Came across this lovely park as I was walking along the Thames path today. It's such a pretty place with lots of space to relax or play. There are a lot of different areas, one of which is a nice rose garden. There is also a lovely fountain in the middle of the park. There's a playground, toilets and a cafe.

Lovely park, beautiful lake, plenty of things to do for both old and young. The park is quite big and has lovely green spaces, a great playground for the little ones, a great playground for bigger kids, a special space for the bikes and skateboards lovers. The lake is well looked after and it hosts a few families of wild ducks and other water birds. There's a wide sand area for the little ones to build sand castles and plenty of benches for the parents to rest while watching there. The Fulham Palace hosts events and even a cinema. There are a couple of cafés where you can grab a bite or an ice-cream or have a coffee/ drinks. Also there are tennis courts for this sport's lovers. Well situated by the Thames, great sights of the River!

Lovely park with beautiful grassland, plenty of trees, a very nice teahouse, and a fantastic walkway by the riverside with those big branches reaching out as if trees are trying to touch the water... and maybe they are! :)) Highly recommended & absolutely worth the visit

A wonderful and elegant park. Expect it to be busy on summer weekends but there is so much here. Great views over the Thames into Putney. A beautiful lake. A beach (yes, a beach). A large children's play area. Numerous tennis courts and all wrapped around Fulham Palace.

You would never know this park existed - its a beautiful green space where people meet, exercise and enjoy the outdoors. A huge sandpit for the children, a picnic area, toilets open until approx 7 30pm. There is live music scheduled too.

An ex bishops palace in the heart of Fulham! This place is an oasis of historical aesthetic architecture in an otherwise bland borough.

I always end up here on my running route. It's a nice big park with outdoor gym equipment, water fountain, toilets and a cafe. Definitely worth adding to your running route so you can use the toilets but also a nice spot for food, chilling and exercising.

Not my favourite park in LDN as it’s quite overgrown and a little run down in places. If you’re passing it’s worth checking out as aspects of it are certainly nice and the river walk offers a welcome breeze on hot muggy days. It’s a good place for children and dogs.

Visited the meadows and park today. First visit to this Park near Putmey Bridge on a lovely sunny day. The path along the river is having maintenance work done on part of the pathway keep walking & you can access the other end. The meadow needs work done to repair the grass. The other areas are very nice with lots of benches to sit down & relax. Great play areas for children

Love this place. It has a coffee shop, toilet, and playgrounds for kids and toodler. Also has big areas where children can use their scooters, bikes, keyboard etc. My daughter especially loves the sandpit where there is water in summer!

Aside from getting there when it was nearly dark, this park is perfect for kids and strolling along the bank of the river Thames. Such a great atmosphere with live band on the opposite bank as you walk down. Worth noting there is plenty of parking after 5pm but on match days that is extended to 9.30pm. If you're lucky, you'll catchall glimpse of a BMW 300 Isetta....awesome!

Well, this has to be one of the most splendorous parks in the whole of London - it is undoubtedly the best park between Putney Bridge station and Craven Cottage. As is tradition when visiting parks named after chess pieces, I traversed the place diagonally. However, there are no hard and fast rules to prevent you from walking through the park in whatever style you prefer. Indeed, upon my visit I witnessed a gentleman dressed in full gleaming armour wandering along the riverfront in a distinctly L-shaped fashion, and as far as I could tell he suffered no adverse repurcussions.

There are two parks near the River Thames in Fulham. Hurlingham Park, to the east of Putney Bridge is a more functional sporting park, with tennis, basketball and other facilities including being the home of the Hammersmith & Rugby RFC. Bishops Park is the more interesting, the more beautiful and the more varied and runs along the river itself with the River Walkway. Hurlingham is a little distance from the river, while Bishop's Park has a River Walk running all the way along to Fulham Football Club. Before reaching the park, have a look at the extravaganza of Gothic revival architecture in the form of Sir W Powell's Almshouses founded in 1680 and rebuilt in 1869 and All Saint's Church with its 15th century tower and perhaps most famous for being used as the location in the film 'The Omen'. Bishops Park itself was opened in 1893 on land given by the Ecclesiastical Commissioners and has a variety of different gardens and habitats including the lake area which is undergoing refurbishment, a memorial to those who took part in the Spanish Civil War and sculptures by James Wedgwood and Joseph Hermon Cawthra who both had studios nearby. You can see that it was a grey cloudy day and the River Thames was not at its best, especially as the tide was out. Opposite the park are a number of boathouses and I did spot a couple of rowers out braving the weather.

My favourite building in the park is the old brown clapboard house.

Great small park with river views all along the south side. Has a kids park, skate park, the Bishops house to visit which is interesting and a nice little cafe. I am biased, I live locally.

Such a fantastic park. The best facilities I've seen for kids (although watch out for duck poop). It's by the river too which is lovely for a stroll before or after.

Love to walk in this park when I'm working in the area. Has a cafe, a duck pond. And plenty of stuff for kids. Play areas ( and sandpit, water spray etc) Although I'd never use the sand pit personally as it's open to the elements, with no "cover". I wouldn't want any children I know to put their hands in it after ducks, birds and other wildlife poop in it.

This is a lovely place for a walk by the river. Green and calm, most of the park, though if you've got kids there's a smashing play park. And that's the part that's not calm! It's a living park and enjoyable for a walk or a sit down watching the day go by.

A beautiful neighbourhood park tucked away along the River Thames Path leading to Putney Bridge. Many facilities available for both the young and old. Wild fowl swimming or preening against the backdrop of a water fountain add a sense of serenity to this picturesque urban park.
