Great place for lunch at the Kings cross branch. We had not booked and waited 15 minutes to be seated at the bar. Kyle looked after us and was knowledgeable about the dishes and was very polite and attentive. He also gave us a tour of the restaurant and provided a history of the place. The food was excellent and presented well. Would recommend a visit. Thanks again to Kyle a real asset to Dishoom..

The food was amazing as always, one of the best indian places in London! Huge selection of veggie/chicken/lamb/prawn dishes, with sauces or grilled. The only thing to take into account is that the lunch kitchen opens at 12:00 so if you come earlier you will have to wait. They also have a craft beer which was really good, made for them (Dishoom Craft IPA), although it’s not very bitter like a regular IPA.

+Absolutely amazing food. They know what they are doing - the flavors are just right, it reminded me strongly of the food i ate in india. Very authentic! Will be back for sure. - it is definitely a downside that you cannot make a reservation for 2 people (only for a group). We came 6 pm on Sunday and the wait was 1h (you have to physically be there, but they let you have a drink inside at the bar). We were given a choice to also just eat at the bar, instead of a low table seat. We took it and it was just lovely. We got a great barman, he was so kind and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for food.

Gorgeous decor! Located within an old warehouse/storehouse which retains a lot of original features this Dishoom brings the place to life in a very empathetic way and the tiled toilets are too lovely! Staff on my trip were wonderful and inviting without being too pushy or intrusive, they were welcoming from the moment of coming in with smiles and helpful attitudes and accommodated us in a harmonious way. The vegan Bombay breakfasts were delicious but were almost totally reminiscent of a standard greasy spoon just with a higher price point but, the flavour of all the items was vastly different which lead to a more exciting palate experience, which I would probably have again, although would perhaps try the other items on what is a generous vegan menu. Drinks were tasty and a standard price point. All in all I will 100% be going back! Hopefully the Permit room will be open for cocktails as even just walking through it conjures up times of old.

It was a delightful dining experience. It is crowded especially on the weekends and there was long wait to enter the restaurant. They have dining space in 3 floors and great ambiance. Staffs were very nice and friendly. Will come again!

Finally experienced Dishoom and I can say I was not disappointed at all! We booked this for my sister's birthday, she loved it. The restaurant was lovely and the ambience fit in with the theme of tthe cuisine. To top it off as we didn't order a dessert they took the cost of the birthday girl's drink off our bill. Will definitely be back!

We shamelessly visited this place for breakfast twice in a row because we were so delighted with the setting of the place and the delicious hearty breakfast. By the way, the house cha is to die for. It is so enjoyable to sip the spicy tea on a cold morning. And the best part is that it is refillable!

The ambiance and decor of Dishoom Restaurant exude an inviting and elegant atmosphere that immediately captivates guests upon entering. The interior is tastefully designed, with a perfect balance of modern and rustic elements. Soft lighting casts a warm glow throughout the space, creating a cozy and intimate setting for diners. The carefully chosen color palette of muted earth tones adds to the overall soothing ambiance. The service quality and attentiveness of staff at Dishoom Restaurant left a lasting impression on my dining experience. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The waitstaff's friendly demeanor and prompt response to my inquiries instantly made me feel welcome.

Took my boyfriend here on a date. Booked months in advance yet we still waited over an hour to sit down at the table. There is always a queue outside the door. When we were sat down, the staff and service were amazing. The food was great! No complaints. You have to pick a couple of dishes - kind of like tapas. There were a lot of Christmas parties so the atmosphere was loud. The place was packed out (as usual).

Being an Indian I can tell that the taste of food is not as good as their history, theme and interiors of the restaurant..!!!! If you are going only for taste then there are many better options available in London..!!! But still worth a visit...!!

A must visit place , the moment I entered I was in the land of nostalgia being partly brought up in Mumbai. The decor of the place represents a top notch Iranian cafe and have been really well thought of. The food is authentic and delicious, be it the bhel puri , black dal or chicken tikka and not to forgotten the start jackfruit biryani. The pau did lack a buttermilk tanginess and the fluffiness of what we get back home but was quite close. The cocktails are not what you usually get in a restaurant have their own uniqueness to it, tried the old fashioned bourbon one thoroughly enjoyed it. How can anyone not have the cutting chai tried the chocolate one which was a great twist to the real chai. Overall definitely a must visit , I would have given half star more if google allows.

