I walked into this wetherspoon craving some beautiful and tasty curry chips. Little did I know that I would walk out with the best meal I'll ever have in my life. The sauce was creamy and smooth, the chips and it's explosive flavour melted in my mouth. The Half Moon Wetherspoons curry chips will be my last meal before I go to eternal sleep on my death bed. Those curry chips saved my life. I'm walking out this place as a changed man. A man with a broader palette and higher standards. I love your curry chips. From now on, the curry chips are the only thing I'm ordering from this establishment. Thank you The Half Moon Wetherspoon for this eye-opening experience.

It needs more space for starters. Customer is a bit weird but they can’t help that. Smoking area is top notch. Safe x

One of the best spoons pubs, very spacious with a terrace and the food was good. We waited longer than expected however.

The 6oz beef burger was a big let down. It was not hot.. probably can be said as cold and not cooked well. The soft drinks tasted only syrup. The fries were soggy as though it has been there for some days..

We ordered the grilled chicken (one spicy one lemon) and both came hot on the surface but pink and frozen in the middle! We returned the food and the waitress said they will fix it. After 20mins waiting it came back burned and dry. So we went from undercooked frozen to burnt… it was a disgrace. Nobody apologised, no explanation, nothing. Dried chicken is dreadful but raw and frozen is a plain health hazard. Shameful.

The best place where you get wide range of drinks and food options. They are pretty cost-effective. They don't play music but that's not something you'd miss too much because the place is pretty crowded and lively.

First time here! Didn't disappoint us .ordered via the app drinks were brought out first followed by our food all spot on!! As each glass and plate was finished with staff removed it straight away keeping the table looking uncluttered .. Friday night was very busy staff all looked happy in their job roles

Should have gotten 5 stars, but the waitress who was still working in the restaurant at 9pm Wednesday, 15-06-2022,treated us with a particularly bad attitude and I don't know and don't want to know what happened to her. We felt offended by the unprovoked slamming of plates and glasses at us and the pretence of not understanding our requests. A disgrace to this restaurant.

Great wetherspoons location. Came on a busy Wednesday evening for a quick drink. Was a bustling atmosphere for a weekday evening. Classic spoons, cheap pints and cocktails available. Staff are very nice and helpful. Shortest walk to the toilets ever. Very clean throughout the pub and at the bar. Follow me on Google Maps for bar reviews.

Prices of food and drink are great. Nice and spacious, two bars and a beer garden. It's a shame we get moved inside at 11pm by security when it doesn't close untill 12. Other than that, it's really good.

What a experience... no hash browns so said they would substitute with something else however this never happened for my plate. So essentially false advertisement as I did not receive what was stated on the menu or even have my money compensated. The food was all over the place and staff just did not know what was going on or what plates belonged to which table consequently food went back. There was a male manager who was very abrupt and where people can understand staff shortages it is completely unnecessary to speak to customers like trash, in a serious need of some customer service skills and being truly honest a demotion as clearly not a role model and can't run a shift.

It's a spoons so you kind of know what to expect. It's just average food at a good price. The battered fish for me was over done but still edible. I don't really care for a lemon with a fish and chips, but it really could have done with a lemon to help with this issue. The curry sauce was decent. Service is fast and you're in a uni student area so it's normally got a good atmosphere.

It's affordable and a good atmosphere, nice outdoor seating. My friend and I got food poisoning here once after the burger, so I wouldn't recommend the food. BUT, good dessert, and good drinks.

Terrible customer service, the male waiter was very argumentative. Food wasn't the best served cold apparently no hash browns but then did managed to get some. Food came out different times so some people had finished before others even had got theirs. Only decaf hot drinks.

It's a good spoons, overall with a younger crowd likely from Queen Mary university. Service here is very quick despite it being really busy on the weekends. Food is nothing to right home to but perfect to snack on with a couple drinks. The overall atmosphere is busy and chaotic but it is partly because I went on a Friday evening. I would definitely recommend if you want to just hang out after work .

