Best park for miles and miles around...2 kids playgrounds fit with climbing frames, sandpits and summer pool. There are the feeding of the ducks, the tennis courts, watersports, mini golf, volley ball, bowls, table tennis, large area to play football and any other sport, an Athletic track with stadium..... by far the best thing.

A small pretty park, great for children. Went there last week, unfortunately part of the walkway around the lake and the waterfall gardens was closed but we still had fun πŸ˜„. Went around 3 and the childrens park was busy but bearable. Lovely in the sun combined with an ice cream from the little shop. The tennis club along with people having picnics on the grassy area just creates a lovely, active atmosphere. The ducks and swans in the lake are so friendly too, they kept coming up to the boardwalk, however just be aware this may scare younger children, or your child may scare the animals if they chase them around. Parking spaces is limited but parking is free. Two main entrances and free public toilets featured.

We went to this park for a walk after dinner. It’s such a nice exercise or walking spot. The street leading to the park has free off-street parking after 8:30pm. The park has some parking spots as well. I think you need to buy a ticket. There are tennis court, mini-golf, table tennis, volleyball court. There is a pond for rowing as well. The trails are perfect for running and walking. High recommend if anyone keen on outdoor sports or group party πŸŽ‰

First week in July - this is the perfect place to spend 8hrs+ of your day. Relax. Knowing no more rushing around because you will be stationary for the entire period. Boredom isn't an issue because there are official Wimbledon story tellers who will share amusing anecdotes of why you're not moving and you can have a new and vastly different story every hour. You can also learn phrases like "why aren't we moving?", "this is a joke" and "I've been here since 4am, 5am, 6am and 7am" in 14 different languages. For the full experience - go when there is a forecast for wind and rain.

Wimbledon Park, situated in the southwest of London, is a delightful green oasis that complements the prestigious Wimbledon neighborhood. Spanning approximately 200 acres, this public park provides a serene retreat for residents and visitors, offering a blend of recreational facilities, scenic landscapes, and historical charm. The park's centerpiece is its expansive lake, where swans gracefully glide across the water, adding a touch of tranquility. Boating is a popular activity, allowing visitors to leisurely explore the lake's beauty. The lakeside promenade provides a picturesque setting for strolls, picnics, and moments of relaxation. For sports enthusiasts, Wimbledon Park offers a range of facilities, including tennis courts, football pitches, and a golf course. The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, renowned for hosting the prestigious Wimbledon Championships, is situated nearby, further enhancing the park's association with tennis. Wimbledon Park's floral displays, particularly in the summer months, create a vibrant tapestry of colors. The sunken garden, with its carefully manicured lawns and flowerbeds, is a serene spot to unwind. The park's open spaces cater to various recreational activities, from family outings to jogging and cycling. Rich in history, Wimbledon Park dates back to the 18th century, and remnants of its past, including a windmill mound, add an extra layer of intrigue. This accessible green haven not only serves as a recreational retreat but also fosters a sense of community, making it a cherished destination for both active pursuits and moments of leisure in the Wimbledon area.

Such a wonderful park with play areas, refurbished toilets, a lake, tennis courts, cafeteria, beach volleyball, crazy golf, a large field for walking dogs and ball games, and Horse Close Wood - ancient woodland for wildlife, peaceful walks. Dogs really love it too ! The grassy area between the tennis courts and Home Park road entrance is a great safe for small dogs and training recall for puppies.

What a hidden gem! Absolutely worth a visit for anyone. Beautiful formal gardens, including a fairy-tale-like rose garden with a fountain in the middle. Good area of woods and wildflower fields too. Great place for kids, dogs, cats (our case! 😊) or anyone really.

Loved the variety of things to do in this park. From where I entered, there was the Wimbledon tennis academy (so lots of tennis courts), and a designated children’s play area with swings and slides. Further on, there’s also the lake which is beautiful and calm, and has got lots of benches along the edge. There’s a duck feeding area too. Also noticed a mini golf area. There’s a lot of area in the park that I haven’t explored. Would definitely like to visit again.

