is all very friendly and warm.

Fantastic pub in central london. Tastefully decorated to keep a feel of a proper London boozer, yet stylish at the same time The Sunday roaster was fantastic - best roast we have had in ages. On tip of which the staff were lovely, helpful and friendly It is priced as would be expected in central london, so b prepared to splash out Can’t recommend enough

Popped in for a dinner … fri eve … totally delicious. They’re making- and succeeding- lovely food here . I loved the choice too… 2 desserts plus cheese. I wasn’t in the mood for fancy wine but I could see some serious red Bordeaux classed growths too alongside the more everyday options. Great service, I’ll be back with others ! Amazed it’s not more well known- but maybe that’s just my ignorance!

This place is great! The staff were all super friendly and helpful, the drink selection is top notch. The food was the highlight though, I would recommend the duck hearts and the ribeye steak, they were banging!

We came here for a Sunday roast and the pub itself is super nice and rustic. I got the beef rib eye - the beef had some chewy and fatty parts but was mostly decent. The carrots and hispi cabbage were good but the potatoes were dry. The roasted bone marrow was a great addition and something you don't see often at roasts. However, as it's £29 (steeper end of a roast), I expected it to be better. The staff were really attentive and constantly checking up on us.

This place is great! The best customer service anywhere! The bar itself is really warm, welcoming and authentic looking. Prices are good and my husband liked the house beers very much.
