A beautiful green space and wonderful place to look at the Thames Barrier which in itself is pretty awesome. And then there is the river, something so relaxing watching the Thames wide and fast flowing here. A very pleasant way to while away a sunny afternoon.

This place is simply beautiful. When the sun is out, this is a wholesome place for the entire family. It is very scenic and beautiful. Loads of spots to play, sit and walk. You can ride your bicycles with relative ease and no hassles here or give your dog that walk it needs to stay healthy. Highly recommended for people who need ro get out of the house for a while.

Lovely park with beautiful river views. Really nice for a family walk, taking the baby for a stroll, or just going for a run, especially during quiet times. It feels very serene on weekday afternoons. You may even see some fruit trees!

We visited this area to see the Thames Barrier and meet a friend. Unfortunately, there was work going on directly on the riverside area of the park, meaning although we could still see the Thames Barrier itself, of course, we couldn't get as close as you could under normal circumstances, which was a little disappointing. The park itself, despite the time of year (late summer/early autumn) was still very pretty, and while I wouldn't recommend a special trip to see the park, it's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. It's really easy to get to from the DLR station.

Such a nice place to walk around it's a big place with an interesting garden area that you can walk around almost like a converted dry dock from the Thames although it could have been I haven't had a chance to really look into it and being the name of the DLR station could be a possibility. I wanted to go see the Thames barrier and whilst looking on the maps I found this place which made a great place to view the barrier from. This park is right next to a DLR station called pontoon dock. There are public toilets here. I really enjoyed visiting this place and would love to go back again soon.

Lovely clean park by the Thames Barrier in East London. Reachable by DLR. lots of cute dogs and there are benches and areas to sit and relax to the views of the river Thames. Cafes and pub nearby. Parking may be a bit difficult, but otherwise great place to go.

We arrived late during the evening unfortunately. There were lamp posts there as we were walking along the pathway but the grass area was pitch black and could not see anyone or anything which made it a bit spooky and scary! There were no lights in the garden part either so could not really explore that part. It was a nice view of the Thames Barrier being lit up at night and also watching a few boats going along the River Thames. There was also a picnic area and a few tables & chairs which is a nice spot to sit down for somewhere to eat during the summer months! :)

Love coming here with something to do for the kids, and nice views. Local shops nearby with Tesco express, local restaurants like creams & fish & chips etc , so it’s a nice idea to grab a bite and sit. The park does close early during winter times and has security patrols to ensure safety which is good.

The Thames Barrier and park is really great. The visitor centre was closed but luckily the toilets were still open when we visited. The barrier is huge! There are plenty of information boards around. The park is big and well kept. There's a playground for kids and lots of picnic tables.

A nice place to go with kids. There is a very nice garden area too but at the moment there's a lot of work going on and most of the park is closed to the public, there's a cafe in the park that is also bow closed. There's very limited parking nearby especially if you go during the day. The nearest DLR station is Pontoon Docks immediately opposite the park. There's lots of new developments nearby which obscure the entrance to the park. There's a children's play area and views of the river and the Thames Barrier. Would get at least 4 stars if the park and cafe were open.

Beautiful park besides the riverside. Parking is the locality is a bit on the downside however easily accessible with bus and also DLR. The park itself is beautiful and clean, and the LO’s enjoyed the children’s park. We took our own picnic but there is a cafe and toilet facilities but unfortunately not open today due to bank holiday.

A stunningly beautiful park. It's very peaceful, calm and serene. The flowers and green space is meticulously maintained. A perfect place for couples, families or small, and large groups. It feels almost hidden and well shielded from the city of London. Unplugged and timelessnes.

Great park, fantastic views and lots of different landscapes within in. Riverside walks, large open grounds, tree lined paths, jogging track, benches all around, playground for kids, basketball court. If only the cafe was running, it would have been even more brilliant. Hopefully some day it will open!

The Thames Barrier Park is a 22-acre park located in the Royal Docks area of East London, UK. It is situated on the northern side of the River Thames, offering a lovely view of the Thames Barrier, one of the largest movable flood barriers in the world. The park, designed by French landscape architects Allain Provost and Alain Cousseran, opened in 2000 as a new public space for the community. It features a variety of landscape design elements, including a 550-meter long sunken garden, called the Green Dock, which is designed to reflect the former docklands heritage of the site. The park also features fountains, tree-lined pathways, and flower gardens. The Thames Barrier Park provides a tranquil space in the heart of a bustling city, and it's a great place for relaxation, picnics, and walks. The park is also home to a cafΓ© and a children's playground, offering something for everyone. Please note that specific features or services might have changed or evolved since my last training data in September 2021. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, please check with the latest local resources or the park's official website.

What a great park! Clean, manicured and well equipped. My dog absolutely loved playing catch here as well as playing with other friendly dogs.

I have heard about the Thames barrier park by the barrier itself. The park it is nicely set and it has plenty of benches to seat and enjoy the relaxing views so different to the busy central London.

Relatively small park. It’s quite a shame a lot of the area was closed off due to building works, but it was still cool to walk around.

The park is a tranquil, nice green space. The play area is good for the kids. It's fenced off, so you feel the kids are secure inside the play area. If you like plane watching, you might get to see a few whilst relaxing here. The city airport is close by. If you Don't like flight noise, then avoid this park. I feel the park isn't looked after as much as it should be. The toilet area is closed off. It has been for quite a while now. There doesn't seem to be any plans to reopen it. The temporary toilets placed in the park are for ticking the boxes. They are not fit for use. Make sure you come prepared. There are cafes and restaurants nearby with wc facilities for customers. I'm not sure how welcome, non purchasing, people will be to use their facilities.