A great place for brunch. Nice spacious restaurant with excellent table service. Arranged over two floors. The food is delicious, nice naan breads, spicy chicken dishes to name but a few. Quite an unusual combo of sausage in naan bread, but it was absolutely delicious. The portion size is generous. The only criticism I have for this restaurant is that the lighting is very dark inside. Other than that it is definitely worth a visit and you may have to book ahead as it does get very busy.

An AMAZING experience , a definite must-try! The vibes, food, and service were outstanding. Although we initially waited in line for about 30-45 minutes (better to reserve ahead), they kept us warm with mint tea and Chai, which was much appreciated in the cold weather. We ordered the Ruby Chicken, Mutton Pepper Fry, Gunpowder Potatoes, and Naan bread – all incredibly tasty and delicious. 😋 We certainly will come back soon.

Really nice experience and worth it to try at least once while in London. We were in the queue for 45 minutes, but they were offering hot tea so it wasn't too bad. Once we got in, we were shown to the bar downstairs to wait another 10-15 minutes. The atmosphere inside is amazing. The layout, smells, and sounds are beautiful. Once at our table there was a bit of a mix up between the servers with two people getting us water and introducing the menu, but it was figured out and wasn't a problem. The menu is exquisite, making it incredibly difficult to choose from, but the staff had some good recommendations and everything we ordered tasted amazing. Each drink or dish costs between 10 and 20£, so that can add up pretty quickly. Overall a wonderful experience.

Amazing Indian restaurant. Maybe it’s not authentic in some food way but it’s really tasty. Haven’t tried anything that was not good and flavorful. My personal best was cheese naan (that in my opinion remind more little brother of Georgian khachapuri but still really good) and lamb chops. Pretty busy so make sure to book at least day or two in advance.

Have visited Dishoom King's Cross many times before and it is one of my favourite Indian restuarants in London which hits full marks on food, drinks, venue and staff/service. The Bombay style food served here is going to be some of the best food you try outside of India. All their dishes have brillaint layering of spices which builds up to make delicious, bold and comforting food you will just keep going back for. Dishes to definitely are the Chilli Chicken (for spice lovers), Nihari (slow cooked lamb shank) and the Mutton Pepper Fry (a reduced down curry to make an intense gravy with soft and flavoursome mutton pieces), all mopped up with some naan and roomali roti... Can't beat it! The staff and service as always are great, they make you feel instantly welcome and you won't be waiting long to be served your drinks and food. A restaurant you definitely must try!

Have a plan B, even if you book. Made a booking for 9pm, but the day before, the restaurant asked us to come at 8.30 instead. We arrived slightly before then, then had to queue outside and eventually got in at 9pm anyway. We were served at 9.20. Had two tables for 4 booked, and half of our group gave up and went somewhere else. Under the current COVID rules, they had to close at 10pm, so the whole thing was horribly rushed. It is very obvious that they are driven by money money money. Maximise their profit at the expense of the experience of some of the customers. This was a very poor experience indeed. It was supposed to be a special evening out, but it really was ruined by the restaurant. I know the 10pm closing time is not their fault, but they shouldn't have taken on our booking if they didn't have the capacity.

Very welcoming, charming staff fashionably dressed and cool— a female then a male helped me with my suitcase upstairs and down again. Delicious Persian-Indian food, aromatic, finely marinaded with delicious seasoning. Fried Okra far far better than french fries could ever be. A lovely remodelled industrial space, including the gorgeously tiled clean toilets in basement.

One of the best restaurants that serve Indian food in London. They have several branches in London. The prices were appropriate, the location was excellent, and the service was good. The restaurant should be booked in advance., highly recommended

Went for brunch, loved my banana date porridge. Very comforting on a cold day! Really appreciating the unlimited serving (despite not having gotten seconds, I think the option to is nice), and the oat chai was lovely!! Looking forward to returning for dinner one day

From the moment we walked in, we received excellent customer service from the bar staff downstairs, while waiting for a table. We enjoyed great cocktails/mocktails, before we enjoyed a delicious meal. The food was fresh and very tasty, great flavours and a wide choice of dishes on the menu. The waiters were friendly and kind. Overall a great dining experience. Will be back!