My first time at this park, and I really enjoyed my walk. It’s quite big with a massive lake, ducks, swans, mini golf, volleyball courts, tennis courts, huge play area for children. What I love about this park: The lake and birds - so beautiful and peaceful Pergolas - covered in flowers/vines Beautiful spot full of flowers and trees Lots of pretty flower beds Two car parks, depending on what entrance you come from It has public toilets Cute lil pop up coffee shop - nice coffee and muffin was yummy

Quite poorly designed and overly groomed park compared to other London parks of that size. The lake is great, but not completely accessible from all sides. There are tons of sporting activities possible in that park, but that means that you are able to stroll around with ease. You always bump into some kind of barrier.

Very pleasant park. Flat easy walking. Please add signs asking people not to feed bread to the birds. Its harmful to the wildlife and bad for the water quality if allowed to sink.

Nice park with a lake, mini golf and other activities, as well as a small cafe. Parking can be bad, so I'd recommend walking there if you can, or get public transport. Wimbledon Park underground station is less than five minutes away.

What a wonderful park with so much to offer: plain fields, kids park and play area, tennis courts, beach volley ball courts, bike paths, mini golf and a lake to top it off. One stop solution for family. There is a kids’ festival going on this summer with free entry. What a joy for the family and kids!

  • 5/5 Dave C. 2 years ago on Google
There are two play areas for children, one aimed more at younger children (the area with a bus) with the other having more advanced apparatus for older children. Both areas do however accommodate in one way or another for all children so it's win win really. Seeing the swans and ducks was also a hit for my daughter. The remainder of the grounds are picturesque and would be great for long summer days

Lovely local park for the family. Aside from the pond with ducks and swans it also has an extensive play area. The pathway is really good for cycling and walking. Has free parking which is very useful.

I think the park is overall great but hasn't seen much change in the last couple of years (been based in Southfields since 2015). Can't help but wonder that with the right infrastructure projects and a renewed play area and the park could really come to life. That being said, it's still a great place with lots of potential.

This park is very popular indeed. There's a fair sized pavilion which makes a welco.e cafeteria.I had an enormous pizza and really good tasting chips. We have a choice between sitting inside or under shelter outside. It's next to a few public tennis courts, so that we can fool people that we've seen tennis at Wimbledon ! It's such a lovely, large and well kept park, with a happy atmosphere. There is a very large area of plain grass to play or picnic on. There's a beautiful lake with many water fowl, and a nearby children's playground with very small public toilets close by. It's easy to walk there from the District Line Wimbledon Park underground station, or Southfields, a slightly longer walk. There is a car park, but I don't know about fees.

If you plan a visit dont go to the Wimbledon Park tube station as it is very far away in fact. Adding to that, 80% of the park is private or closed and you will just have access to a field with people walking their dogs or jogging around. If you are lucky enough, there you can spot a tractor... Game, set and match.

  • 5/5 Istvan 6 months ago on Google
If you are staying in Wimbledon, jump on the tube to Wimbledon Park, first right then 4 minutes walk. Great for a leg stretch and watch the tennis, feed the ducks. Reconnect with Nature and even have an ice cream 😁

Huge park with water sports, tennis courts, golf course, park cafe, playgrounds etc. Great for queuing For Wimbledon tennis finals. Fantastic park, car park but don't forget to pay and display, little pond/lake swans and geese etc, to feed. Tennis courts, pitch and put payment required. Little area for small kids, swings etc. Cafe bit expensive tbh.well it is wimbledon.

Their good coffee could have made an enjoyable experience had the manager not kicked customers out of the surrounding balcony, where we were guarding from rain, due to an alleged council rule to stay away from the premises. It did not seem to be the managers fault but hey, it's not on

Lovely outdoor space with a lake, ducks and swans, tennis courts, bowling green, crazy golf, public conveniences, cafe and 'recreation ' ground. Dogs MUST be kept on leash when promenading by the water. Originally designed by Capability Brown as part of the Spencer family estate. Recommend a visit!

  • 3/5 Cem E. 3 years ago on Google
Nice small park, lovely pond with geese, ducks etc. Lots of people jogging. The cafeteria still offers take away and there are operating toilets. The paths are a bit narrow and if ypu donpt want to get into mud, you may find it a bit crowded. There are plenty green for ball games. The climbing walls are closed. There is a car park which may get filled quickly. However there are plenty of curb side parking spaces around the park. One of the entrance is right next to subway.
