The first 2 acts & the MC tonight were Good(7/10/23).. Look forward to returning at some stage.. Drinks and food available at the venue to buy but, the food is basic.. Door staff are very professional. Bar staff could do with wearing a smile.. Overall a decent night.. 6/10

Went to Backyard Comedy Club show today. The actual show was 10/10 but Daniel who proudly boasted that he owned the venue was EXTREMELY rude! I spent £47 ordering food at the bar. Plus an additional £20+ on cocktails. Whilst walking back to my chair someone bounced into me knocking my chips, samosas and half of my nachos onto the floor. I had just waited 20 minutes for this food so as you can imagine, I was rather annoyed! I went back to the bar to ask if they could replace the chips and samosas, after checking with the manager the bar lady said I'd need to pay again. I asked to speak with the manager she advised he was the blonde haired man at the booth. I approached him, explained the situation and he said "well what do you want me to do about it?" reiterating that I'd need to pay again. He stated it's not his fault and that I should go to the person who knocked the food out of my hand and ask him to pay. I asked as a good will gesture could he not just simply replace the chips and samosas, he replied why should he be put out of pocket. I could have paid again but it was the principle of the matter. I just found him extremely rude. It was my first time at the venue and that experience has put me off. I advised I would be making a complaint and he said "do what you like, I'm not bothered". Overall, just a very bad attitude!

Get there early … Not that there’s a rush, it’s just that the bar is great, food available, free ping pong, pool, board games and fast wifi. We loved the actual venue. Being able to sit at a table with lots of space made a change from being crammed in and clinging onto a freezing pint glass for hours. Great lighting and sound makes for a cool vibe. We’ve been to see a lot of comedy this year and all across the country. The Backyard Comedy Club puts on a great “New Act Night” where new comedians get to try out their material. While 1 or 2 probably won’t make it as comedians (full time) there were a few who did really well and could make it. However, what’s exciting is being blown away by 2 comedians that you just know are going to be BIG. Nice to have seen them cut their teeth and get the break they need at the BCC. Would we go back? Yes, Sir Would we recommend it. Yeah man. Get some…

I'm not sure how this place got so many decent reviews. I'm here for a comedy show and honestly I would advise eating and possibly drinking beforehand. The staff are rude and unaccomodating. The pizza, which is the only thing on the menu barring nibbles like nachos and wedges, was terrible. Rock hard crust and I was made to pay £1 for a thimble of ketchup. I asked for a passion fruit martini and immediately withdrew my request when the barmaid poured one shot of vodka and pulled out a tescos 4% can of passion fruit martini that I know costs £1.60 to mix it with. 02/10 would not recommend the food. I also asked the waitress if the pizza was big enough to share and she said she wasn't sure so I ordered 2 pizzas. They are definitely big enough to feed 2. Don't be swindled into buying more than one they are not worth the £11. Barely worth carrying home

Absolutely brilliant - every comedian was top drawer and had the entire place laughing from start to finish. If you sit in the front row, expect to be included in the acts, but it's all done in great fun. Beer is also reasonably priced and you xan by 4pint jugs if there's a few of you for even better value. Highly recommended for a top night out

Absolutely cannot fault this place. The ticket prices are so reasonable and it’s just perfectly setup for what it is. Not pretentious, decent range of drinks and the comedians were excellent. Loved it!

The whole feeling of this place hits the spot. It is neither pretentious nor makes one feel despondent. It is as comedy should be, unassuming. One can grab a simple snack and a drink while waiting. Once ushered into the main hall, you pick your seat. Those who bravado or liquor sit upfront. The emcees play well with the audience — no easy task warming people up. The crowd is pleasant, the intermissions are welcome, and the main acts are a delight. It is an excellent way to spend a Saturday night or set the tone for a fun night afterwards. Highly recommended.

First time for me and 2 other friends at a comedy club, not sure if it was just us being boring, some of the acts were just not funny. I love the idea and I will be back to see if there are any other funnier acts. Was a long show so you get your money’s worth out of the ticket. Nice drinks and food selection.

Loved this place! 1 of the few places where they have a whole section of non-alcoholic drinks- from lagers to gin to wines! 👏🏾 The comedy show was pretty good- definitely worth your money and time. Also the staff are super friendly👏🏾

Went here tonight and saw a few hilarious acts. Andrew was hilarious and being raised by two Irish parents I’ve never laughed so much at a set in my life. Thought all 4 acts were jokes and the host did well with the crowd work. Was great to see the owner provide such such chill and joke content

Great comedy club with very good comedians. Foods very good too, pity the outside surroundings are not as high quality. Been going there for 10 years plus and will carry on doing so 😁

Backyard Comedy Club offers an incredible night out! With top-notch comedians and a welcoming ambiance, it's the perfect spot for a good laugh. The staff is friendly, drinks are great, and the atmosphere is electric. Highly recommended for comedy enthusiasts!

Stand up comedy pretty much every day! I've only been to the nerdy ones and those are good (depends on the speakers, of course, but it's always funny and informative.. although often more on the informative side). Food and drinks can be taken to the main room. The fried stuff is dull but their pizza is decent.

Incredible comedy night on Suday. Great vibes. Bar with food and beverages. There are various games: video games, billiards, ping pong, etc. Really friendly and attentive staff.

Went with my wife to watch Kojo. His performance was good, and he could be a bit more people to warm up the show. The first guy who came on was good, too. Nice place nice crowd, and the feel-good factor was in the place. I would definitely go again

Have to reccomend coming here on a night out, especially if you're going to see Comedy Unleashed who do a monthly show here. The acts are fantastic and there's also a bar up front.

Have been going occasionally since Lee Hurst started this club. Always a good mix of stand up with a compere being one of the acts, introducting the acts and interaction with the crowd. Great venue and refreshments facility adequate. Near to the tube and food outlets. Great part of the traditional East End and owned by a local lad too

Great venue, friendly staff, and excellent value. Went here with a party of 10 for a birthday celebration and saw some great comedians. Good quality entertainment and as they say themselves at East End prices.

Cosy, intimate, local comedy club. Went with a group of 11, good seating available. You can purchase food, price's are fair, drinks are a good price. Staff are friendly.

Great comedy club. Lot of big names are "testing" their new material there. It's very laid back. In the bar area they have pool table and table tennis. You can order some snacks food including vegetarian options. Food and drink prices same as everywhere else in London. Tickets for show usually around £12. Worth visiting.

Awesome place! The show was incredible. Has a nice kitchen and bar, which are absolutely fantastic to have during the show. Would definitely come again!

As always a good cheap night out, tickets are usu.£10 each but you get a ten pound voucher to to spend on entry for food and drink in the venue (stops time wasters booking free tickets I presume) Intimate venue, max 200 people I'd say. Limited selection of food is passable, (You don't go there for the food!!) plenty of alcohol. Been twice, Lee himself is still funny, with a mix of other visiting guest comics and comperes. Good, fun, adult night out, plenty of swearing and laughter but all very good natured. You won't regret going Thumbs up for this..👍

Went for the Thursday comedy show. It had a mix of great acts and some not great but I guess that's how comedy works. Bar is nicely stocked and their pizza is really good.
