Really great if you are looking for interesting and specialty foods. Cheeses, jams, breads and baked goods available here. Prices are high but not excessively. Lots of different stalls and shops make it fun experience for tourists and visitors. If going on the weekend go early to avoid the crowds.

A little pricey, but loved it on a summer morning. I have only been once properly, but here are my recommendations: - Bread ahead, If you fancy for beautiful cream filled donuts. I tried the pistachio cream one, and it was sublime. Light, delicately flavoured and transporting. Savour slowly. - Wild mushroom risotto, for mushroom risotto. 5 for aesthetics, 4 for taste. - smoothie (don't recall the name) refreshing, but at 6pounds, I'd give it a 3.5 on value for money scale

Offering a wide variety of local and European cuisines and goods, Borough Market is a must visit for tourists and locals alike! Everything we tried was good, from the fresh chocolate-coated strawberries to the salt beef sandwich. Overall a great experience, perfect for a stop by given its proximity to the London Bridge.

I LOVED this market!!! Every stall is unique, special, and delicious!! Every country and culture is represented here: México and tacos, India and curry and naan, Spain with savory dry meats and cheese.... Lots of vegetarian options, fresh juice. Would love to come back soon

Amazing food and drink market that is a must-visit. Would recommend coming early before the crowds show up towards the late morning/early lunch period but too early, and it'll still be half closed with most places still preparing for the day. Definitely walk around to get a sense of what you might feel like trying before buying anything, but definitely get smaller portions to share and so that you can try more places. One tip we took was to line up for desserts first as generally not eaten hot. Then get your hot foods and find a place to sit nearby and enjoy. Definitely try the pork shoulder sandwich at The Black Pig, sausage rolls at The Ginger Pig, and the donuts at Bread Ahead. These were our highlights at Borough Market.

This market is huge and has a lot of options for eating and drinking. Most of the stalls do not sell cooked food, they sell product that you could take home and prepare or use. I'd say only about a quarter of them have some edible options right there on the spot. There was a Turkish Paella, which had a huge line. There are some meat pies (very good) and plenty of baked goods. We managed to fish some Mac and Bacon that was really good. However, there are small brick and mortar restaurants all around the edges that also sell prepared meals, with the added bonus that you will have somewhere to sit and eat. Even if you didn't want to eat anything, this is a cool place to come and take a walk around.

Great spot, not as many good street food options as some other markets, but if you live in London this is the place for actual quality products. Great fish, great veg, great cheese selection. Great on both an evening with mates or shopping through the day as a resident.

So so so delicious. Wish we had more time on our trip to go back and try every single stall but definitely worth a visit if you love food! My must get are the oysters, some of the freshest, juiciest, tastiest oysters I’ve ever had in my life!

Borough Market is a great spot just to indulge and all sorts of food. Sadly, I did not get any photos of the giant market itself, but here are some photos that I did get. If you are hungry, I need a quick bite to eat. This wild mushroom risotto definitely hit the spot for me. It was around 10lbs and some change. I really like the portion size so if you are trying to share it with your significant other I would. There was a line around the corner, and yet they were serving super fast. When you are walking around the market, you will come across all sorts of stand, we love the risotto so much that we decided to buy our own wild mushroom basket and made breakfast the next day over eggs. At the market, you will find all sorts of cheeses and cured meats. We also bought delicious canned fish that were all very good price. If you are looking for some thing, sweet, they have truffles, sweet stands, I saw everyone walking around with chocolate covered strawberries, as well as the Hot apple crumble! I highly recommend and go there hungry.

Such a cool place with an incredible offering of foods. A definite must if you are visiting London. There are many food stalls and various shops, pretty much all selling food products, such as jams, honey, olives, dried meats, Italian/Spanish/French products, etc. It tends to get very full, and was probably at its worse when I went on a Sunday, where it became pretty hard to circulate, but even then, you generally don’t wait very long for food, even if there’s a line. Definitely recommend trying out The Black Pig sandwiches and the Mushroom Risotto place!

This market is outrageous! One of the best spots in London. There are so many different kinds of food. There is prepared food and groceries you buy. Everything from amazing donuts to Indian food. This is a must see! And taste!

