Fantastic bar to come for afternoon and sunset drinks. They have an amazing selection of drinks. It's a great place to meet mates for a drinks and meet people. I also love the vibe and views here. We didn't stop for food as we had already eatten however the food did look good and would be keen to eat here next time.

A great place. Gets super busy on weekends. Pizza is yummy. Ours came out late but they gave us free drinks on the house - a testament to their good customer service.

Cool bar in Hackney Wick by the canal. Great selection of beers, serves pizza and has loads of outdoor seating. Perfect for a sunny day!

Been to Crate in Hackney Wick a few times and it's always been a blast! Really nice environment, situated by the canal and with a number of things happening all around. The pizzas are really good (or I was really hungry all the time!) And the beer is what's expected from Crate. A nice range of really good beers! I'll visit again!

Good beer and nice tasting pizzas. Prices in line with what one would expect at a brewery (margarita pizza and a beer for approx £16). Nice vibes, especially being right next to the canal. Looking forward to coming back.

Toller Ort. Absolute Empfehlung.

Amazing spacious microbrewery by the canal! They have tons of seats both indoors and outdoors. There’s a great selection of self produced beer. Had the hazy which was delicious. The pizza were also great - the lamb pizza was very special. The sage and truffle on the hand tasted a bit bland in comparison to the lamb.

If you're looking for a place to have beers in the sun then look no further 🍻🌞 we spent about 10 hours here. Massive layout on the canal with lots of tables although make sure to getthere early if you want to sit down. We arrived about 3pm on a Saturday and there weren't any, although we managed to snag one when people left. They do 4-pint pitchers of beer which makes things easy if you're with a group. Service is quick with bars inside and out. Bit of a d-floor gets going after dark too 🕺 The urinals and toilets are really nice compared to most bars. The place to be.

A fun brewery, right on the canal. Crate always has a good vibe, and has lots of seating space. Not all of the outdoor tables have heating though so can get a bit cold in winter. The courgette pizza is my favourite! Great selection of natural wines on tap for reasonable prices!

We loved the sour beer there, and pizza is great also, a lot of new flavours, not your traditional pepperoni pizza. Would definitely recommend. The only thing is it can get very, very busy.

Great place next to the river lea to sample a good range of beers and eat very nice stone-baked pizzas... A converted print factory turned into a brewhouse/bar/pizzeria with a very welcoming atmosphere, there's also a canal-side bar which adds to the quirky/creative vibe... Had the chorizo pizza which was baked perfectly with a nice thin crisp base and crust, and along with a pint of fruity session IPA this is certainly a place with trying out when you're in the area!

The pizza is ready fast even when busy. Get ready for their untraditional recipes that taste great. You might want to eat the pizza faster than you can take a picture. One star down just because it is really noisy when busy and the loud music does not make it better. Busy during events in Hackney Wick area or when Westham soccer team plays at home stadium.

3 stars for the great location and very good beer. Usually this place is packed but we visited on a Sunday evening, nice atmosphere and easily found a table. Staff seemed disinterested, I do appreciate their hard work and this probably isn't reflective of service overall. The pizzas arrived reasonably quickly, they were not good value for money in my opinion, pretty tasteless, dry and not hot. We didn't alert staff to this so to be fair nothing they could have done. I wouldn't order pizza again but would definitely come back for a beer.

Nice place, lovely outside by the canal. Enjoyed several Citrou Sour. 1st set of pizzas arrived on time and tasted great. 2nd order was chased up several times and I had to go and find out. Looks like there is a muddle when the orders go. Definitely worth coming back.

Quality and varied brews and thin crust, inventive pizzas in a super cool setting, with several tables by the river in a chilled, relaxed environment often playing quality music (but rarely loud). Prices on the high end though, compensated by quality. Staff is friendly and efficient but security was a tad aggressive towards my partner once.

First time here. Interesing venue, Pizza came out quick and was very filling. Enjoyed a nice IPA. Easy to get to from the Train. Very attentive staff keeping the area clean and looking good. Enjoyed the music, good choices, not loud but good enough to enjoy and have a good conversation.

I had ordered a spicy salami pizza, I never received the pizza despite having paid for it, the manager had a long hair and was huge and didn’t take my complain. Despite paying for my pizza, it was never delivered me me.

One of my favourite places in East London. Good vibes, great pizza and awesome brew. One anyone feeling a little low, head to crate!

**EDIT: I returned recently and got their limited edition daal pizza- which sounded weird- but was surprisingly good! Also got the mango beer which was pretty unique!** Margarita Pizza is not good- sorry! And there are limited vegetarian options. Worth coming for for the beer & ambiance though

Fantastic canal side brewery with delicious pizzas. With the good beer, pizza, canal side and sun - it’s pretty hard to beat. Friendly staff too

Good pizza, good cider. Have been here a couple times and it never disappoints. Can be very busy so be prepared for that. Staff was friendly and quite nice. Their pizza ordering system requires a table number which can be annoying if you've come solo and don't want to leave your wares laying around.

Place is nice, pizzas good. But few things you need to be aware as to not have high expectations . We had to ask for the menus. You need to order food and drinks at the bar. It would have been better to be told on arrival. No plates, no cutleries. No problem with any of these if you know the level of service beforehand.

Unbelievably nice pizza, lots of choice and all done well. Food and drink are ok value, not really cheap but the kind of price you'd accept and increasingly expect. They have a canal boat out back which is unique and worth popping into. Much more intimate and a different environment to the bar like vibe inside.

Nice place. Fresh beer. Good atmosphere. Haven't tried the pizzas but they smell very nice. Will definitely come back

Okayish Taste. Not much vegan/ vegetarian options. More of a beer garden. I ordered courgette pizza with caramelised onions, the mozzarella was a lil off! The lemonade was really nice, not their’s but good taste. It costed me 15£ total. Was at the Yard Theatre for a play so stopped by most people had beer so maybe wrong place to order a pizza!
