Lovely green area next to the pond. It is hard not to bump into lots of other lovely dogs so it is my dogā€™s favourite spot in Barnes. There is a swan pair who raise their cygnets every year, in the pond and you can often see them walking them over to where they nest by Beverly Brook. It is very cute! The OSO arts centre is in the centre which usually has really beautiful seasonal floral arrangements on the outside. They have a nice cafe and sell glasses of takeaway bubbly! In the summer they did live jazz outside every Sunday and everyone sat around on the green with picnics.

Frequently cycle through here to get a coffee & enjoy a breath of London 'countryside' air. A little green paradise with stunning, ancient trees and swans usually performing to the gallery!

This is a charming and versatile venue on The Green. It has a large main hall which is used for parties, wedding receptions and classes and can accommodate 85 sit-down guests or 120 people if standing. There is also have an additional lounge area and a small patio garden. It is a quintessential village hall situated in the heart of Barnes and you can find the building, which was originally a Victorian school, on Barnes Green next to the beautiful village pond. On weekdays the centre is used by local charity Age UK Richmond-upon-Thames to provide health and wellbeing activities and support to older people. This includes exercise sessions, social groups and games. At evenings and weekends, it is available for hire as a venue for parties, conferences and classes. All the revenue generated from hiring the venue helps support Age UK.

The barnes green is such a lovely little green space and love spending time with little and family. The pond, ducks, swans and pigeons and other wild creatures make up this beautiful little park.

I absolutely love barnes green going to the pond & having a picnic & just chilling out....Nice to meet friends. The downfall of Barnes Green! & the surrounding areas are there is a "LOT" of dog pooh. Why can't these people who leave their dog pooh all over the place pick it up? bag it & bin it? Surely they must no how dangerous it is to children & Adults?

Such a delightful place, traditional village feel complete with duck pond and several swans along with their young. Barnes manages to have a Baker, butchers, fish monger, the fantastic two peas in a pod for all your fruit and vegetable needs, haberdashery, an independent cinema along with charity shops, fabulous independent clothes and shoe shops for all the family, Barnes books, newsagents, pharmacy, dry cleaners, cobblers and gift shops. It has a Temple of the Green Circle, aka Starbucks along with Cafe Nero, a Gail's and several other independent coffee shops. A few pubs and restaurants, florists, along with beauty, hair and nail salons complete the picture as does the addition of Cook, Magic and Sparkle (M & S) food hall, a chip shop plus a Sainsbury's local. Folks are friendly and pass the time with each other. Wonderful to grab a drink and a snack, find a bench and while away the time to regain your Zen.

A very beautiful park with a large lake with many ducks, some swans and unfortunately a lot of seagulls. It has wide open spaces which are great for dogs and adjacent is an arts centre with cafe which provides snacks and hot/cold beverages. Cote has also recently opened up again and has large glass windows with Greta view into the park. Every now and then there is a antiques fair and live music. From here you can walk down to Barnes Common which is a large nature reserve. A great walk and day out.

A beautifully green area thriving with life. Barnes Green is worth wandering around especially the lake which is graced by a number of swans and their many young. Other birds congregate in this area and can often be seen circling the island in the middle of the lake in large numbers.

Lots of beautiful green grass, a pond for the kids to see the swans and ducks, nearby stream for kids and dogs to wade. As well, local cafƩs and restaurants a throw away. Visit on a Saturday for the fantastic farmer's market.