Dishoom never disappoints. This is the 4th one I’ve been to and it’s still the best Indian food I’ve had in the UK. Its appreciated how regardless of their popularity, the service remains very friendly, customer centric and rapid as well. The food is incredible. The must have is the Dahl, but my personal favourite is the chicken ruby curry. Super fragrant but creamy at the same time. Also highly recommend getting a biryani and the lamb chops. But honestly nothing I’ve had here has ever disappointed, it’s all great

Had an enjoyable lunch at Dishoom. The maitre d came over once we sat down and went through the whole menu giving his feedback on the dishes and if they were too spicy. This is something I have not experienced before but was a very personal and welcomed touch. We decided on around 6 dishes to share between 4 of us. Food was very good and the dishes had their own unique tastes. Prices are on the high side. Side dishes start at £4 and mains from £12. Expect to pay £20-£30 each without drinks.

Great in a pinch, but you can never visit in a pinch so it’s not worth it. There’s always a queue so you’ll have to either wait or make a booking. For the amount you wait and the money you spend it’s disappointing. I’ve visited a few times and tried many things. The okra fries stand out as a unique offering to try. Honourable mentions go to: vegan sausage roll, ruby chicken, and vada pau. Decor is stellar and service is usually good too. Depending on the branch seating can range from good to inconvenient to downright ridiculous table/chair placements. Have you ever tried eating curry sitting on a sofa off a coffee table? Who plans this stuff?

Love this place! Great diverse menu, ideal for sharing. The restaurant doesn’t usually take reservations, so if you go have lunch or dinner at peak time you are very likely to wait 30min, but in the meantime you will be seated at the bar where you can enjoy a drink before getting to your table. The food is delicious I recommend the chaat and panneer.

Ate here for the first time and it won’t be the last. The food was amazing and exceeded my expectations. I’ve heard lots of people talk about this establishment but I was very sceptical however I was not disappointed. Lots of dietary options. Good service but extremely busy. Make sure you make a reservation otherwise it’s a long wait outside.

Visited Dishoom for the first time this week and had a lovely experience, we were quickly seated and talked through the large menu by Hamza who was very helpful and friendly. Our starters and food came quite promptly and it did not disappoint, it was delicious and filling. I hope to visit again to try different dishes, and recommend anyone to give it a try.

Recommended by several friends, this is how an upscale Indian restaurant is done! Delicious foods and delicious prices and quite a variety too. I had the breakfast at this location and the granola and chocolate chai was just perfect. The chai has free refills too if one glass isn’t enough (hint, it might not be!)

We dropped in. The anticipated wait was an hour and 45 minutes. They served tea and wine in the outside lineup. We made it into the bar area for drinks within 30 minutes. The atmosphere and service were beautiful. We had the best dinner after what did not feel like a long wait. Mushrooms were the best.

Absolutely flawless experience. Firstly, expect a wait outside- we arrived about 5:45 on a Tuesday and the wait was about 45 minutes. We were offered hot drinks while we waited. You can only book for groups of 6 or larger. After queuing we were taken down to a bar area while they waited for a table to become available. The service was really prompt and we were given an alcohol menu and an alcohol free menu. You're handed a buzzer for the table, and the staff find you when your table is ready. This part of the experience was so seamless, the level of organisation between all the staff was amazing. There are a LOT of tables and the restaurant is very busy. There is so much atmosphere in the room and its very beautifully decorated, but don't expect a quiet space with privacy. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu, offered good advice based on our tastes and were acutely aware of allergens. They checked in on us at appropriate times and we never felt rushed, even though we knew how much of a queue was likely outside. The food was absolutely outstanding, and reasonably priced. I thought Dishoom was an expensive restaurant but it is no more expensive than many high street chains. The depth of flavour across everything we ate was so rich. We were absolutely silent while eating because we were so invested in the meal. At the end of the meal we ordered a pot of tea for two made with fresh mint, which was a lovely palate cleanser. Without any reservations at all I completely recommend going to a Dishoom when you are able. This was a truly top shelf experience and we'll be back again soon.