Great market for a variety of goods/foods. Loved the gluten free stand - so many options to choose from! It was a really fun market to walk around and enjoy on a summer day. It would be nice if they had more tables for sitting and eating.

A large market which is a combination of a normal market and a foodie heaven! The market has lots of stalls selling fruit, veg, meat, fish, seafood, lots of cheese, and baked goods, it's a great place to shop, reasonable prices too. There's also a huge selection of fast food, dishes from all over the world, with plenty of vegan and gluten free options too. The food I tried was delicious and very reasonably priced. It's definitely worth a visit.

This is a wonderful martlet place to visit in London. The highly recommend to show up with an appetite so you can enjoy some great food items! There are all types of food that should satisfy every palate. Vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, olives, cookies, cakes and meals as well. The smells and sights make you smile and appreciate the beauty that life has to offer. Highly recommended to visit and enjoy! I am jealous of Londoners who can enjoy this anytime.

Though I was around lunch time ..it was pretty crowded. If you are looking for interesting and specialty foods. Cheeses, jams, breads and baked goods available here. Liked to buy the Fudge. Prices are on the higher side. Loads of different stalls and shops make it fun experience for tourists and visitors. If going on the weekend go early to avoid the crowds.

Great place here. I went to various markets and bought different foods, such as tinned fish, Tortilla chips and a type of dessert (which I can't recall its name but it is one of the pictures), it looks like a pastry sweet combination, I had a chocolate type, vanilla type and a couple others. Also nice atmosphere and I'll definitely be coming back.

Borough Market is one of the more familiar names when it comes to London's numerous farmers markets. It takes place every day of the week. The variety of products is amazing, Italian, French, Swiss, Spanish stores are like visiting an expo stall. All the best products, in international packaging, great presentation and similarly priced. Exotic and tropical fruits and vegetables, seafood, cheese, wine, fresh breads and so much more. The amount of food stalls offering varieties of delicious take way options. Seating areas dotted around for shoppers to sit and rest their weary feet and pondering their next moves. It is always a good experience (so far).

Great variety of food stalls at affordable price points for London. This market has street food, fresh vegetables, cheese, spices and butchers. I enjoyed gnocchi with mushroom sauce. 4 stars because unlike other markets I have visited there are fewer options for vegetarian/vegan/gluten free with no specific veggie stalls which is unusual for a city like London. It gets very busy so visit outside of lunchtime rush hours to avoid tourists. Ideally located underneath London Bridge train station

This is a great place to wander around and see all the variety of food, fresh veg, seafood and meats. I do find the prices a bit more expensive than most other markets but the quality of the produce is much better. I went there recently early Saturday morning and beat the tourist rush. The stall with the mushrooms have a great selection of rare mushrooms.

A sensational experience for the senses! A bevy of local produce, artisanal items, and exotic ingredients. The atmospheric locale brims with character and charm, making it more than just your average food market. The vendors are friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. The variety of food stalls offering different cuisines from around the world is certainly impressive. A fantastic foodie haven!

This market is massive. There is so much to see and eat. I was very excited to try the viral chocolate strawberries. It was delicious!!! Definitely enough to share. I got to sample the mushroom risotto, which was good as well. Make sure you have on your walking shoes and stretchy pants to fully experience this place :)

This is a MUST for anyone who eats food. There is something interesting for everyone, you don't need to be a hard core chef or culinary expert. The stall holders are fantastic too, they know everything about their product and have genuine passion if you show interest. I love it here ❤️❤️

A fabulous place to hang with friends and family or even alone. Remarkable food stalls, especially Fish! a restaurant inside the market. Best time to visit is pre lunch, take your time to surf through all the food joints before settling for one. Strawberry with chocolate sauce is a must try. The place accepts only card which was especially convenient for tourists.

If you're on the hunt for a chill hangout in the heart of London, Borough Market is your spot! Situated in the center of the city, it's surrounded by a lot of shops and eateries, making it the ultimate destination for a fun day out. What I love most about Borough Market is its commitment to cleanliness. Despite the bustling crowds, they do a stellar job of maintaining proper hygiene, so you can munch on your favorite treats worry-free. Next time you're craving good food and good vibes, make a beeline for Borough Market. You won't be disappointed!

