This is now literally my favorite spot in London. Probably alway will be. When you hear the word fountain you expect one thing but when you get there it is something entirely different. A large circle of free flowing water. And you are encouraged to take off shoes and wade or sit and paddle your feet. YES. Do that ... amazing. You probably will feel the spirit of the Princess more here than any other place. And the Serpentine flowing just below, so you can look out and see Swans swimming with their little ones.

I've been bringing my son here since he was a baby and it is the spot in London he loves more! You can sit on the green grass and watch your kids play happily in the water, you can enjoy the fresh air and have a picnic; i feel at peace everytime i go there, just by hearing the water flowing.

Ideal part of the park to come for a picnic with a young family. The kids will love splashing in the flowing water stream. It's also right next to the Serpentine lake with some great views and large expanses of greenery.

Thought the "Fountain" would be more impressive rather than a circular concrete channel pond, which ironically was dry. The info boards say to relax and if you want dip your feet in the water. I don't know how that is to show respect to Princess Diana.

The design aims to reflect Diana's life, water flows from the highest point in two directions as it cascades, swirls and bubbles before meeting in a calm pool at the bottom. The water is constantly being refreshed and is drawn from London's water table. The Memorial also symbolises Diana's quality and openness. There are three bridges where you can cross the water and go right to the heart of the fountain. We hope visitors will feel at home when they visit this special place. Information for visitors to the Memorial The Memorial has a path suitable for wheelchairs. The area is supervised when open. Please feel free to sit on the edge of the Memorial and refresh your feet. We ask visitors not to walk on the Memorial. Dogs are not permitted into the area, except for registered assistance dogs. The area may be closed off during extremely cold or severe weather conditions. Alcohol is not permitted within the Memorial space.

I had a friend from Eastern Europe that want d to visit the memorial as she has never been here before. I looked it up and made sure the closing times were correct as they do lock the gates here. We walked from Hyde park corner and it's in the middle of the park closest to a bridge on the south side of it. It was a lovely sunny day and you could see quite a few people there walking around the grounds. I couldn't help but notice so many people taking their shoes and socks off to dip their feet in the water. It was wonderful to see so many just sitting down and enjoying the location. There was information located in the grounds on a board. It is worth a look when in park along with a few other statues and landmarks. Enjoy and if you found my review helpful please press like. Thank you

The Picnic Area at Princess Diana Memorial Fountain is a hidden gem in the heart of London. If you’re looking for a tranquil spot to enjoy nature and have a picnic, this is the place to be. The location offers stunning views of the serene memorial fountain, surrounded by lush greenery and trees. It’s the perfect setting for a peaceful meal with friends or family. The sound of the flowing water is soothing, and it creates a serene ambiance. The picnic area is well-maintained and there’s ample shade from the trees, making it a pleasant spot to escape the sun on a warm day. The location is also easily accessible, and there are restrooms nearby, which is a plus.

We love a good Park, and what's better than one that has no much to offer... This Princess Diana Memorial fountain is beautiful. All children of all ages come to enjoy the running water. It's calming and fun for all. Calming in the sense of lack of bold colours you get in most water places, with loads of grass and to sit down and enjoy a picnic. Bins are located outside for all rubbish which is great for emptying out your lunch once you've finished. The water flows in a circular pattern which offers different types of water plays, bubbles from under the feet, rapids whriling this way then that to trail on, steps one side with water rushing, deeper part, that children swim in (5ft3, above knee slightly)"rock climbing" with patterned rocks on the floor to climb up while the water rushes down them. We spent a good amount of time here but you could easily spend all day with the family having fun!...

Princess Diane Memorial Foutain. Unusual fountain. Peaceful and restful. Worth seeing in Hyde Park. The fountain sends water in two directions. Worth walking all around the circle.

This is a wonderful place to stop and take a moment. There were children playing in the water, people sitting and reflecting and people wandering around the water course. We initially visited soon after it was first built and it was a quagmire of mud. It's now a lovely place to stop and think about life, with wonderful cross flows of water up and down. We really appreciated this space and maybe there should be something similar for The Queen.

So fun to splash around in on a hot day. Love that it's a memorial sculpture you can interact with.

Beautifully designed so many can enjoy and interact with the fountain in their own way.

A beautiful water feature to visit. Peaceful, great fun, child friendly. Way way better than many monuments & fountains. Visit the excellent small Hyde Park playground nearby while you’re there, if you have kids with you. And all the stone pieces carved in a stonemason’s workshop in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland.