We had such a wonderful time! I recommend 100% the Colaba Colada, delicious cocktail ! The food was also exquisite and full of flavours ! The chili chicken was indeed very very spicy, a bit too much maybe because the taste was so good but too spicy to continue 🥵 (and I love spicy!) To conclude, great value for money and thank you for this great experience !

The atmosphere of this place was just wonderful. It’s a big space with three levels so ample of seating space but it does get busy very fast! The menu has a wonderful selection to choose from, the food all tastes absolutely incredible. From the chutney flavours to the vibrant biryani. The Indian spiced drinks pair very well with all the food! Would definitely recommend a visit, one dish and one drink will be around 15 each.

A wonderful time and a great meal - the service was good although our starters were messed up - all the staff were knowledgeable and friendly - the toilets were clean but a long way away from the first floor - the building is amazing and this gives you a great atmosphere - I was surprised by the 12.5 percent service charge something to think about - the chilli in the mutton dish were extremely hot if fact inedible - overall we had a great time even with the service charge I believe it was a very reasonable price and good value

What an incredible place! Don't be discouraged by the queue, it's pretty fast, and once inside you'll discover a beautiful exotic train station. Food is one of the most authentic indian I had and personnel is polite, kind, present and will make you feel like a queen on a journey in India. A special recognition to our waiter Maria for making our dinner even more special, thank you for your attention to gluten free food. My friend and I appreciate deeply. I have been consistently ordering from them during the lockdown to support local businesses, however, I have noticed that the quality has gone down significantly. The chicken kati roll comes with 2-3 boneless chicken cubes, the paratha is usually falling apart indicating that it is probably stale, the broccoli salad is a hit or miss, sometimes it is made with date and seeds other times the ingredients are missing. The pepper lamb curry was so awful once that we had to throw the whole thing. I will definitely not order again.

Hands down one of the top restaurants in London for me. It’s a more upscale Indian restaurant with their own twist. Highly recommend making a reservation. If not, waiting while having one of their delicious cocktails always helps. I went for dinner and breakfast during my visit. Their breakfast always has a special place in my heart and I’d recommend it to anyone. This picture was taken when I visited last year.

Had a wonderful time when we came here last to celebrate a birthday. What was especially good service was that Petra, our waitress was very attentive. She heard that we were ready for drinks while serving another table and came over. She heard that it was my friend's birthday and she brought a cake and candle without being asked for it which I thought was exceptional good service. Thhank you Petra!

As satisfied as with my previous in Shoreditch: the service here is flawless, and brings the dining experience to another level! We came to celebrate a friend’s exam, and the staff got even more caring and treated her to dessert, in addition to drinks for lining outside (we had booked but they ran a little late). Incredible! The flavours of dishes are exquisite, we share 6 plates for 3 (usually they advise 2-3 per person) and it was perfect for not too hungry people! The ruby chicken and vegetable side were my favourites this time, and if you like very strong dark chocolate go for their fondant served with an intense cinnamon ice cream!!

Second time I’ve had a Dishoom breakfast and once again the humble bacon & egg naan roll takes the prize for best dish. So delicious. There are certain items on the menu that really hit the spot, however most of it don’t have that wow factor. What is going for Dishoom is it’s interior design and ambience . Food is priced high, is it worth ??? Maybe a one time experience

Ate at this branch yesterday, 22/10/2020.When reserving was asked if it was a celebration, I stated it was my partners birthday. On arriving we were asked twice who's birthday it was. Then absolutely nothing. If we hadn't been asked on booking it wasn't an issue. It became one as we were asked and at the restaurant. To be then ignored was unpleasant and impersonal. We spent 74.00, sure a scoop of ice cream with a birthday wish wouldn't have been too much, or maybe I am wrong?? This was my 4th visit, my partners first. While we ate well, some of the dishes were not the best. I think they need to look at the lamb cutlet dish and ask are they really value for money and adequate at 2 lollypop sized chops cooked to death? We didn't complain at the time as they were eaten, but to be honest after one bite they were finished so what were we to do.? The biriyani is normally stunning, not on this occasion, we left most of it, the spicing was heavy handed and the chicken seemed old.The Prawns were beautiful but at almost 13.00 again a very small portion. Look, I know they are a chain and these are tough times, but this meal was definitely up to there usual very high standards. As stated this was my 4th visit, I have never complained before, shows it wasn't right yesterday..thank you..