I have been to London twice and every time I have made sure to visit Borough Market and I plan to keep visiting this place in the future. The vibe of this place is something else. It does get crowded especially during peak hours but understandably so. The market has different food stalls for you to choose from depending on your taste palette and cravings! Also has shops selling fresh cheese, veggies, and alcohol. It also has its fair share of restaurants and pubs if that's what one prefers. One of the most lively places to explore in London.

Definitely worth a visit when you‘re in London, but you have to be careful not to buy the extremely overpriced things. I would recommend the truffle mushroom risotto it was so delicious and a huge portion for 10£. Also it‘s always overcrowded.

It’s a very vibrant and full of life place, situated less then 5 minutes walking distance from London Bridge train station, and opposite the very famous building « the Chard » I loved how it easily seduces your senses as they come out to have fun and enjoy the different varieties of colour, smell, taste, texture and melodies present. I also loved the fact that you can find anything you want, from local produce to imported exotic delicacies.

I MEAN, how can anyone not love Borough market? It’s been there for hundreds of years, one of the oldest and most worth visiting markets in London. It’s located in the heart of London, very close to the London bridge, London Tower bridge, and Tower of London. A great place to grab a quick lunch and drinks before you start sight seeing in London. Basically, you can find everything there, from fresh fruits to cheeses, sausages, spices, freshly baked pastries, homemade desserts, fresh seafood, traditional British pub food, European and south East Asian cuisines. You literally get to try amazing food from all over the world. In my opinion, the food quality and options are a notch above most markets. There’s also an area in the center for you to sit and enjoy food. Just make sure you come with an empty stomach, there are just so many options for you to try. All in all, it’s a fabulous place to visit!

Always a fun one, with lots of street food, massive veg, and drinks (mulled wine, smoothies you name it). A couple of good pubs around too, and some of the best coffee in London at Monmouth. The stalls are all really cool, the look of it all is cool Does get very busy so be prepared to have to navigate through the crowds. Get down early if you want to beat them. A bit of a tourist trap, prices can be a little high compared to other London markets but the quality is all there if you’re prepared to wait it’s worth a visit!

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the market was still open during the latest lockdown (no3). Borough is one of London's best kept secrets! Bright, colourful and full of variety. A stones throw from London bridge station! The market takes you on a marvelous journey from international cuisine, to alcoholic and healthy juices, to fresh produce..... Saving the best till last with boroughs tastiest donuts made by Bread Ahead! (Also a renown school for keen bakers!) Sadly many of the usual vendors are not open but a good handful are still open and offering take away services.

I have been living here in London for long time but thankfully I don't know everything about my city yet. Thankfully, because on the day when I'm off from work I can still go around and discover some beautiful treasure and feel nicely surprised and happy . I just discovered this market for myself and I am really glad . It has everything, produce from different countries , home grown food . I love how it is organised and even though, we have pandemic restrictions in place and not all stalls are open , you still can enjoy shopping.

I know that borough market thrive of tourist, but at the moment, it's the best experience for any Londoner out there. You can meet your vendors and this will last beyond pandemic. It's so good to meet the people (farmers, bakers, butchers, fishmongers, independent businesses and more) who deliver tasties to our tables. Fantastic crew, groceries without plastic, everything is fresh and seasonal. Those colours, smells...pure joy during those gray days and beyond.

I'd been wanting to go for ever, and finally made it. Started with champagne by the glass, then drank our way through several bottles of fizz, white and red. A #d2 event! Food courtesy of the Gourmet Goat, highly recommended and lovely staff, and later some steak restaurant which was marvellous too. Marvellous cheeses and delis, can't wait to go back!

Good range of food options, but long lines and crowded area with not alot of place to eat on site. However don't think we should really eat out at the moment.

The smell of glorious food will make you hungry -- hangry if you're in a long queue -- and the big crowds / vast number of tourists will probably make you mad, but it's a delightful place you should visit at least once in your life! You could easily spend a day here; eating, drinking, and socialising w like-minded foodies. Also, some great attractions within walking distance. *TIPS: 1. Hardly any seats; best wear comfortable shoes as you'll mostly be eating standing up 2. Avoid sticky hands; DO bring hand wipes !!

