Visiting Cable Street and the mural is an incredible experience. The mural is really impressive and you need to take a bit of time to explore it and look at the detail. An incredible piece of British history happened on this street.

Powerful and resonant, still packs a wallop against complacency. Though not the actual location of the confrontation this mural, all mayhem, commemorates the largely united local community making a stand against Fascist provocation. Pertinently the depicted violent confrontation is between protesters and the police who are allegedly enforcing and protecting the Fascists’ right to march. Completed in 1983 and subsequently vandalised on a few occasions. ...”a monument to our ability to overcome oppression.” * * Dave Binnington. (Original artist)

No need for tickets.... The mural depicts the coming together of Catholic Irish, communists, east Ender's and others to stand up for their Jewish neighbours against the black shirts of Moseley.