Beautiful food. I just wish they served it on the little heated trays, like in other Indian restaurants. I’ve been a few times and the food has always ended up stone cold before I’ve had a chance to finish it all. If it wasn’t for that, I would’ve given five stars.

Such a delicious brunch. My flatmate and I shared an egg naan roll and the granola, and had delicious chocolate chai and a cardamom & rose lassi on thr side. Weekend perfection!

Fantastic vegan breakfast, everything was seasoned perfectly and portion was enough to start your day! Definitely recommend

Appalling experience. Everything about this place is rotten. You would think that making a reservation by phone, receiving two emails to confirm reservation and then a text message (with the wrong time on it) and then another call from the restaurant to confirm reservation two days beforehand and then another call from myself on the day itself would pretty much guarantee you would actually get in to eat. WRONG!! We queued for 40 mins only to be told that half of our group could get in!! There was no explanation or apologies to all of us freezing ourselves outside. We had chosen this place as it was a special occasion to celebrate our 100th different indian restaurant visited in the last 8 years. Well, without doubt it was the worse one by a country mile. Do not, i repeat, DO NOT visit this place. Ended up having a pizza round the corner. Nice staff, fast service and accommodating. Take note Dishoom before you Dishout any more catastrophic service.

Dishoom is always a great place to visit. Today was another such day. I came from Dubai, to visit and just have a good breakfast on my birthday. Bit crazy it may sound, but sometimes things you love the most, must be lived.

Brilliant food and service as always at Dishoom. Must haves to order are the house black daal, the okra fries, the mutton pepper fry, and the mutter paneer. The chocolate fondant with chilli ice cream is a lovely way to finish a delicious meal.

Absolutely incredible our server for the evening was so patient explaining every dish and the history behind the restaurant. We had the best time for my boyfriends birthday and we’ll definitely be coming back here and recommending to as many people as we can! thank you for an enjoyable experience!

I adore this restaurant. An excellent variety of dishes and quite good prices. I have visited many times, tried quite a few starters and also mains and desserts! All of these great. Apart from the delicious food, the place looks fantastic. Very interesting design, with high ceilings that make the place feel lively and spacious (which actually is!). Very friendly waitress and waitresses - the only downside is the waiting time. Book ahead as the waiting line can be pretty long, although the personnel are kind enough and offer delicious chai while waiting. Definitely a must!

Interesting dishes on the menu. Very interesting decor. We'll trained wait or who made it a memorable dinner experience.

Very nice venue in an old train warehouse. As we were not sure we could make a reservation, we walked in and were offered to have a drink but we got our table before we could even complete our order. The food and drink menus are so descriptive we could not read them entirely. The food was overall good but somes dishes were better than others (the black daal was delicious).

Food was really tasty, not the best naan we've tasted, but still good. Raita has too much onion for me, but my boyfriend enjoyed it. Chocolate pudding was WOW! As well as the cinnamon ice cream. Staff was very polite. The place was lovely. Although, if you want to got (let's say) for a date after 5, you have to wait for 30-45' (even if it is one of the weekdays) as they don't accept bookings after 5 (at least for 2 people, idk if they accept for more, I didn't tried)

Believe the hype! Went to Dishoom with a group of 7 having been unable to unfortunately book a table. However, staff were accommodating and we were happy to wait, which took much less time than expected. Definitely recommend going in the early afternoon if you don’t have a booking. The food was exceptional, we tried to sample as many dishes as possible and the standouts were easily the House Black Dahl and the Chicken Biryani. Although we weren’t let down by a single dish. Prices are reasonable and the staff were excellent and very attentive. The restaurant itself is presented beautifully with lots of fascinating sights and smells. Dishoom is certainly not one to miss!

Went there without a booking and the waiting times weren’t bad. We got a table pretty quickly considering the place was packed. The service was nice. Our order got a bit mixed up but the staff sorted it, apologised and gave us that dish for free. The food is really good and a great representation of restaurants in Mumbai. Surprisingly not very expensive.

Food is so good. Cocktails even better. Love the decor & the atmosphere of the place. The staff were very attentive. Can't fault it at all

I've been here many times for food and always loved it. This time I had breakfast and it was just FAB! Food is so tasty, cooked perfectly and the staff were really friendly, helpful and attentive. Really recommend the Bloody Mary! This is fast becoming my favourite London restaurant.