What a veritable feast for eyes ears and mouth! Cheese, chocolate, meats, veg, spices and the best masala tea from Tea2You. Lots of tasters available, independent and some inexpensive and others so pricey you think twice! But it's a lovely environment. Lots of places to eat around. The vibe is great too. Have a mooch if you can. Short walk from London Bridge.

a source of food for London since - 1756. Its current design is from1851, and does look like the typical railway stations of that time with curved iron girders and glass roof. A smell of glorious food will make you hungry -- hangry if you're in a long queue -- and the big crowds / vast number of tourists will probably make you mad, but it's a delightful place you should visit at least once in your life! What a place! Borough Market is full-to-the-brim with stalls selling the most wonderful produce - I only wish I'd have bought a bigger bag. It is the perfect spot for a Sunday morning stroll, topped off with pastries and coffee. The only difficult choice was who to buy from! Yes, yes, yes Borough Market; we will be back.

Have always enjoyed coming here over the years but hadn't been back in a while. Would be nice to see a greater concentration on zero kilometres local seasonal produce, but still a great atmosphere and loads of yummy food to try.

Arguably the best food market in London. There is so much choice between all the street food and fresh produce sellers so go hungry and do a lap of the market so you don't miss anything. The food in most of the stalls looks excellent though some of them are quite pricey. I'd recommend Bob's lobster van especially the lobster roll, it's expensive but it's incredible and well worth trying

This is the best market in London town. They have some of the best produce, food, pizzas (Bread Ahead), coffee (Monmouth coffee), Brownies (Ask for the vegan brownies at The Cinnamon Tree bakery) your won't regret it. Love the veg market especially this season with the all the different melons of varying sizes and color. A true spectacle.

Such a fabulous market for fine foods. Very impressive. Several oyster bars too. Lobster incredible. If you love cheese or doughnuts there is something for everyone. Well worth a visit. Was 32 today and a little uncomfortable, however it was bustling and there were cool pockets with a breeze under the railway bridges to cool off.

So many fabulous stalls with such an amazing selection. The atmosphere is wonderful. Its probably wise to get there as early as possible as things can sell out buy midmorning if they are really popular. It also gets really busy by lunchtime.

Really cool market with a lot of food and drink options! Nice place to grab a beer and just walk around and look at all the different stalls or grab a proper meal. You can also get a pretty cool view of The Shard from here as well.

The market offers a wide range of food from all over the world, and the lively atmosphere with its vibrant colors made it an unforgettable experience. There is truly something for everyone here, whether you're a foodie or just looking to soak up the energy of the crowd. The market is a must-visit spot for anyone visiting London, and it's a perfect place to capture some amazing photographs.

Borough Market is a must-visit for any foodie in London. It's a vibrant and bustling market with stalls selling everything from fresh produce to international cuisine. The atmosphere is electric, and the food is simply delicious. We went on a Saturday afternoon, so please expect long queues for the popular food outlets. Overall a great visit and would recommend to locals and tourists.

Chill day out for some food. Stroll though the market for fresh seafood and some drinks. Great choice for a weekend day trip, only downside is there is no outdoor seating to eat.

  • 5/5 Sankar M. 4 months ago on Google
If you love crowds and madness go for weekends. Else stick to the weekdays. This place is heaven for food lovers. Varieties of stalls for each delicacy. Abundance of food specially the non-veg sections. Roam around and try them as much as your tummy can take.

I love this market, so much to try, such a versatile selection of food, drinks and produce. If you looking to try different food, drinks and buy some good quality products I would definitely go to Borough Market. It’s not too far from London Bridge, you can go with tube or bus.

  • 5/5 Alvin B. 2 months ago on Google New
Best market in London! Despite the crowd there are wonderful people taking control of crowd movement. Foods here are of wide variety and absolutely delicious! The black pig and wild mushroom risotto is a must try! For pastry lovers do check out bread ahead! Will come back for the oysters and more.

Cracking market which looks well nice with the lights dotted around it, just a stones throw away from London Bridge. Lots of fresh produce, including fruits, cheese, pastries and spices from all over the place. Really nice to walk around, smelling all the nice smells and even sampling some of the goods before you buy. Plus you have the bonus of being undercover, now that's always handy to know with our Great British weather.

One of my favourite spots in the city! Great to have some lunch and get small things from different stands (it is busy there during lunch time though). You can get take lots of the items sold home as a souvenir and there’s loads of nice shops around the market itself as well.