Well cared for spacious area with a wonderfully unique water fountain. What sets this place apart however is how it allows for all ages to dip their feet in and cool off. Especially great for those with little kids looking for a water source to play in during summer.

I have hidden copies of my children's picture story books near the fountain. Read, share, enjoy, pass on.

This was a nice stop on a warm day to cool off, and was very fun, although I wouldn’t call it relaxing. This isn’t a traditional fountain; it was made to be a water feature for kids to play and walk around in, or just to dip in your feet and cool off. This shouldn’t be a must-see stop, but if you have kids and are in or around Hyde Park, this is a nice detour.

Beautiful memorial to a beautiful person. I lived reading about how it was developed and the significance behind the parts of the fountain.

I’m from California and found out that they created this memorial for Princess Diana. Since I been small I’ve always been interested in her and admired what a wonderful human she is. When I had the opportunity in May to visit London, it was on my list of places that I wanted to go to. The memorial is so beautiful and I sat there for more than 2 hours just enjoying the space. The fountain is so unique and special. It look like a lazy river but it actually flows into each other and not in a circle. The fountain itself has different textures within the walls. This place was absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend you coming if you stop at Hyde park!

First time here. The water feature is nice and a wonderful tribute to Princess Diana. The descriptive sign was hard to read due to the moisture that was on the inside. It’s a nice area to have a picnic on a sunny day.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this tranquil memorial beside the water. It's probably not a place where we would go and spend a long time, but the constant sound of the moving water is very relaxing and enjoyable.

I wasn't expecting to love this as much as I did. Without spoiling it for anyone, the circular water course has lots of quite different sections for you to paddle through and keeps you wondering and guessing, it's really incredibly mindful! If you do not remove your shoes and have a paddle, you won't get it. We walked a few miles that day and cooling our feet for 30 mins was just bliss. A really fitting memorial for Diana who would have loved to see kids and parents splashing around and having a great time - all for free too. We went from St James Park Station, through St James Park to Buckingham Palace, through Green Park to Hyde's Park Corner and through this Park to the fountain. Lovely walk taking in 3 of the royal parks and some great landmarks along the way.

Hard to describe this place, once you remember how her life ended and how she was in life, reading the description of the memorial and hearing the sounds of the water its quite peaceful

Beloved by your nation, Princess Diana. We still miss your smile that could light up the entire room. This beautiful tranquil place is special to a lot of kids who have played here, I'm told. I've enjoyed walking here too myself. In late 1997 Diana, Princess of Wales, died. During her time at Kensington Palace, Diana was particularly fond of the Sunken Garden there. The pictured statue, commissioned in 2017, aims to reflect the warmth, elegance and energy of Diana, Princess of Wales, in addition to her work and the impact she had on just so many people both across our nation and worldwide. It was with incredibly great personal sadness on the 31st August 1997, that I heard of the sad passing of our nationally beloved Diana, Princess of Wales. Who was tragically killed in a car crash in Paris, just as she was finally finding her feet in the world stage after her Royal marriage had ended. A global icon, she was known for her compassion and her work for charitable causes, especially those involving children. AIDS patients and too indiscriminate Landmines weapons banning. The statue pictured here is located at Kensington Palace, Princess Diana's former home. It was sculpted in her memory by Ian Rank-Broadley and unveiled in 2021. The statue depicts Princess Diana standing with three children, representing her commitment to helping children in need. I walked past her once in London near Knightsbridge I think it was. I recognised her immediately and smiled, but seeing my recognition she put head down and walked away from me approaching her. I just thought she was probably having a hard day at the time. My mum was impressed I'd seen her in my trip that day up to London, I recall. She loved Diana. From day one. We never knew back then how big were the strugglesand dark problems of life events which Diana battled with. When she was killed in the strange series of events leading to the high speed car crash in the Paris tunnel, I heard of her death on the radio. Early morning. I ran to wake my mum to tell her. She cried. I had been years before in December 1980 similarly awakened by my mum, on her hearing of the sad death then of John Lennon. The ex Beatle murdered in New York City near to his home within the Dakota Building by a lone assassin gunman. Pictured here also Diana the always game keen forces champion. With a training session at SAS Hereford on the H&K machine pistol then used as weapon of choice by CRW Sabre Squadrons of 22 SAS Regiment. I had tremendous respect for her much of my life to current. Princess Diana pictured using the SAS Sling technique, firing a 9mm HK MP5K submachine gun. (Sling tension is used in place of a stock, and can be very fast and effective with practice in covert counter terror operstions.) Diana we still miss you girl. Always will. Thank you, Diana. For all the good you did and tried to do. Bless you.