Always go for the mutton pepper fry. It’s such a rich tender delicious curry. It’s soo different to anything Iv ever tasted. Dishoom never fails to impress, would highly recommend for dining alone or with friends. The kings cross branch is particularly nice, but the aesthetic across the branches are all quite cool.

We've been a few times and always attentive and friendly staff, food is lovely and recommend the Chicken Ruby. Our 9 year old enjoyed exploring the flavours and our 5 year old found some food to enjoy too. I'd always recommend booking as we went for 2 and there was already a 90 minute wait. book to avoid disappointment

Wow! Food is definitely superb as they say, but forget being spontaneous with a walk in, table has to be reserved not less than a week in advance otherwise you won't find any available. It is worth the wait anyway! Ask the staff for advice if you don't know what to order, I would definitely recommend to try their famous lamb. It is a bit expensive but I highly recommend it!

An extremely good breakfast, and really, really fantastic service. They were working on short staff, got me seated sooner than they said they could and really worked their tails off to make sure everything went well. Good service. Very good food too, and excellent value.

A tasty Indian experience. -1 star for the service at the bar, but we had an amazing waitress during the dinner service. Whatever your order, the okra fries and the dahl are a great complement. Everything was really nice, cocktail menu included (loved the sours) and IPA

My favourite Dishoom in London so far. 5 star service as always. I still have to try Shoreditch. The restaurant is in 4 levels and has an authentic ambiance. We ordered our favourite Vegan Bombay Breakfast! We tried Bloody Mary & Espresso Martini for the first time. Definitely had a kick!

Long wait, super busy, reservation is only for 6+ people. When you try the food, you will know why. Amazing Indian food with authentic Indian spices and flavors. Everything on the menu is a Must-Have.

Went here for a late lunch as a group of 13 without a booking and got in straight away. Nice decor and more importantly good food. We were bought the cook book and my husband has made the chai and the black lentils so had to try those. Have to say that the cookbook and the husband were very good as I couldn’t tell the difference! Recommend buying it.

Lovely place for Indian full English breakfast..Big Bombay. They added their own herbs to baked bean and scramble eggs and dress up with coriander. A bit different than the other restaurant. Very asian foods style of breakfast. We told the waiter the bacon is a bit dry and overcooked. They took away one of the breakfast cost as a compensation. Service is good and fast although they have many customers inside the restaurant..Good ambience in the restaurant. The space is big and I like the modern interior design of the restaurant. it is easy to get a table even through you don't booked online.

The food, people, and atmosphere here were splendid.🥰 We stopped by a day before we got a reservation, and the queue was literally too long! Make sure you get an appointment first!

One the iconic Dishooms in London! The industrial architecture and decor are a masterpiece, the staff is so lovely and efficient and the food tasty and spicy as expected from the Dishoom name. It's no cheap but not crazy expensive (cocktails a little over £10. Great and large selection of non alcoholic cocktails/drink!!). It's a nice treat and especially agreable as a group so you can order many different dishes to taste and share. The reservation policy is very specific (up to 5.45pm, and after 6pm only groups of 6 or more. And that's only a very tables...) Therefore be prepared to queue for up to 1h30 on key evenings like Fridays and Saturdays. Personal favourites: Brocoli Salad, Lamb Sheekh Kebab, Black Dahl, Mutton Pepper Fry and any Naan (the cheese naan is cheeeesy)

I am quite confused about this place. The vibe and the design of this place is quite beautiful and joyful! I can’t say otherwise… but the food?! I will give it a 5/10… I have tried a lot of Indian food and this one wasn’t the best. It’s not bad ..but it’s not reflecting the real taste of Indian food according to my opinion. I was quite excited to go before visiting London but I go so disappointed .. the food was dry (the Kati roll was so dry? 😭), not enough aromas.. mh yeah. I will only recommend this place if you’re looking for a fun place with a fun vibe but nothing more :(

Had my birthday lunch here and it was amazing. The staff all remembered and brought out a dessert with a candle which was very sweet. The food was full of flavour and arrived promptly. We had the best time and the atmosphere was brilliant. Highly recommend and a huge well done to the staff who were on shift during lunch today.
