When
I
learnt
we
were
going
to
an
African
restaurant,
I
was
excited
and
looked
forward
to
eating
some
Nigerian
foods
I
had
not
eaten
in
a
while.
Off
of
that
excitement,
I
ordered
chicken
suya
for
a
starter
and
grilled
Tilapia
with
fried
plantain
as
the
main
dish.
First,
the
service
delivery
time
was
painfully
long.
The
starter
didn't
take
too
long
but
I
had
almost
gotten
tired
of
waiting
when
my
main
dish
arrived.
Both
foods
were
underwhelming
-
the
suya
was
moist,
different
from
the
Nigerian
suya
one
was
used
to,
and
the
grilled
fish
was
so
bitter,
that
we
had
to
complain.
I
tasted
the
beef
and
lamb
suya
two
of
my
family
members
ordered
and
I
would
say
the
lamb
suya
>
chicken
suya
>
beef
suya.
Not
only
was
the
fish
bitter,
but
the
sauce
was
average
at
best.
After
we
complained,
the
waiter
took
them
away,
apologised
and
ordered
us
a
replacement.
This
time,
we
opted
for
croaker
fish
for
a
difference.
Although
I
had
ordered
mine
with
plantain
initially,
they
brought
it
with
fried
yam.
Being
too
tired/dissatisfied
to
eat
anything
else,
I
asked
for
a
takeaway
pack
and
we
were
handed
foils
to
pack
them
ourselves.
Also,
they
mixed
up
the
chicken
and
chips
order
for
the
kids
and
brought
that
of
the
next
table
to
us.
The
waiter
expressed
her
ignorance
with
a
wave
when
we
pointed
it
out,
and
it
was
after
the
kids
had
started
nibbling
on
their
meal
that
they
brought
the
correct
order.
Service
delivery
was
haphazard,
painfully
long
and
the
meal
underwhelming
in
a
nutshell.
It
was
my
first
time
visiting
and
perhaps
the
last.