Situated a short walk from Stepney Green Station, this former theatre has been transformed carefully into a chic drinking establishment under the wetherspoon flag offering food and broad selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at affordable prices in a warm and friendly environment.

Great atmosphere and prices for the drinks are so much cheaper compared to other pubs around the area. Service is very quick at the bar as well. Highly recommend it.

We spent some days in London with our kids and had an apartment in Stepney Green. During such days, we loved to eat at the Half Moon. A nice pub with locals and students, good food and beer for a very good price. Very kind staff and super atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We are here right now waiting for our breakfasts It’s been an hour already and the place is not that busy. It was actually almost empty when we arrived at 10:36. After THREE complaints we had a refund and our food is meant to arrive in a bit. They said they were short or staff when we first asked and then, after seeing how ALL the tables that arrived after us have been served, they obviously recognised that they missed our order. Breakfast is good and cheap and usual.

Order food which came in a timely manner, but found the steak and kidney pie was very dry. Spoke with waiter who confirmed all frozen food and microwaved

Like any other Wetherspoons prices are great. This one has a lovely terrace you can chill in and it is also quite big inside. The waiter was a bit rude to us.

One of the more trendy Spoons. Always busy with Uni students on Thursday. The service is very good compared to other Spoons. Staff are friendly. Very lively place. They have a big indoors and outdoors area. With heaters outdoors.

Affordable, student-friendly lunch. Today, I ordered a mid-well steak, but they fried it and overcooked it too much. But breakfast is cheap and good

Lovely little pub, although it has doesn't have many seats, don't be fooled. The staff are very friendly and the service is brilliant. Because the venue used to be a former theatre, it has personality which isn't something you see nowadays. Well done guys and gals. Please keep up the good work.

Great place. It's a Spoons so it's cheap af, lots of meal deals. Very close to public transports. Very spacious with lots of outdoors and indoors tables and booths.

The front part of the building is nice enough, but I recommend going through to the second bar, which is bright and cheerful. One of the nicer Wetherspoons with a good vibe. There's also a large ish garden. The best part: prices were the same as in smaller towns.

I ordered fish and chips included soft drink. The foods came on the right time but drink never served. I asked two managers and got answers right it’s coming but after more than 30 minutes until I finished my foods my drink still not come. I spoke to manager about this she didn’t apologize but said because we were busy then they couldn’t serve me the drinks but actually that time it wasn’t busy at all so 2PM. I asked for drink refund and she said I will get £0.20 back because the drink was applied for promotion. I took this order because I want to have drinks for my food and never though that I won’t got drinks. I was so thirsty and need to take my water out from bag and drink. Bad service mind sorry to say that.

Disgusting food. Nachos were completely smothered in gunge, and found a whole half of an avacado stone in the guacamole. Pasta was sent back as was cold in the middle. This was replaced alongside an apology. However it was just plain pasta, absolutely saturated in a bitter cheese sauce which was disgusting so I left it. My mum had small cod and chips, which she was pleased with, though it looked like more batter than fish to me. The atmosphere was nice and peaceful, and the staff very polite and friendly. No coke available, only Pepsi

Very nice inside and out. I would have given 5 stars but some of the bar staff need a bit of training when it comes to pouring a pint (especially Guinness). Other than that, a great place day or night

Always too quality food and clean environment. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Always taking care of customers and checks if everything’s are ok. Going back soon. Totally recommended- it’s always busy anyway 😀

Massive pub, with a couple of indoor seating areas and a nice outdoor courtyard. Drinks and food are reasonably priced and of a good quality (unlike some other Wetherspoons I've been in). What let's it down though are the disgusting toilets and the surly bar staff. Mind you, it can get really busy in there and the staff are generally rushed off their feet.

One of the cheapest pubs I know, it's spacious too, though you need a table if you want to order food which despite its size can be difficult to find when it's busy
